Pathetic fake attempt at a Piers Morgan style tiff. Demeans the listeners and Newstalk.

Has us all talking about it and listening waiting for the "reveal" though all the same :)

Christ almighty, is this meant to be edgy now with Ciara signing off saying 'see you next tuesday'?

heard that as well, not entirely sure of the point of it ?

And Pat is going to talk about Bray being put under the Dublin County boundary.

I would have thought that when Ciara was reading out texts about it before signing off, that's when an 'April Fools' reveal would have happened if it was a joke.

I thought that escalated quickly myself.

No sign of Shane and she called him "Pathetic" and "Diabolical"!

No I think she was being serious. I think it's a fair an accurate representation anyway.

I think the problem with this prank is that everyone appears to wish it were true 8)

I missed most of it as I mentioned above. What exactly was said?

I thought it very nasty of Ciara to refer to him as pathetic tbh.

She's desperate for all nudge nudge stuff, shrieking about sausage etc etc and how she eats nothing hard in bed.

Kelly always goes on these soapbox rants then. It's like she's desperate for it to go viral and be shared everywhere and how she'll be seen as the voice of reason in the face of majority insanity.

Yes, she aspires to be an InstaHun I think.

Did a poll on "the gram" last week she informed folk yesterday morning.

She was ribbing him about being grinchy about Easter, Valentine's, Christmas etc.
"I had to beat you into a Christmas jumper" she said to him. I think when she asked him did his kids suffer he stormed off.
I don't know if this will be cut from the "listen back" or not!

I mentioned that she ' informed folk yesterday morning' .... I don't follow folk of her cohort on instagram TBH.

Oh so you just making judgements on someone without actually knowing anything. Got it. Well have fun imagining Ciara Kelly on Instagram.

Ah come on it's April Fools. It was obvious. And clearly staged.

No, she announced on Newstalk that she'd done a poll on Instagram, I'm imagining nothing.

What exactly is your point? Or are you not making a point?

I think I leave it your imagination. It works well.

    They're keeping us guessing!
I hate so many of the ads on Newstalk that I shout "Alexa, mute" several times a day, so I might miss the "gotcha"!

Regardless of if it's an April fools thing referring to a colleague as pathetic is crossing a line IMO. Totally uncalled for.

A male colleague, no less. Shocking stuff.

I don't think the colleague being male or female is relevant tbh.

Am I missing something? What's wrong with calling someone pathetic as part of a staged joke?

The video clip of Shane storming out is up on facebook. I think he has a little smirk on his face in the build up so it must be a joke.

I don't think NT would be publicising it either if it was real.

That's their official account? Definitely a prank so - even with the caption wording:

"Shane storms out of studio, has Ciara gone too far?"
