As usual MMA seems to divide opinions more than any other sport.

Personally I love McGregor. I admire his passion, ambition, and he seems like a top bloke.

love both fighters but my heart needs conor to win this fight. don't get the outrage at diaz because he threw a few bottles, lads, its a bit if craic, relax the tittays.

I see no harm in him (although i wouldnt fight him ) He is good at what he does and he is a superb athlete in what is a dangerous sport.

I think it's that people take him too serious and don't realise that he's more often than not just on a wind up. Either way there is rarely ever any venom in what he says. Even on Boards he once said some stuff about how one fighter belonged in the kiddy division and when called on it he said he was just joking around. Tbh I used to dislike him a lot myself but that was my issue really as I had thought he was dead serious.

A good example of how he doesn't believe half the stuff he says is in the following Embedded clip (5 minutes in..) where he is having breakfast in the build up to the Poirier fight and starts into his usual spiel about 'rituals and superstitions being an other word for fear' (he's done this a few times now). You can see he is close to laughing this time though and the camera briefly cuts to John Kavanagh and we can see is in bits laughing. McGregor then has no choice but to quit his waffling and then make a joke so he can laugh himself.

The reason I think they were laughing is that Conor won't travel to any fight without having having his grandfather's hat in his bag :P

Plus there's stuff like this which make him a legend in my eyes, even if he never won another fight.
