I'm not sure, but he doesn't give the impression that he is leaving anytime soon.

The lovely Ingrid doesn't want him under her feet all day. :D

She doesn't have a soapbox in the house, so he had to go somewhere during the day.

She started the show with a few sniping, smart ar$e remarks about Rory's wedding, and then went on to have a panel discussion about how begrudging the Irish are!!!

Ah they were talking about the HPV vaccine. That might be why George is off today.

She strikes me as someone who doesn't have a lot of confidence. She mentions her qualifications with alarming regularity. Secure people don't feel the need to do this.

Most docs are accused of having confidence to the point of insufferable arrogance, I think theres a fine line between lacking confidence and possessing humility.

Did she mention her high IQ too? She does sometimes.

She grates on me so bad. She's not nearly knowledgeable enough on most discussions.

Me too. There are dozens of us it seems.

If that's the case that makes her the perfect fill in for George. All she needs now is a massive ego and the ability to turn every topic back to her :D

Ian O'Doherty was spot on - those visual artists in receipt of artist's dole are usually those who produce nothing of any value or who aren't well enough connected to have their work in IMMA.

I'm not a fan of Aos Dana but getting Ian O'Doherty on to adjudicate the value of art... really? What's his credentials? Apart from sticking it to the elites (yawn) and being available at the drop of a hat whenever Newstalk/Today FM/RTE need a rent-a-pr*** to gob off about something of which they have only the most superficial understanding.

I agree about O Doherty... loves playing that guy who has the low down on everything.... speaks for the common man... a classic boor.. whose taste, judging by his appearance, extends about as far as a half dozen battered dausages

Ciara Kelly to George - 'Did you not like Darth Vader? I thought you would have liked Darth Vader with your heavy breathing and evil deeds'. God I love Ciara.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,191 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Also 'I would have thought you and Jabba the Hut would have had a lot in common. Give an ol' schlurp into the microphone there'.

In fairness, her excuse that the Dail prayer might cause offence to Muslims is a bit pathetic.

Yea it was stupid of her. George never mentioned the prayer last week. He kept accusing her of being against a moment of silence rather than the prayer. I dont think anyone was against the moment of silence
