Capoue looks a good choice and could be playing further forward in Mazzarri's system. Also Kirchhoff will start for Sunderland and is low owned so unlikely to drop in price for the first 4 or 5 gameweeks at least I'd say. If Leko was guaranteed to start I'd go for him but he's not unfortunately. Darren Fletcher is very highly owned so is likely to drop in price in the first few gameweeks barring him scoring or assisting which is unlikely.

Don't get the big fear of Fletcher dropping. He'll play 90 and get 2 to 3 points which is what people have him for.

In the first 2 to 3 weeks it will be nobody's priority for a FT to change their 5th mid.

GK - if going premium your othe GK should be budget playing (I.e Jaku)

Def - Solid. Brad Smith risk, but if wait & see. Go with Amat for now

Mid - Ayew question marks where he wil play & even if he will. The others are solid FPL players

Fwd - Benteke is a gamble (leaving you with 3 attackers in 1 game)

Yeah may change Mandanda, after paying 20m for him, I'm pretty sure Ayew will play, can change Benteke but if he goes to Palace, I'm fairly confident he'll score goals there, which will no doubt include a hat trick against Liverpool to :(

I'm getting further away from my team I think:

4-3-3

DDG, (Jaku)
Coleman, Valencia, Stones, Evans, (Amat)
Sanchez, Pedro, Firmino, (Fer), (Fletcher)
Aguero, Vardy, Gray

My bench is quite weak but at least I've 2-3 that should start.

Pedro most likely to go to a safer 7.5m mid.

Switch Fer to Routledge, been promising in pre-season and the best of the 5m mids by a distance.

Looking for a bit of advice on my team please.

Rip apart as appropriate.

De Gea/(Jakupovic)

Bellerin/Fuchs/Coleman/Stones(Parades)

Mahrez/Payet/Dier/Cabaye(Flecther)

Aguero/Zlatan/(Grabban)

Cheers in advance

I think either Pogba or Ayew (possibly both) won't start this week. Better options than Pogba at that price, or cheaper, too.

I think the rest is fine (I would go Vardy or Kane over Ibrahimovic personally, but I'm in the minority of one on that one around here!)

Cheers! I actually had Vardy and Mickytarian as i've chosen to call him in place earlier. Maybe i'll switch back! Have a feeling a top form Ibra will turn up for the first few games though then possibly die off with the pace after a while

I just put Pedro in to get you to bite :)

While I love the idea of Sanchez as a differential, I'm finding it very hard to get him, Kun and Ibra in. Have you managed to fit in all three?
Ha ha I'm predictable if nothing else.
I haven't got Ibra yet . Aguero and Sanchez will not be making way if I do try and fit him in.

Here's where I'm at, could do with some feedback...

Heaton (jakupovic)
Shaw Williams Evans (Friend Parades)
Alli Firmino Ayew Tadic (Capoue)
Aguero Ibra Gray

.5m itb

Still have a lot of players in mind, so may be wholesale changes yet by Saturday morning.

Feel's strange not having Mahrez or Vardy starting, especially given the first few fixtures and Mahrez practically a mainstay in my team last season. But they have a Kante size hole in midfield and while he's not a good fpl player, he was vital last season on starting Leicester counter attacks, have a feeling both Mahrez and Vardy could suffer a bit this year without him.

Would definitely have Kone in at 4.5m if his transfer had gone through, but at the moment will probably pick one from Evans or Souare.

Midfield, still giving thought to Hazard, possibly because he seems to be in so many teams on here, but will probably wait a couple of weeks, aiming to wildcard gw3 or 4 so could bring him in then if he starts well.
Ayew seems to be my main gamble, think he'll do well this season but tough opening fixtures and only after moving this week, it's possible he may not start this weekend, so still not 100% decided.

Up front the main decision is about Ibra. At the moment thinking I'd prefer start with him, just in case he gets off to a flier, but Kane, Vardy are possible options.

Any advice?

Last year the highest owned 4.5 mid, Wanyama, dropped before GW5 so yeah Fletch will probably drop around then I'd say.

Why are you spending so much on defence? Also Dier is a bad pick as he's a midfielder this season and only gets 1 point for a clean sheet as opposed to 4.

Wanyama lost his place for a game or 2 around GW4.

Fletcher won't drop.

Marney 4.5 will start for Burnley unless they sign a cm.

