G4 Plus has the fingerprint scanner
G4 is the same as plus but with no scanner and 2gb of Ram
G4 Play is this one and the lowest spec of the range.

The first two have 5.5inch screens. The play has a 5inch. Generally it is people who want the smaller form factor that are buying the G4 Play so not really comparing like with like above.

Not a huge saving over buying it from one of the networks here, maybe save €20

As far as a phone goes I've been using one for the last 2 weeks since my 6s broke down, for the money it's an excellent phone. Minimum bloat ware, runs smooth and snappy. Don't think you could go too wrong with it, nice size and weight.
I'm not going to critisise it as I'd be comparing to a phone that costs €800 and the little Moto punches well above its price.

G3 and G4 play are very similar.

It's got nothing in common with the G4.

The G4 is a bit big imo at 5.5".

Is this a bit on the thick side at 9.9mm or acceptable? Not held it in my hands so in comparison to phones in this range is it noticeably thicker (not sure how different the feel is in a 7mm V 10mm)

It's light and thin, if feels like a feather in my hand compared to an iPhone 6s. Grippy back so it's not slipping out of your hand. It could be heavier though I never checked the weight, it feels good in the hand though, not something you need to rush and buy a case for due to the grippy back.

Plus also has 16MP camera
G4 has 13MP camera

Plus and G4 also have a bigger processor, I got the Plus the other day. Grand phone so far, decent upgrade from my very battered S4, battery nothing special, but the plus also comes with a turbo charger which can get it up to 80% in about 20 mins (other versions this can be purchased separately for €25 odd)

If bought from Motorola, unlocked. If bought from Three, obviously locked to Three.

Same here also with meteor ireland and tesco uk g3. Unlock code for g4 is only £1.15 on ebay anyway.

I ordered a 64gb g4 plus a few weeks ago. I had to use address pal and pay pal as they would cancel the order when I tried to use PM.

Parcel motel is meant to be swamped with little hope of delivering before Xmas, I'd go with an post address pal if your hoping to have it before Xmas still no guarantee but the an post address is in the uk and there very quick the address pal is up north. Find an post quicker myself.

Can anyone point me in that direction? Can't find it for love nor money.

the missus has a g4 and regular charger is really slow but she uses my xiaomi note 4g charger and it works as a turbo charger for it. Might be cheaper to get another turbo charger brand than motorola official one if thats any help

Look for one that supports Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0. (Or turbo charging). Its the same thing. A regular charger even one that has 2.4a isn't QC unless it say it in the specs. And you'll need a decent cable. Only some of mine support fast charging.

Was out of stock on Sun, but got G4 Plus ordered yesterday, didn't work with addresspal and visa debit, but when I cancelled and tried again with paypal using addresspal as card address, it went through. The first 2 codes work and that brings it down to £159 but the 3rd = KENSMOTO is not vaild. Any idea if there is a new 3rd code as I would love to get this phone for the £79.01.

Unfortunately not, after my order being cancelled yesterday I tried this morning and KENSMOTO had expired. Was going to try buy it again with a revolut card instead of my irish debit card.

As of yet no new codes have popped up. Hopefully we'll get one for new years.
