Anyone spot any decent Warehouse deals?

no, anything I was interested in is unavailable on warehouse atm

Playstation VR is 360 on de site but not giving me 50 off.

When items hit the warehouse a lot are now deliverable to Ireland than were not when they were new e.g. I got a roofbox in 100% condition earlier in the year delivered whereas they will not deliver the new one, the box was only massive.

Thanks, just got a Lumia 950 XL for about €270, was described as Item is in original packaging, but packaging will come damaged. It doesn't say anything about any other damage so hopefully it's grand.

This is a joke but you could buy it, scratch the box and return it. A lot of the warehouse stuff I've bought have been scratched boxes.

Hi I just added a £245 TV but do not see the 50 off coming up in the basket?

When I bought something earlier it didn't take the discount off until after I selected the payment method, then it showed it before finalising payment.

Thanks OP, just got a JBL Charge 3 for £88 (reduced from £129.99) plus lots of other things I had on my wishlist :)

For anyone who is availing of this and is just short of making up the £200 you get a slight "benefit" if you can call it that from the Irish VAT rate.

    Example:
The items in my basket added up to £199.69 but when I reviewed the basket and clicked the drop-down box to calculate shipping, VAT, etc. with my Irish address it upped the price to £200.44 and then applied the discount to bring it down to £150.44.

It's not huge but could save a couple of quid or get you over the line rather than buying needless small crap to make up the £200.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,725 ✭✭✭Metric Tensor

    Apologies - double post.

But now that I think about it the VAT rate should make a few quid difference rather than a few pence.

Either way - double check if you are slightly under the magic number because it might still be ok.

Weird I didn't think they delivered to Ireland with free postage from Warehouse Deals.

All the items I chose ended up costing about £30 in delivery, but perhaps due to the size/weight, so I had to Parcel Wizard them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,725 ✭✭✭Metric Tensor

I've done two orders in the last few days from warehouse. Both coming straight to my door.

First order was just a monitor on its own. Second was a whole lot of bric a brac - 8 items in total.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,079 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

strange... anyway they made a mistake on my order and credited me €12 by accident so I guess I can use that to cover the Parcel Wizard prices

Just a heads up re delivery - I signed up to prime and got free delivery from Amazon Warehouse to my parcel motel

Amazon warehouse always has free delivery, if you spend £20 or more I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,458 ✭✭✭Danick

Thanks - good to know - I had just happened to sign up to prim in preparation for Black Friday so I thought that had something to do with the free postage - good to know that anything over 20 is free for future reference.

    it's £25 actually

I signed up to Prime as well and I think this might be the reason I was being charged for delivery to Ireland.

But on the other hand was offered expedited delivery to UK.

I recall something about this before.

the default option if not free, you need to change it manually

I've had a watch on this Robot Vacuum for a while waiting for a good deal.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neato-Robotics-Botvac-Enabled-Cleaner/dp/B014J7N1KA/ref=lp_2441116031_1_1?srs=2441116031&ie=UTF8&qid=1479381557&sr=8-1

It's the Neato Robotics Botvac Connected, it's their top model and the main rival for the Roomba 980 which is about €1000

It's on sale for Black Friday at £440.

According to camelcamel that's practically the lowest it's ever been.

    http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Neato-Robotics-Botvac-Enabled-Cleaner/product/B014J7N1KA?active=summary&utm_campaign=products&utm_source=camel-view-product&utm_medium=email&context=alerts_anon&ctx_pid=36370846&ctx_cid=40236644&ctx_aid=166417394&oelid=17C2J832C2R248C7A&ctx_act=product&ctx_src=chart

But that also means it's now reduced in the Amazon warehouse, it's £362 there at the moment

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B014J7N1KA/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

With £50 off any purchase over £200 that brings the price down to £312, Vat changes when you ship to Ireland so works out at £324 or around €375.

Would ye recommend buying fro ware house....
I was looking at a bean to cup machine "used" was the description.... could description mean that it was returned because it was faulty....

    Or
what exactly is the deal with ware house sales?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,441 ✭✭✭xtal191

Its fine buying from the warehouse but I'd always go for "Very Good" or "Like New" condition.

Also click read more to see if there's any cosmetic damage but a lot will come repackaged or with a damaged box once you go for Very Good or Like New condition.

Here is a link to their explanation to the condition. Like xtal191 said click read more too, tells you exactly what condition it is in.

I've had mixed experience with it, bought a few items that were described as

Condition: Used - Good - The item may come repackaged. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top, front or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item. Accessories may have cosmetic damage

But were brand new, all accessories in sealed original bags etc..

Bought a strimmer that was described as

Condition: Used - Very Good - Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top, front or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item. Missing owner / user manual.

But had dry grass caked onto it and rusty screw heads. Contacted their online chat and got an additional 20% refunded from that.

the default option if not free, you need to change it manually

nah wasn't presented with that option which seems odd.

