I've used them all. Wizard would get my vote for flexibility (assuming what you are buying will ship to NI)

Whats the difference between the V6 animal and dc59 animal, which is 33 quid sterling cheaper?

I've used all three but I'm unsure which will accept these items, I think parcelwizard is best bet, 40 x 40 x 60? Definitel ytoo big for motel and address pal oversize charge is a flat €21!

they rebadged the dc59 to v6, no difference

It depends on the floors in your house.
I have the V8 absolute and it has hard floor, carpet attachments.

Is the V6 only in the hand held or is there a version that's bigger which you pull around?

The av6 is the handheld range. The pull around have a different range of motors.

Picked up the V6 animal when they refurbs ones were on sale on eBay a few months back.

Quality etc with the refurb it was perfect, came plain packaged but otherwise appeared new.

Just on the hoover itself, it's ok, don't expect it to clean a carpet. It's for a quick clean, it's not capable of a good deep clean. You'll still need a proper hoover.

I haven't tried the V8 but if buying again I wouldn't buy the V6 it's just not powerful enough. We have a miele cat and dog and there's no comparison.

The fluffy head, i'm still not getting it, we've an oak floor the normal v6 head is used on and it's fine, not sure it's worth the extra.

    Worked out as €260

It wont let me buy this one. It says the seller may not deliver to Ireland. How did you get around that?

Does paypal allow you to change address to a uk one?
Or are people paying with credit card?

Mine does, have parcelmotel, parcelwizard, work, home etc and change to whichever suits me.

BTW mine has shipped to parcelwizard, it seems they may have left the PW code off the address though....I may give them a heads up.

I think you have hit the nail on the head here.
These are not more powerful than the traditional Nilfisk units or anything but because of their handiness I find myself grabbing it daily and doing a different room as you go about. This in turns leads to the whole house getting hovered more often.

There was a breakdown on the HDUK thread, it was quite helpful.

Yes if your actually in the market for one.
We use our handheld now 100% of the time. It has replaced the main pull around Hoover. One full charge, and I can get my whole house done (3 storey/125 Sq. M) with a mixture of max power for the carpets and only need low power for the hard floors.

I'm in the market for one but can wait for Jan/Feb as waiting on a new house. I guess I'm asking which is black friday good value ;)

    Agh right.
There's another thread on here about them.
I have been researching changing from my older DC34 Animal for the last month.
I checked every single one of them out.
This dyson sale is a refurb sale and they happen every now and again.
If you want brand new, the cheapest in Ireland and England at the moment is Donaghys up north.

    https://donaghybros.co.uk/vacuums.html

There's no V8's on the eBay sale, that's what I ended up with (Absolute Version).

Its the cheapest the V6 models have been on their eBay store so far.
I bought one a few weeks ago and it was around 155 pounds.

    Different head attachments.
Do you have all hard floors or a mixture or all carpet?

Mostly laminate and tile. Might have some carpet on the stairs.

You'd need V8 for carpet, we've v6 and it's not good enough, alright for a quick hoover but that's about it.

Its the handheld version only. No extension pole & motorised brush head or wall mountable docking station/charger.

Not sure what head I have, I know it's not the fluffy head one as was going to get it but then thought what was the point, it looks like it'd be worse on the wodden floor, it doesn't hoover it scatters stuff with that rotating head, it wouldn't pick up a pea for example it just flings it off somewhere else in the room.
At the cheap price it's a handy hoover for the car or shifting small dirt, it certainly isn't a replacement for a real hoover, you'll still find yourself going back to the normal hoover for a proper clean.
