Yeah, no surprise they're doing this now the PS5 is available. All of those games are still currently claimable except for Persona 5 which was removed early last year.

Can't say I'm surprised, it is Sony.

I'm sure most people who have a console awhile have the games claimed anyway but it was handy for people who only just got the console.

Example being my niece, got a PS5 for Christmas and was delighted when I told her there were games she could play with PS+ as she only got one game with the console plus a game I gave her. Meant she had plenty to play while building up her game collection.

For fellow thickos like myself;

1) go to PlayStation store (not plus)

2) right bumper for ‘Collections’

3) scroll down to ‘The PS Plus Collection’

4) scroll all the way right to ‘View All’

5) go through and make sure all 19 are added to library. Should all say ‘Purchased’ or ‘In Library’ - unsure why there’s a difference

People who only recently got a PS5 can still add them to their Library and play them after the 9th as long as they have an active Plus sub. I'm surprised it was on this long tbh.

Yeah I seem to remember when the PS5 came out it was expected by people that the Plus Collection was only a temporary thing.

So lasted longer than I expected.

Last time I looked at PS Plus Collection was on the console. Have never seen it in the app.

You can only get access the collection through your PS5 and not the app. It's a bonus only for people that have that console.

I think the difference is In Library games are installed, Purchased are not

This news about the Plus collection reminded me of something that I’ve often wondered; what happens to the games you’ve redeemed through Plus if your subscription lapses (let’s say for one year) and then you re subscribe?

Do you regain the licenses for everything when you sign back up or is it all lost for good?

Official line is that if you let the subscription lapse, you could potentially lose all access to all games you've managed to get before, even if you resubscribe.

In practice, I've a vague recollection of someone losing access to one game after restarting a subscription but the rest were still there.

No you don't lose them,

I've let my subscription lapse several times on playstation and still show stuff from PS3 library even on there...

I hate direct debits so always cancel my subscription soon as I add it to my account

Better not be, from my recollection of seeing what each package offered, the only difference between premium/extra was you got access to the classic catalogue, and the game trials thingy, which is just a demo run of a game from my understanding. So id doubt they will start messing around with what extra gets.. it'd be pretty lame of them to do that..

Also am i mistaken or did they already just have RE7 in the catalogue? As its in my library and i never bought that as i have it on PC 😁
