Have to say I'm impressed at the speed they are patching the game.
3 patches out in about a week and they have addressed 4 issues I personally encountered with the game.

People where saving the game whilst hiding? Wouldnt have been a nice anti save scum feature if they left it in.

Because people having fun in the wrong sort of way should be punished.

People save scumming should be punished.

I, too, can't stand people having fun in a way that is different to how I have fun.

    Save scumming?

Exploiting the save system by saving before trying anything, so you can just reload if it goes wrong.

this one was a hilarious disaster of a bug
    • Fixed issue with loading a saved game while in cover and pressing [SPACE], causing Jensen to vault over cover.

That's not exploiting anything. Just playing a gamd the way you want to. I hate checkpoint only saves.

There's a big difference between constantly reloading something that has a 5% chance of going in your favour until you get it, and reloading because you tripped an alarm in Deus Ex and are trying to do a stealth run.

Eitherway it's a single player game so not really anyone else's business.

I prefer checkpoints as it forces me to play the game and not walk 5 feet /save/walk 5 feet save.

At least by playing the game I can fail or pass the mission by actually doing it or not.

MGS Phantom Pain did this very well by not having save scumming and it worked rather well.

We have just released another PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v1.3 build 524.17_P4. This patch focusses on critical issues that were reported by users during the week after release.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.

The following fixes are in this patch:
Fixed another crash in the Prague 3 subway that was still encountered by users.
Fix for the crash in the TF29 elevator.
Fixed crash that could occur when loading saves in Golem.
Fixed issue where multi-monitor UI was missing.
Unmark action is now configurable through the key mapping menu.
While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on older versions, we have made a Beta available on Steam, v1.0_build524.6, v1.0_build524.7, v1.1_build524.10 and v1.2_build524.15 that can be used to switch back to previous versions.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

    Another patch.

    Finished it last night
wow that was an abrupt ending. Again pacing is way off the final fight is way way too easy. I just dropped an emp grenade on him and then sprinted across the room for the takedown while he was stunned. Bit ridiculous tbh and the fact that there is no real choice at the end. I saved the rich dudes first and still got there in time before the bombs went off - is there even a real time limit on that?!

Despite that gripe, overall I liked the game. It had everything I love about Deus Ex with well designed and compact levels and interesting locations. It was fun breaking into random apartments and finding people's hidden stashes and hacking their stuff. Movement controls were fine only ever had one issue where I got stuck on an invisible wall. Some frustration with using E as the action button but also for opening up pocket secretaries or the mission brief. There were times I did a quick stealthy takedown and tried to pick up the body quickly just to land in the menu.

Didn't experience any major technical problems - no crashes just some framerate drops.

Story was ok not brilliant and I wish they'd drop the whole illuminati thing. Global conspiracies are fine but dropping in the illuminati on the other hand is just jaded at this stage. It does feel unfinished though and it should be probably give you a better indication of where you are in the story and that you are approaching the end so it isn't such a surprise.
I really feel there should have been another Prague level after London

But glad I picked it up and finished it. Might go back to a NG+ playthrough later.

This is my strongest sentiment coming away from it. Feels like the game was just chopped off early.

I did this about ten times in a row at the
    cocktail party
    . Was enraging.

Well then you can see why some people might not like it.

You could simply not do that.

Patch 1.4 545.4_P5 has been released. More importantly, so has DX12.
We have just released another PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v1.4 build 545.4_P5. This patch focusses on critical issues that were reported by users during the last weeks after release.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.

The following fixes are in this patch:
    - Fixed a freeze that happened for some players during the subway loading scene.
    - Fix for issue where massive stalls would occur in Prague.
    - Fixed issue where players could no longer save when they ran out of Steam Cloud space. (When the player runs out of space, the oldest saves will now be removed from the Steam Cloud. They will NOT be deleted and are still available from disk. They will remain present in your in-game ‘load game’ list.
    - Improved shadow behaviour in the distance when Contact Hardening Shadows is turned on.
    - Fixed issue where tutorial messages could stay/re-appear on-screen after completing the tutorial.
    - Fixed an issue where players could lose input control when hacking certain computers.
    - Fixed various UI issues.

Release of DirectX 12 support in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided:
As of today, users are also able to utilize the awaited DirectX 12 Graphics API. To activate this you are required to do the following:
Within your Steam Library, right-click on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Select ‘properties’ from the context menu and navigate to the Beta tab.
From the dropdown menu, select dx12_preview then close the window.

After the game has downloaded the DirectX 12 supported build you can then toggle DirectX 12 from either the launcher window or from the Display options within the game.
Note that DirectX 12 requires a restart of the game if (de-)activated from within a running Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game session.

o WARNING: Using the DirectX 12 API can offer better performance on some systems, however, it will not be beneficial on all.
o Multi-GPU is not yet supported in this patch.
o If you encounter problems with DirectX 12, we recommend turning it off again. There are no visual or gameplay differences between the two DirectX versions.
o As always, make sure that your drivers are up to date.

    Known DirectX 12 issue:
    - There is a known bug that causes some very high end cards to regress relative to DirectX 11. This bug is being addressed by the development team.

I have a 390X and before the DX12 patch I was getting just over 30fps with everything on Ultra and AA set to 0. With the same options I am now getting an average of 46fps. I will still have to turn an option or two off to get that silky 60 fps sweet spot, but it is an improvement.

I've got a weird graphical glitch which I only started to notice after one of the post-launch patches (don't know which). I've got a GTX 1080 and run most things onhigh - ultra at 1080p at 60fps. Often, more commonly in interior sections, when I move my view, like looking around a room, the objects in the room will turn crazy bright and reflective, like taking direct sunlight. If I move the view back again it switches back to darkened. The changes are sudden and jarring and not any sort of gradual fading in, and there's no light source which would be causing this. Its getting quite distracting. Any ideas?