That's just wonderful to hear, Marney was an ever present 2 point maestro in my team a few years ago, don't think he ever got a run out though :pac:

Valencia
Morgan
Stones

Hazard
Mahrez

Feghouli

He is good to go starting off but a fair chance he will lose his place if they sign a midfielder. They have been linked with Jeff Hendrick.

Faces competition from Romeu though.

And did I see he made the most tackles in the Bundesliga last season? If so he might be a bit of card magnet?

He picks up his fair share of cards alright. Booked 21 times and sent off once in 115 career games according to Transfermarkt.

I've been playing around with my team for the last few days and think this might close to my final choice, could anyone give me some feedback if i need to make a few last minute changes?

De Gea (Jakupovic)

Walker Morgan Targett (Evans) (Paredes)

Arnautovic Eriksen Willian Firmino (Kouyate)

Aguero Long Vardy

I have almost the exact same team. Ayew instead of Townsend. I like playing 3 at the back so I usually have my 5th defender as a 4.0 to free up the cash to go elsewhere.

If I knew of a guaranteed 4.0 starter I would certainly have them in there. It's way too risky having a player who is not looking like he will ever start. It bites you in the bum in the long run.

Your defence is too expensive. Well worth having a read through the thread.
All seven have cost 32M for some managers. 3-4-3 formation.

I hate to be that guy and it's not aimed at anyone in particular, but can people please provide some insight into their team when asking for feedback?

I know it can take a bit of time and the likes of Aguero and Ibrahimovic etc don't need paragraphs written on them, but it will end up helping you in the long run as if you can say "I'm going with player X for reason Y" or "this is my strategy", then it's much easier to offer comment than on just 15 players listed on a page with no idea offered into why they were selected.

I'm more than happy to return the favour and provide feedback on teams (as others have very kindly done for me), but it's very hard to provide any relevant analysis when there's no reasoning behind selections IMO.

Latest draft before I go to sleep:

Valdes, Foster...spending the extra 0.5m to have 2 keepers with decent fixtures in opening weeks as opposed to 4.0m options.

Stones, Shaw, Baines (Evans, Amat)....went off the idea of Terry and Chelsea defensively. Conte may be a defensive manager, but so was Mourinho and they were a shambles. Not much has changed personnel wise, except maybe Kante. Baines in a rejuvenated Everton side gets the nod. Evans there for the moment. Might have to reassess if he gets a move to Arsenal (game time concerns).

Oscar, Sigurdsson, Redmond, Mahrez (Watmore)...Saving cash going Oscar over Hazard. When he is on form, he is always good for goals/assists and I believe is on penos. Siggy, first 2 games irresistible. Mahrez - want Leicester attacking coverage. Redmond could be very good value and Soton have a nice start.

Aguero, Ibra, Gray. Standard.

I think my big call at the moment is my Chelsea/Leicster attacking options. I'm pretty much between:

A) Hazard & Albrighton/Demarai Gray

or

B) Oscar and Mahrez.

Thoughts?

That's a fair point. Personally I always look to spend as little as possible on GKs as I don't see value in expensive ones, I went with manadanda over foster as I already have a WB defender.
Defence I like to have 1 or 2 good value players for big teams with a decent attacking threat (hence Shaw and Walker). From the others I will generally only pick 1 but would like guaranteed 4.5m defenders ideally with a bit of an attacking threat.

Midfield I was considering Mikhytarian (sp?) as my big hitter but it looks like he is not guaranteed to start so I chose to include Ibra up front instead and have Hazard as a big hitter coupled with some value mid ranged midfielders at good value prices with decent early fixtures. Fletcher is my sub for the year as he always plays.

Up front I went with Gray to partner the big 2 (Aguero and Ibra) but would be willing to look elsewhere if there was a good argument for a <7m striker.
I'll generally play 3-4-3. I am looking at having 15 guaranteed starters but will be happy to do an early wildcard if the team is not performing.

I'd have another look at that defence. I do not believe Leicester will be as good defensively without Kante and you can get Stones or Williams for the price of Morgan. Man Utd options seem preferrable than Spurs (Walker) now that Mourinho is at the helm. Targett unlikely to start, same with Paredes.

Also, I think there are many better midfield options than Arnautovic at that price.

After many hours of tinkering heres where i'm at..

Would imaging i'd be going 343 most weeks
but for gw1 433 looks the better option.

Was thinking about mane in for silva but fixtures not
Great to start with and City look to have a handy enough start..

Any thoughts?

Edit- wow thats small..
