You sound like a Jedi Knight.:D I say that because after a visit to the cinema today for the latest Star Wars extravaganza, me and my lil Jedi decamped to Supermacs. I had the Christmas burger. A feckin huge thing with onions and mushrooms etc. Chips too! Massive! Now I sit with some Hop House 13, happy, content and feeling worthwhile. Girlies in bed. Won't be far behind them!

Did a big chunk of beef in the slow cooker. Turned out unreal.

Had hot beef, cheese and ballymaloe relish sambo.

And another two slices of beef! So much for it lasting two days

Dinner was Mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, Spiced beef, roast lamb, ham and covered in parsley sauce. I cook Christmas dinner and I always make bread sauce for the parents and it went down a treat today.

Dessert was sherry trifle with extra fruit and custard. Tomorrow’s dinner will be the same but mint vienetta for dessert:)

    Happy Christmas everyone :)

Butternut squash and roasted chestnut soup, roast carrots, turnip, onion, potatoes with turkey, smoked ham, and plain ham cooked in cider, brown sugar and wholegrain mustard, then roasted with reduced cooking juices for glaze, sausage meat stuffing wrapped in bacon and gravy.
Cannot move, trifle in fridge still, layers of puree fruit soaked sponge, peaches and pears with amaretto, strawberry and raspberries, topped with cream. I don't eat it myself, but daughter will probably have some for breakfast before work tomorrow, starts at 6.30! I'll be going back to bed. Might roast a couple of spuds and some more veg and start on the leftovers tomorrow evening

I'm even later to the party!

Christmas Day reads like this. A simple Cheeseboard for breakfast with some brown bread. The Dinner has been well described here before and it went down a feckin treat. Everyone loved it. To sum it up, it was Chinese takeaway food, but much better quality. Dessert was more traditional - Strawberry trifle. I got invited around to a friends house and ended up having another dinner of Pork, spuds and a magic sauce. Followed it up with a Sherry trifle. When I got home I heated up an Oyster Thigh Chicken dish covered in BBQ sauce. Had a few of them with a bedtime beer. Me and Mrs G nearly nibbled on a bar from the selection box that Ive had by the bed since Christmas Eve.:D

As for today we started with a fry up and then straight to dinner which was roast beef, roast spuds, sprouts, peas. carrots, stuffing and gravy. Finished off the Strawberry trifle too. Wrecked tired after all the cooking and cleaning up afterwards!
