To shooters this should be no surprise.

How many of us have gone out, never fired a shot, and just spent the few hours out to enjoy the walk, clear our head, or just to break cabin fever?

People see hunters as murderers. People that "want the kill". They truly don't understand the mental aspect which can have a physical aspect. That is without even touching on the, as the report said, financial aspect.

It is estimated that Irish sport shooters contribute over €115 MILLION Euro to the exchequer each year. I think that might even be low balling it. Some 140,000 people spending a minimum of €1,000 per year would easily top €140 million. When you consider those that would spend over €1,000 and then the other smaller bits it's not hard to see each person spending this much.
