The Stalker games are very love them or hate them but they're definitely worth giving a shot.

As far as I can tell Bethesda RPGs are underdeveloped, sterile garbage.
Not being bad here but,you really aren't a PC gamer are you?;)

    ---
To explain ,the PC versions of their RPGs are really just the starter versions , you add a selection of mods to them to make them do whatrever you like.
(I know the current gen console versions can take mods now but the mount of PC ones is staggering)

Mods are add-ons that refresh older games or bring innovation in unpredicatable directions.

They're not supposed to be there to do the developer's job for them because they're a shower of useless greedy twats.

A few that don't seem to be getting any love:

    Hi-Octane
    SimCity 3000
The Battlefield's, up to and including 2142, though official servers are no more.
Company of Heroes - Bitzkrieg Mod (Don't bother with vanilla)
ArmA series - Alas, DayZ has had it's day, but maybe try Wastelands mod on ArmA 3 with some friends.
    F.E.A.R
    Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
If you liked CoD 4 or earlier, try Insurgency
And of course, Crysis - If you can run it... :D

Undertale is a recent addition. Its utterly fantastic and it's terrible graphics would put off any non "true" gamer.
