Well one finished at 1113 last season but was at a wedding yesterday so didn't get a chance to change his team.

Not everybody is glued to their FPL team a week in advance of the deadline. I was but there are people who aren't.

    It's FPL's fault, no one else's.

No it's not FPLs fault if people can't be arsed to get their team sorted.

FPL have been pandering to the casuals for a while now tbf, extra wildcard, chips etc. Wouldn't surprise me if they did add a free WC.

    Obviously hoping not.

This. So many of the recent changes have been to appease the casuals and they are the ones who are more likely to have been caught out by this.

Am I the only one who sees hull not doing too badly against Leicester? They'll shut up shop and it's the first week, enthusiasm will still be alive and well. Plus, I know they're champions but it's only Leicester. Bookies odds suggest what I'm saying as well, Leicester nearly evens for the win. Favourites obviously but not by a landslide.

I am banking heavily on a Leicester hammering. If they score early, Hull could capitulate.

    Fúcking Musa.

I can sense him stealing a lot of Vardy's points.

And putting him in instead of Vardy would have meant fantastic flexibility for the rest of the team

It's not the players fault FPL can't put a decent site together. At least they didn't have the audacity to charge for the app this season.

    Amateurs.

Meh I don't see it, I can see them laying down sometimes when things are going badly this year because they'll definitely get relegated as the club is a mess but I don't see it today.

Having said that I have no Leicester cover so maybe I'm just trying to make myself believe my own bs

Unprecedented my hole. Happens every year.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

This is rubbish to be fair. If you're paying for a service you've every reason to get annoyed if you don't have service. When you're getting something for free that has been available for about a month and you're pulling a hissy fit that it wasn't available for a half hour spell because of extraordinary volume, then really that's on the person pulling the hissy fit.

It's not as if the server goes down all the time. It's a free to play game server that operates 99% of the time but sometimes struggles when volumes are insane. Common knowledge.

Brand new this month. Just happened to stumble on it when I did a search for #fpl to see how crazy the moaning had got!

Usually just when they make major changes to the site I think.

It also happened when they were charging for the app.

They've apologised now so all is well in the world again.

There is no doubt that the issues today shouldn't have happened. FPL are of course at fault for that.

But... people have had a month to get their teams in and tinker with them. I have absolutely no pity for them. It's their fault if they didn't have a team in before today.

I will be fairly annoyed if my transfer this morning of Fischer to Ramirez doesn't go through

Half an hour downtime isn't much even for something that you're paying for. Technical faults happen. Last time was different was because it went down for extended periods of time. This one really just affected last minute transfers, slightly annoying, but it was likely to happen.

Many going without any Tottenham coverage? I'm sure Kane or Alli will end up in my team at some stage, but starting to get the fear going without any for a few weeks!

No Tottenham players yet. That won't be the case for too long.

Have Kane. Did have Alli too but (hopefully!) changed him to Mahrez this morning.

    I have Kane and Alli.

Delighted how few people have them on here.

I'm sure they don't want your pity, they want to be able to set their FPL team anytime before the deadline. But they weren't able to because of a balls up not of their own doing.

Anyway, I'm saying no more on this. Didn't affect me personally but I feel people are apportioning the blame to the wrong people here. Not all players are a fanatical about the game as us, it'd be a pretty crap game if the casuals weren't in it.

I think they're essential for the first few weeks.

So a ball hasn't been kicked yet and already I'm annoyed that I didn't gamble on Musa even though Hernandez plays, going to look a lot more on the bright side this year. Here's hoping Vardy goes mad.
    I think my team is
    Heaton(Foster)
    Souare, Valencia,Hernandez,(Friend,Kingsley)
    Ramsey,Hazard, Mahrez,Redmond(Routledge)
    Kun(c), Vardy, Gray.
Good luck to all and thanks for all the pre-season advice.

No issue with the site going down this morning for me but if my captain has changed then that's a different ball game to be fair.

Well done those who risked Musa.

    See yis later.

Just reading bout captaincy changes. If peopld had their team selected in good time, could the crash really cause this to happen?

You'll still be able to join but you won't score for Gw1