I'm an Amazon user for years now so know all the ins and outs :)

It's possible some of the Warehouse deals come via 3rd party sellers so that might explain it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,725 ✭✭✭Metric Tensor

A tip is that for some items they have more than one version of it in the warehouse - if you click on "X used from £20.00" or whatever it will bring you to a list of all the ones available in the warehouse and you can read the condition description of each and select the one that you think is in the best shape!

Yes but rarely in my experience its actually like they listed. I imagine stock pickers dont have the time nor patience when picking the item to make sure its the one you ordered

    Just to give an example:

I have in front of me a box, from an item bought via Warehouse as used - very good.

Item description as per order summary reads
    Condition: Used - Very Good
Item will come repackaged. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy.

I have the box. The original box, not a repack. The box was resealed (so I presume previously opened) and has a couple of scuffs on attached labels, probably from being delivered, returned, and delivered to me. The internal contents were in factory bags, with all plastic covers attached, effectively brand new.

Based on the RRP, I saved over £10 on it (£36.99 new, £26.35 warehouse), and it is covered by Amazon's guarantee, so it could have been shipped right back if something was wrong.

While you may get a lemon, I would say 99% of warehouse stuff is perfectly fine to get, but only you can decide if the saving is worth the question mark over it.

I purchased an item in Amazon warehouse last week. It arrived yesterday. It was in very poor condition. And parts missing. Obvious from appearance that it was well used. Got on to refunds, they said to send it back, they refund price and postage. Great.
Today I read dis30 post above, so decide to contact chat support. Within 5 mins they had refunded my money AND have a new version of my item being delivered. I will have it Monday. My item originally cost 175 euro, they are giving a new version to me for free!

    Bargain.
    Well done Amazon.

I suppose that makes sense. I only ordered one or two things from the warehouse in the past and have been lucky enough to get something that was almost new each time.

I've a computer monitor due in the next few days so we'll see how it goes!

bought from warehouse before, got something that was malfunctioning. its a hassle having to send back, as sometimes they dont give you the free post option. however, generally they are very good at refunding and can order other things.

apart from the slow delivery times, i have good things to say about amazon.

To be honest I think the last thing they want is to get their junk back in the warehouse, and they're more than happy to give out the cash and save the storage space.

Cheers OP, just got a cracking warehouse deal on an Optoma HD141X projector it was down as £351.75 with another £50 off! Rated very good condition and in original packaging so hopefully its not a dud.
Bit sceptical as to will it be honoured as there was another listed as good for £423.

Fingers crossed, €350 for a 1080p 3d projector is not bad at all :D

I bought a Benq w750 projector during the week which is about £450 new. With the £50 reduction it came to £247. It was described as like new. It was delivered yesterday via PW. All going well until I opened the Benq w750 box only to discover an ancient Hitachi projector covered in scratches. When I googled the model it had been out of production since 2005. This is the second time in recent months this has happened. Last August I purchased a like new dji phantom 3 pro and when I opened the box which had pro marked on it, there was a phantom 3 advanced inside of which the shell was all cracked.
They don't seem to check items that are being returned very well.

Bought a nowtv smart box recently from them which was missing the 4 month movie pass.

They told me they check everything but then said if they are busy stuff can get missed and not checked! Hassle to return it and ended up buying from curry's cheaper.

Same here. I had my eye on the same projector. Browsing last night and saw that there was an added discount after midnight. Picked one up, delivered to parcel motel, for £288. Worked out at €335 using Revolut.

We'll see how it is when it arrives but, reading here, it seems that Amazon's customer service is pretty good in situations where the item isn't in great condition.

I think you got a good deal Rob. Only €15 difference between us. There aren't too many there at the price we got them. If the projectors we get are in good condition we've both done really well.

Oh ya I'm happy, I'll be happier if the condition is good. I got a TV before from them, the only problem was there was a huge deep slice in the original box, like someone unwrapped a pallet and cut into the box at the same time. Said it to customer care, the damage to the box was more than "a slight imperfection" and they were like you can send it back or I can refund you 20% of the purchase price. Took the 20% the box wasn't even opened :D

The rule of thumb with warehouse deals is find something wrong no matter how small and complain to customer care, you will get something off again if you ask. They don't want the product back so would rather keep you sweet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,419 ✭✭✭✭rob316

Another thing is the reviews are good but they have a huge amount in these hd141x in warehouse deals constantly, makes me worry how good they are if they are getting so many returns.

Amazon have officially changed policy and they will no longer price match. I have been informed of this on two recent occasions and advised to send the item back and reorder at the new price which is stupid as amazon then incur return costs

Threatening is a possible way to get account suspended if you get a high up or grumpy chat rep. Its not worth it, as Amazon bans are tough to get around. They ban your actual address so you cant re register.

I think you should Google amazon ban accounts. Or check on HUKD. People have had account terminations for abuse of this, and theres no warning, its just banned and you cant ever use amazon again bar moving to a new address and having a new card. Your family accounts get banned also. Also any gift card or digital media you have is gone. Its actually more common than you think. They can see your account history like you can so see if your always getting partial refunds, and are encouraged to report accounts like these.

Dont come crying when your account is kapoot
