    How costly? I like the thought of the beemer. All the forums Iv read up on say the BMW is brilliant to drive. I see allot of them for sale have had the swirly flaps thing done.....

    I was in your shoes 6 months ago and I picked up a very tidy mondeo st 2.2. Tax is a bit dear but nice car. You might pick up an 06 Alfa 159 1.9 jdtm or a Volvo s40 2.0d also.

    Seen an alpha for sale and loved the look of it..... but they have a bad name? Are they not a notorious money pit?
