Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Called up to the local lidl to get a box of Franziskaner. Left with a kids desk, sun blinds for the car, watch batteries, a cooler bag, and no bloody Franziskaner. You got me, lidl. You got me.
    Now, will I go up again tomorrow to see if it's back in stock? ...

    The reason most drinks are served chilled is because they taste crap - and you can't taste cold drinks.


    All beers developed before the advent of refrigeration were supposed to taste good at room temp - not chilled to 1 or 2 degrees..


    And I eats me steaks rare :D

    Room temperature before refrigeration was considered to be about 12 degrees.

    I would agree, many decent beers taste better when less cold than fridge temp.

    There is a new perlenbacher wheat beer in a glass bottle for €1.50 a bottle. Its pretty good tbh

    Back again, the missus picked me up 8 bottles this evening, and it's showing as "4 for €6" on the receipt. If anyone is in a Lidl soon and could check the date or expiry, that would be great :)

    The Patronus 5.5% Weissbier that is always on sale @ 1.49 a bottle in Lidl is better imo.

    just prefer the taste now tbh - have tired of the banana taste of the Franziskaner - it's always available to buy a couple at a good price whenever you want so no need to rush to buy out the whole store (like some here feel the need to do!) and it also has a little bit of an extra .5% kick over the Franziskaner
