    So, anyone try Foamstars yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,515 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

The fact its 4v4 puts me right off. Doesn't look like my cuppa anyway. Never got Splatoon, and this looks like it's MT heaven too so nah. They should have pushed Destruction AllStars more, that was kinda enjoyable for a while. But I suppose the allure of Splatoon money is strong.

Poor month after a great month last time. Played both evil west and plague tale to completion.

Play ten mins of steel rising and switched it off. I'm not one for those timed combat games. Might suit anyone that I'd though.

Steel rising is a poor game. Beautiful opening cut scene and then it switches to some weird lanky robot running in a closed garden. I gave it a half hour and deleted.

If you buy a season pass for a game on ps plus and that game leaves plus in future Will you still be able to play it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,515 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

Nope. Base game license is tied to PS+, so you'd have to buy the base game to play it again.

Hey all, not sure if I'm going mad, but I can't seem to see a recurring billing button anymore to turn off PS Plus auto-renew!

Is the only way to do this, to cancel the current subscription?

I don't think they make it that obvious. I go into my account on the website, and into Payment management and turn off the "Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions or Pay for Pre-Ordered Content" I think it may show the auto-renew on the Playstation itself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,027 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

Yeah, cancelling the current subscription works. All this does is set the auto renew to off. I did it with mine as my Premium expires at the start of April, will get monthly subs until June after that to align my sub with Days of Play before getting another year of Extra.

On PS5, go to settings, users and accounts, account, payment and subscriptions, subscriptions, playstation plus.

    Cancel is bottom left.

In app, go to ps store, horizontal bars towards top right, subscription management.

Cancel is on bottom of screen.

    Great, thanks everyone!

Figured that was it, just wanted to make sure there was no auto-renew slider I was missing.

I hope they offer a discount for the top tier soon and I'll re-up. Good until June though with current sub!

I always read that game as Tales of Arse.

Interesting to see AC Valhalla return to the service. That doesn't seem to happen often?

There's a good chunk of paid DLC that may entice people if the base game was free again. I'm tempted to go back to it just so I can get to the fantastical dlc, as I bought the GOTY edition so have all the dlc already paid for, but I only played about 10 hours of it before trading in because it was so boring...

NFS Unbound is actually a good game, if you can get past the cartoonish additions. The (arcade) driving and cars and customisation is fun, and having a list to race against was nice again but it's no 05 Most Wanted. Still, worth a go if you have plus. I ended up buying it digitally during a sale ages back after finishing the story on physical disc before trading.

Keep mixing up Outer Worlds thinking it's Journey to the Savage Planet (while most people mix it up with The Outer Wilds). I did play and finish it, but I had most stuff done and one the story is over there's feck all else to do, so maybe they've updated it. May give it another spin. Combat in Tales of Arise looks pants, so that's a no from me. The 2 Lego games may also get a spin, specifically the Jurrassic Park one, seems like Worlds is a create-your-own-fun game. Roguebook not my thing, and Rogue Lords is turn based so no. Thought I recognised the characters for the art for Tales of Zestria and then copped I watched the anime not too long ago. Combat similar to Tales of Arise so another no. And no interest in the classics.

Few games I'll definitely give a go of at least, and maybe Valhalla. Maybe. Not a bad month in fairness, not accounting for personal tastes.

Happy to see Outer Worlds, I've considered buying it a few times but always hesitated.

Any idea how to get sub cheaper ? I am playing once a week or less for online game like MW, but I wont be paying €72 for this. They are mad with their prices.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,027 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

Nope, Sony segregate subs by country so there's no way to get a cheaper sub without setting up a new account in a cheaper region.

You could wait until June or November either as they reduce the prices then. Unfortunately the gits are preventing existing subscribers from accessing thoses discounts now as they're a garbage company.

If you have a friend/relative you can share the cost.

Only one of you will get the "free" monthly games.

Sifu is a good game, hard as nails though. So much for the widely rumoured line up of Sonic Frontiers, Forspoken and Cult of the Lamb

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,522 ✭✭✭RedXIV

AHA! I knew it would arrive eventually! Didn't buy it last time it was on sale because I could sense it coming :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,367 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

Sifu is a masterpiece. Once you technically master it, it's a beautiful experience. Until you do, some of the bosses are an absolute nightmare (Kiroki).

Achieving the secret (true) ending on a second playthrough is so goddamn satisfying.

Goddamn love Sifu! Brilliant get for people who haven't played it yet.
