Fish finger sammiches are gorgeous but must made on either batch or a soft floury bap with just butter.

I eated granola. Nearly all of it. Not even sorry.

I just puked in my mouth a little.

That's one of the mankiest things I've ever read.

    Ah Whoopsadoodles.:(

I can tell you now that the first time I ever had a fish finger and beans sandwich was in the old BHS cafe on O'Connell street (Pennys now) in the late 70s. Fish fingers beans and chips on a paper plate with bread and butter. Sure what else would I do with the bread and butter???

    Nom Nom stuff.:D

Had the Smartly Boxed pre cooked Aldi shoulder of lamb again last night - it seems to taste better each time, you have to cook it in oven for 45 mins - the trick is to wrap it in greasproof paper to contain all the juices then 5 mins from end lift it out for a few secs and discard melted fats etc then return to roasting dish and drizzle over with wonderful sauce in separate sachet but dont let it dry out Its like lamb falling off the bone Great for 2 people.

Stiffed fillet of pork, celery, carrot and baby boiled potatoes. Stuffed myself right now. Digesting time, then the washing up.

So after making omelettes in the sandwich maker, using the waffle plates, am now looking to see what else I can make in there. But for now, it's just a very chunky meaty pasta and home made tomato sauce. Left overs may or may not be used to experiment in future sandwich/waffle/griddle press eats.

Meal prepped quinoa and black rice blend, red cabbage, broccoli and a few salmon darnes. Eating clean sucks but I do have a fondness for red cabbage lately.

Probably the nicest tea and toast I've ever eaten.

Roast spuds with a beef casserole on top. Casserole has carrots, onion and peppers too! Some Brennans best of both bread to mop it up and a glass of milk to wash it down.

    Good Night!

Read an article about 5-a-day today and it inspired me to make a curry with a whole load of vegetables in it. Lime pickle, coconut milk as well.

    It was ok.

Brought tea and toast to the patient and need some myself now. What is it about the smell of hot buttered toast?

Eh it's ten a day now, so the fruit and vegetable police tell us. Did you not salute and obey. FGS. You are doomed.

Well it is the one thing new mothers go mad for in the maternity hospitals. + tea of course.

But I hear that toast is Verboten now due to elf and safety concerns. My Arse.

One of my daughters is a midwife and she still supplies plenty of tea and toast.

Scrambled eggs, bacon and avacado washed down with black coffee. Trying to begin the New Year health buzz. All the good work from last year undone in the last 3 months.

I wish I liked avocadoes but I don't like the texture and they're bland too.

Having a sliced apple and peanut butter.

What's the safety issue with toast?World's gone mad if that's true..

Just heard somewhere that toasters can go on fire or something. Hence the elf and safety thing. Also when my mother was in hospital recently there was no toast either. She was not post giving birth obviously, everything was contracted in, breakfast was cereal and bread and butter. No toast.

It's the toasters. They can burn the place down apparently.

Seriously. Ask anyone now in hospital.

Saw somebody getting tea and toast in a hospital bed on numerous occasions within the last 6 weeks.

Nope. Mine earlier was had in hospital. Only delish.

(Could be in some of course but it's actually what they get you to eat nowadays if you've had your tonsils out instead of ice cream!).

Pizza in the oven, yes I'll pay for it tomorrow but let the last hour be the hardest.

I've only been visiting, but all I saw were two triangles of sliced WHITE bread, no toast, and a portion of jam and butter on the side.

That's plonked down before the main event. I won't even go there.

Middle of the night coffee and toast; gale woke me around 2 am and got bored. Thanks to all of you I have been eating far more than I usually do these last days and need to slow down...;)

But food here in Galway seems much more plentiful and interesting. Just that I am more at ease here I think...:D

And you all give me so many ideas; not all of them ones I want to follow ;)

Exhausted today so will calm it..

Toasters dangerous? Same as chip pans. PEOPLE are dangerous not pans etc.

Pancakes with butter, lemon and sugar.

    Deliciously good!

Pancakes all over facebook and bleedin snapchat so I dragged myself out of bed and nutribulleted the batter.

There's enough for a mid afternoon snack and the mammy is sending me a dinner later which will likely have a dessert of some mooore pancakes :D
