The movie doesn't 'tip it's hat' to "The Matrix".

The whole movie totally depends on The Matrix. Without it, it would be totally meaningless.

I can't believe anyone would not see that.

I watched the first film and The Matrix didn't enter into my head once, and I doubt my enjoyment of it would've been changed in any way if I had read your interpretation of it ahead of time.

If it adds something extra to the film which you appreciate, fair enough :)

But I do think you're reaching to say that the whole movie is dependent on the Matrix. It's perfectly serviceable as its own thing (as it should be).

Awful that people discuss a film on a forum board. Don't people realise that film is not an art form open to interpretation.

Discuss it all you want but quit the patronising digs as ye both come across as tools

What patronizing digs, oh wait I get it you're just looking for a reason to be offended so that you can go on a rant looking for thanks and call people tools. you know what they say about the pot and the kettle. If all you contribute to a thread is trying to get a dig in then, by all means, go right ahead but many others are happy to talk about films and what they take from it.

That would all make sense if it was me that attacked your assessment of the movie but actually it was you that attacked my assessment of the movie. And I'm sure the mod can see that because it's all there in black and white.

It's a bit rich of you to assert that my contributions on this thread was inspired to 'just get a dig in' when if was you that was the aggressor.

It is also doubly rich of you to state that you want to talk about a movie when you patently scoff at the points I made about the movie in question.

It is doubly doubly rich of you to state that many others are happy to talk about films and what they take from it when you totally dissed my contribution.

Actually,I am offended, not because you don't agree with anything I said re the movie, but because you seem so wastefully pugnacious about something that is so trivial.

Mate, you may want to look at who I was replying to. Or do both accounts belong to you? Also, if you think I was being aggressive or dissing you then you need to reread what was posted. I was merely debating you and pointing out that the film was chock full of homages and references to a hundred other films.

Mod note: Settle down please folks. We actively encourage disagreements over films - but please do so without getting so personal :)

This is the first time in my life that I has a spat with someone who agrees with me.

A John Wick based TV series has just been announced. Apparently it'll be a prequel focussing on the Continental Hotel and those who work and stay there. Keanu Reeves is expected to make a cameo appearance. No release date has been mentioned yet.

The expansion of the lore was something I loved about Chapter 2 so I'm happy with this news.

The blu ray is still the cut version here unfortunately, and we also miss out on the commentary >.<

Is the US BR version uncut?

I found it boring, stylish but missing things I normally like in a movie, for example dialogue and a plot
