After Wednesday's disappointing result, and listening to Pochettino's post interview, I think we'll come out all guns blazing.

Few players could be set for some bench time.

A few changes wouldn't go astray,I would like to see Dembele and Sossoko start, and maybe Jansen.

Mmm, I wouldn't be opposed to that. Sissoko looks like the only one with any genuine speed, bar the full backs.

Eriksen for me doesn't deserve a starting place. Too many under par performances. Alli is wasted further back.

Was shocked to see Alli cdm Wednesday night

    I predict 4-0.

    Lloris
    Walker Toby Verts Davies
    Wanyama Dembele
    Sissoko Alli Son
    Janssen

No more than Kane I think Dier needs a rest. Eriksen was poor mid week although he ran the show against Stoke. Unpopular opinion but I think we are a better team without Lamela. We lose all shape with him in the side.

    ...............Lloris

    Walker Verts Alder Davies

    .........Dier Dembele

    ... ....Lamela Alli Eriksen

    ................ Kane

I think we will score 2 or 3.

League already shaping up with at least 7 very strong teams with Everton and Liverpool both much improved on last year.

This is the kind of game we need to be winning comfortably. There will be many tougher games so we need to be putting these away at home.

yeah unlike last year, all our rivals have started strongly. Need to stay with the pack.

Yes a win is a must and by a few goals too, goal difference could be important this year

Jansen deserves a start as does sissoko,

    Prob be waynama and dembele

If the fixture was away it would be a slam dunk in my eyes. Am never confident at home especially on a Sunday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Dier, Vertonghen. Wanyama, Dembele. Sissoko. Alli, Son. Kane.

Dier for Davies? Wanyama, Dembele and Sissoko is an exciting prospect.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Sunderland: Pickford, Manquillo, van Aanholt, Djilobodji, Kone, Cattermole, Ndong, Kirchhoff, Pienaar, Januzaj, Defoe.

Substitutes: Mika, Denayer, Khazri, Watmore, O’Shea, McNair, Gooch.

Defoe has a habit of scoring away, been impressed with Kirchhoff. Bar his horrid debut against us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Subs: Vorm, Davies, Trippier, Eriksen, Lamela, Winks, Janssen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,133 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

That practically a whole new mid field this week compared to 2 weeks ago for example

    2 changes in defence too.

Not quite so confident now. should still win by 2.

I'm going for a Spurs riot today....4 or 5 for Spurs....walker, alli, dembele and Kane to score two.

Plenty of games incoming. Still no sign of Wimmer? Chance for Winks to make a cameo if the score line looks pretty.

    unusually poor today

Need to get the ball out wide, that's where we we're causing them problems.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Great run by Vertonghen, hard luck Son.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Poor in the final third again. We don't seem to have anyone making the passes we need to break through their 9 man defence.

Are the Spurs fans booing Sissoko?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

A heap load of chances created. Kane needs to stay in the box.

Yeah. look much better than Eriksen/Lamela

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,170 ✭✭✭Kimsang

Must be sickening for Kane seeing them shoot from so far out. Lacking that incisiveness. Looks like crossing is our best hope.

Yeah. look much better than Eriksen/Lamela

He should of taken the free kick, instead of Dier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,133 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

Sunderland are set up for a nil nil and they might get it.

Need to keep plugging away but we miss the natural width and pace of Rose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,133 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

too much fannying around at the back there. Got away with it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,019 ✭✭✭davycc

Dier down holding his hamstring! Nooo going the same way as dembele

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,133 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

Kane's ankle bent right back there. Looked very sore. Not good.

This game should have been over ages ago. Can't believe they are still in this.
