    How did Alonso look today

He looked solid. But it was all about Costa and Hazard.

Ivanovic coming on late on has me worried as I'm dying up Alonso if he is going to start long term.

I'd guess either Alonso or Moses will make way for Ivanovic to go CB, with Azpilicueta reverted to wing back.

I could be miles off on that but at circa 6.0 I'd need Alonso to be nailed on for the season.

Dave is solid out!!! Bit pricey for a defender at 6m though

I feel I need to get rid of Deeney and Benteke but who should go first ?

Hard to make a decision based on fixtures.

Also looking at replacements and Lukaku and Austin are on the shortlist but again fixtures are not making the decision any easier.

I could free up money quite easily if needed too.

Have 2 FT and need to stop the rot fast.

Thinking Eriksen to Sanchez, and Benteke to Vokes....and start playing 4-4-2 or 3-5-2

Agggghhhh....head-melted already and this game week isn't even over yet.

Think I might pass on Sanchez and bring in Hazard instead....less explosive I guess but in cracking form and no European football (and a bit cheaper as well :))

That allows me to bring in Holebas for Valencia and hang on to Benteke for another bit. A Chelsea or Arsenal defender is tempting but would require a hit

Thinking of taking a hit to do

    Ibra/stanilas out for hazard/striker <7m

Only thing stopping me is its a 4 point hit and this weeks fixtures are decent

I just did a -8. I scored 84 this week, but it's that kind of season and the transfers I want had no margin for increase. Onwards! :pac:

    Valencia to Pieters
    Mane to Sanchez
    Payet to Hazard
    Rashford to Barrow

-12 and will have 0.4 ITB.

Not really sure what to do. I really want back on the Hazard train (only took out cause of price falls)

Thing is, if I wait one week will it be too expensive?

    Why would I wait?

Perhaps Mane & Payet have better fixtures over the next 2 weeks + I can wait on see if any injuries after International break.

Mane - Home to Watford , Away to Soton
Sanchez - Home to Spurs, Away to Utd
Payet - Home to Stoke, Away to Spurs
Hazard home to Everton, Away to Boro

    Any advice?

Almost certainly doing my Valencia to Brunt plan a week ahead of schedule.

I get Brunt and Gardner mixed up. Why ?

Have they both provided cover in full back positions in previous seasons ?

Do they both take free kicks ?

I know Brunt is now back fully after injury and is a first teamer but is Gardener not a first teamer also ? I see he has missed out recently so was it due to injury or has he lost his place.

Am I right to confuse the two ?

capoue price drop actually doesnt affect me so I can watch Stoke game first and then decide what to do

Christ I've almost managed to convince myself now to keep ibra and go bellerin to fuchs and Antonio to coutinho for free . Could throw Austin for bony after Europa too assuming bony doesn't tear if up tomorrow night in which case I'd keep him!
Ibra just HAS to start converting all these chances soon.........right ??????right???????
sensible course of action is ibra to Austin (or even more sensible lukaku) and antonio to coutinho and keep/use money to get hazard

You could leave Ibra this week, but I wouldn't want to be without Lukaku GW12 home to Swansea. He's arguably the best captain that week with the South Americans coming back from internationals

Brunt is listed as a defender due to being played at LB last season. So far, he's been playing in midfield, some times on the wing and he hogs set pieces.
Think Gardner lost his place in midfield last season, hasn't featured much recently

    Likewise for me regarding Capoue.

Have 2 FTs to use. Antonio and potentially Walcott also are on the chopping block. I'm still undecided on who to bring in though. A second Pool mid in addition to Mane might be an idea given their next few fixtures look ok. Southamptons fixtures look favourable too. I'd have to ditch Callum Wilson though and he has Sunderland up next!

I haven't really looked after team value at all this season. I've been losing 0.1s all over the place since the very start. It's a conscious decision though this year. Whereas in previous years I'd have jumped early when a player was about to drop, this year I've held firm and waited til close to the deadline to do most of my transfers. The reason being to avoid injuries and the subsequent -4s to sort them out. At ~50k so far this year compared to >100k at the same stage last season so the more conservative approach seems to be paying off I think. The downside of course is that when I've got 2 choices for a replacement player, I'm generally 0.1 or so short for my preferred option. :(

Right! Phil Jag, Capoue, Tekkers, Antonio, Tadic definitely out!
    Maybe Lallana and Stek
    In come.............

My main concern is that Gardener will get his place back and he will take over set pieces. I thought Gardener was a mainstay.

Capoue and Valencia out mee and firmino in.
    Front 7 looks tasty

    Firmino coutinho Sanchez walcott
    Agüero Lukaku benteke

and I've gone weak at the knees.

    My OOP senses are tingling

Evans has been on my sell list for a while but WBA's fixtures are looking good going forward.

    coming up:
    leic-After a European game
    BURN
    hull
    WAT
    chels
    SWANA
    MANU

That brings us up to Christmas.

Cheers @Ziegler1988 forcing me to look at WBA's fixtures and seeing I don't need to rush and sell Evans.
I'd even consider a double up if Brunt gets a MF berth.

I really had a brain fart with my transfers last GW .

I should have ditched Walcott last GW as originally planned. Now he's gonna drop and I can't make a straight swap for Hazard.

If I were to do so, I'd have £6.1m for a striker or £5.6m for a def... (aka selling Rashford or Kos). I'd prefer selling Rashford who's been doing nothing for quite a while now... but for who? Vokes?

Look at Fuchs next 4 fixtures maybe.

Yeah... Fuchs for Kos enables Walcott to Hazard.
Does he fully justify the extra £0.4m from Morgan? Is he more attacking?

A 4 pts hit before the last ball in the GW is kicked and ahead of CL is very risky but I may end uip short on cash...

Much more attacking and loves bonus pts. Delivers superb crosses. Takes offensive free kicks and has a thunderbolt shot. Scored last week. Close to a goal and assist vs Spurs.

    He's like a posh Holebas. :)

Payet/Walcott/Valencia out for Hazard/Coutinho/Pieters done last night before the price changes...

Hazard has burned me more than once but happy to take a punt on him for the next couple of gameweeks

As much as I hate a like for like substitution it's Mane>Coutinho to free up funds then I need to get Capoue out and upgrade him with 1.1 ITB. Looking at Redmond for next week but Joe Allen is tempting too for less money.
    Heaton/Jakup

    Pieters Walker Evans Amat Smith

De Bruyne Capoue Chadli Coutinho Sanchez

    Lukaku Aguero Diomande.
