I get notification a month before my insurance is due for renewal - both by post and email. Every company has done this for years, at least in my dealings with them.
Often, there's a phone call as an additional reminder, from some other insco / broker hoping to get me as a new customer.

Was probably the same one that didnt have the home insurance last year when the house burnt down and had everything replaced via Duffy Insurances!!

A few minutes ago, it was unthinkable that anyone would ever get into the car without insurance.

Now it's 'common sense' to overlook such behaviour.

Yes they do with the no claims reminder. Last time mine was up for renewal I got the letter about 6 weeks before, then got a weekly email reminding me.
