Saw today on Reddit that the wrestlers connecting flight to Canada was cancelled so loads of them faced a 6-8 hour drive to Montreal after travelling back from Saudi Arabia and all the touring beforehand. Expect a lethargic Raw!

Their travel schedule would drive me insane.

I remember travelling on the train to college for about an hour and a half each way every day used to kill me, have a 5 min walk now, so even the idea of their schedule makes me tired

You'd have to be a special kind of crazy to take on their schedule.

This is the go home show for Backlash? So we get a PPV on a bank holiday weekend.

WWE refs admitting to mistakes which of course will lead to Lesnar/Reigns part 58.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

Id take a hornswoggle run with the title over lesnar now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,349 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Joe has to get involved to give this a modicum of interest now.

If they announce Lesnar/Reigns again tonight, Montreal will slaughter them.

Joe kind of is randomly having a match at backlash against Reigns

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,349 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

    Forgot that.

Just anyone but Reigns. McIntyre! Go for it!

Well he never got eliminated from the Greatest Rumble so maybe a title match as compensation

    Wonderful

    Reigns vs Jinder Mahel

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,290 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Nice too see Reigns and Strowman have made amends after all the stretcher/truck/ambulance pushing and general beating the living hell out of one another. Time is a great healer

Kevin Owens and Finn Balor are still awaiting their universal championship rematch so you may not have to worry about that.

Its not random, its for Reigns to get a win over him before he moves to SD so they can show Reigns is still the massive puppy

ah yes, WWE. you once again make out that I have a fúcking memory that's no longer than that of a goldfish. bravo.

why in the name of fúck does Strowman want to save Reigns or Lashley?
like, why? just because? mere months ago, Brawn wanted to kill Roman Reigns. that's not even hyperbole. he beat him up on a stretcher. he tipped an ambulance over that had Reigns inside. the two of them fúcking despise each other.

and now Brawn helps save him from a mugging. why? he doesn't even have any beef with Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens or Jinder where you could say, 'well he just wanted to beat them up'.

    Christ.

also, I'm sorry, the Roman experiment should just be over. 4 years is long enough. try something else. i don't mind seeing the lad wrestle in the main event as he does deliver, but i'm bored now. it's just over-saturation. how am i supposed to care about someone who has been pounded into the main event for 4 years, despite never actually being given a proper run with the title? like, how? they're so fúcking preoccupied with trying to manipulate the fans into liking him, that they've destroyed him. it's over. he's done. he's never going to be the guy they want him to be.

they chickened out of giving him the belt when they gave it to Seth in that legendary cash-in.
they chickened out of keeping the belt on him after HHH dropped the belt to him in an effort to get Roman over. because God knows HHH can get anyone over, so if all else fails...:rolleyes:
they then chickened out again at Wrestlemania this year.

it's a farce. just get over it Vince. i know you're old, and you're wrestling with your own mortality, and you desperately want Roman to be the last great megastar face of your company, and so cement your legacy's end, but it's not going to happen as you want it to. just accept it. it's just objectively horrendous to watch a guy get reactions that he shouldn't be. turn him heel and/or try something or someone else. for the love of Christ, please.

he likes Brawn. he's a big, mean guy. he's a bit ugly. he likes that, does Vince. admittedly, not as much as the muscly guys with the long hair and chiseled jaw, but he still likes it. so, just go with it. leave Roman in the upper midcard for a while. let him do his thing. heel him up a bit even. and let Brawn be the guy for a while and see what happens. what's the worst that will happen?

please, just give the fans something fúcking different in the main event.

It just goes to show that I'm more excited for SlickRic's take the morning after the show, than I am the show itself. Nail on head once again Sir.

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens V Bobby Lashley & Braun Strowman added to Backlash. I think this event has more "house show" potential than the GRR!

i really just cant comprehend how badly they keep f**king up roman with just terrible terrible booking. They keep trying to force this connection with him and the fans all through misdirect an tricks(lowering the mics)

Like this isnt a guy who has no talent hes a tremendous wrestler whos matches are generally good to great with obvious brock/taker/trips exceptions. all there biggest stars started off big singles runs as heels Hogan, rock, austin even cena. its so damm obivous its what the guy needs is to go off tv for a rest and come back with with a fresh look, attitude, entrance, music everything.

The heel turn isnt even hard its simple booking rant about the how the fans turned on him be a peed off jackass heel. from some pre shield nxt stuff he could play this well. have him destroy seth a guy the fans have a natural connection with and off we go.

Ziggler at the end of their promo "We didn't just come to RAW to steal the show...nah.. We're just going to take it".

Yeah, that's stealing Dolph, still stealing.

They've made Titus falling into a gimmick.....there are no depths. Only entertaining part was Apollo flipping the towel into the stratosphere when it happened.

To be fair the gag has a short shelf life and they were always gonna bring it up on the first Raw after.

The may run it into the ground though. Vince loves slapstick

Remember Fandangoing? Remember Jerry Lawler doing a segment in the ring showing videos from all around showing how popular it was?

    Fandangoing died that night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,966 ✭✭✭Scavenger XIII

All they have to do is a segment on how cool it is to hate on Roman.

I just don't know where to begin. I really don't.
Booking feuds has been the same thing over and over again since CM Punk left.
I'm sick of listening to Paul Heyman, the best friend kevin Owens story line, Hello WWE this was allready done with jericho. Same promo from Reigns every time on the mike cause he has the personality of a peanut.

There's just no good storylines to any PPV's anymore.
