I'm trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with that suggestion, if anything..?

I don't want to know any GOT spoilers, and muting it was the first thing I did. Probably, a lot of of others did so, too.

She posted spoilers and then posted about muting it. Some people might not even be aware you can mute stuff like that on Twitter.

She could just not post any spoilers

If that's genuinely your line of thinking, then you're part of the problem.

Ah here, she and thousands like her.

You'd want to be seriously naive to go on Twitter directly after a major GOT broadcast, and not expect not to encounter GOT spoilers.

Of course people should be muting it.

May, June and July when I was going to school anyway

She keeps saying Lizzo's song Juice is from her debut album as well, when it's actually her third solo album.

Meteorological summer is June to August, ignore me though I am just being pedantic with her today as I have been out of the office for a couple of weeks.

And traditional Irish summer is May to July.

Well... more accurately, it's about 5 random days in May, about 20 in June (usually coinciding with the Leaving Cert), and July is anyone's guess...

Why didn't they just give the slot to someone lwho actually knows their music, rather than a talk show presenter?

At least that explains why we get it wrong here.

that would cause 80 percent of irish radio presenters to lose their jobs....and for some reason the higher ups of the stations thinks the public want "content creators" and "personalities"

Some of you seem a bit obsessed with Muireann to be fair

Alison Curtis is now a columnist for the examiner - being a green parent without being a mean parent ... oh god she’s giving Louise O Neil and a few others a run for the most irritating writer for that paper

Bad news for Muireann OConnell and Fergal Darcy in today’s JNLR figures. I reckon it’s only a matter of time and they’ll both be given their marching orders from Today FM.

You'd think that, but logical decisions (in my opinion anyways) and today FM don't make for great bedfellows.

Maybe the two of them haven't created enough content. :pac:

They're both down 6000 listeners. Read something on The Journal.ie about it earlier..

I guess RTE with the lure of TV got Doireann over TodayFM.

How long more will TodayFM leave "Uncle Ferg" in his sloth as he is just painful to listen to - yes yes yes I can change the radio, but its a work one and I suually pop the headphones in when he is on but can still hear him in the background

They might leave them there for a while yet. The station's daytime schedule has undergone so much change, they might want some stability for now.

Have to say it's great that Ed Smith is back on at 7 p.m.

That man is an example that a good DJ does make a difference! I listened to Lost in Music when he was presenting it & the week Louise came back, I couldn't stick it - her song choices just grate on me & Ed just picks such good tunes! He is a bit like Dave Fanning - he seems to be allowed to mainly pick his own playlist, which is good in this day and age. We don't all wanna hear the same 10 songs/artists on repeat all day.
And if it would have worked, I would have made a big donation to their Dance day to NOT play George Ezra or Hozier for a week!

Ed Smith, Kelly Anne Byrne and Paul McLoone are like a breath of fresh air in the evenings.

This. Love all three. And I never would have considered myself a lover of dance/disco/soul/whatever it is she's playing, but she (and Declan Pierce) have really broadened my tastes over the last while.

They should've made her a big offer and replaced Muireann with her.
