    2FTs made.

    Team looking like:

    Cech (Jakupovic)

    Williams, Evans, (Shaw), (Masuaku), (Amat)
    Ozil, Firmino, Barkley, Antonio, Capoue
    Aguero (c), Lukaku, Defoe

Going to play AOA due to defensive injuries and a strong front 8. Might do a -4 next week to sort out that shambolic defence.

There is no doubt Aguero will start.

Almost certainly. Iheanacho will see minutes - but usually as sub when City are winning comfortably - he may start the odd game, League Cup there's a good chance i'd say, maybe even vs Celtic in the CL which should be a comfortable game for City. Aguero will pretty much start every league game when fit i think. If Pep changes formation to 2 up front that could change things, but there's been no inclination that this will happen with all the midfield talent City have. Most on here would agree getting rid of Iheanacho now is the sensible call

Out of interest, if I could give you 2FT to make defensive transfers what would you do? I'm on wildcard this week and 4 of your back 5 are on my maybe list :o

Ibra and Defoe out, Kun and Rondon in.

And no spare change in the bank :( for the first time

I'm thinking Shaw will be next to be transferred out considering that he is looking at a likely long lay off

Can you afford to bring in Walker or Alderweirield of Spurs for Shaw?

Both have been racking up fairly decent points so far.

I think AOA is made for situations like you have...I would not take a -4 to get a defender in most cases. Plus, all 5 of your midfielders have scoring potential this week.

What about Baines, in their next 7 ties they have five of the "easier" teams and at 5.5 with lots of potential for assists and goals think he's worth a punt.

I cant justify taking another hit when the aoa chip is there..
Its very tempting to get rid of shaw for baines or walker(have 0.4 in bank) but ive been trying not to take hits this yr.
Now i may just turn off my fantasy or il change my mind again...

Any thoughts guys 2ft .9 it be

    Cech Jaku
    Baines Valencia Evans Kone Amat
    Lamela Sanchez Hazard Antonio Capoue
    Zlatan Defoe Benteke

Tempted to go Aguero less after reading the ffs article on historical combos being just as good but captaincy could hurt badly

    Coleman may be a better option a 5.4 v Baines at 5.6.

Anyone thinking about doubling up on Everton defence? Looking at dropping Valencia for Baines (have Williams already)

I have actually had both Baines and Williams from the get go. But it all comes down to who you think is most likely to get a clean sheet for you?

AOA is an option but totally disagree about the old "never take a hit for a defender" line.

This situation is made for taking a hit imo. He needs to get rid of Masuaku for sure (Shaw could be back this week). He could wait and use his precious ft next week, but with so much variability in mids and fwds form wise there will be something more pressing.

Or he could swap Masuaka for Lovren for example, who is very short odds for a CS this week and if he delivers, it will have a high chance of being the equivalent of an extra FT with next weeks FT saved.

AOA would be the best option if he wasn't needing to make a medium to long term change in defence anyhow, with some potential replacements having a great chance of gaining the 4 pts back. Even if he gains the 4 back next week its a break even given the value of the fts sort out attackers.

I'd be all on for taking a hit for a defender. The majority of time I transfer in a def its for a hit. I actually hate wasting my ft on a def. If I was happy with a def for next 6-8 weeks I'd always take a hit.

Exactly this. Timed right I try to make most defender transfers for hits too.

Didn't think that theory had any support around here!

    I'm benching Capoue again :D
This is not like mahrez where he was firing shots in , on pens and frees etc
    5 shots 4 goals
    It just can't continue
    Right ?
Only player in MNF will be heaton!
    That will be torture

Who is the best of the remaining 4.5m or under mids, I'm sure it's been discussed but I'm only dipping in here at the moment :o
Fletcher seems to get the minutes but has he been in the oppositions penalty box yet this decade?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,429 ✭✭✭✭km79

.1 short for Sanchez to Walcott and Defoe to aguero
This is probably a good thing !
Finding it hard to sell hazard for the likes of snodgrass to be honest

    I would go De Roon

It's been a long time since I've been as nervous about not owning a player as I am about not owning Firmino this week. I actually wish I could undo my transfers and get him but it's done now :(

Did Hazard, Ibra, Benteke to Antonio, Aguero and Lukaku (-4). Wish I had just did Hazard and Ibra to Firmino and Aguero but too late now. We sit and wait behind the couch...

Also going AOA - Capoue, Punch, Sanchez, Sterling, Antonio. Benching McCauley over Stones and Valencia.

    Pick two to start.

    Bellerin, Cazorla, Capoue

I have Cazorla benched at the moment but I'm really not sure
