been a strange old day foodwise. Dinner ie lunch was the rest of the excellent chicken stew with apple. Just what we used to call "bitting" since then..a bit of this and a bit of that. YOU know..finishing with a quiet wispa.. shhhhhhhh!

Cooked rice for the dog. she is reserving judgement... aiming to use last winter's extra stock before restocking..

Bad and all as I am with the sweet stuff, I don't buy Maltesers or Cruchie because I'll wolf the lot in one sitting.

We call that "pecking" and it has evolved.
    "I'm pecked" - I'm hungry for a snack,
"Would you like a peck?" - would you like a snack?
A peck is always savoury and normally proper food in small amount.

Today I had a waffle and some beans then dried fruit and nuts. Dinner was quorn gammon in a ciabatta with rocket and tomato and a sprinkle of cheese, side of chips from the airfryer. Then snacked on popcorn and a half a packet of minstrels while watching a film.

With us it is more like picking... nothing as organised as a snack..just.. bits of that and whatever is around that can be pinched! Death to a diet,,
