This weekend, Sunday June 26th, sees the start of the Sporting Rifle League to be held at the Midlands National Shooting Cnetre of Ireland.

This will work in the same format as the F-Class league and will be shot over distance ranging from 300 to 600 yards.

Anyone that has paid their league fees may compete as part of those fees and anyone wishing to shoot can download an entry form then return it to the NRAI. You may enter whenever you like, but the more shoots you compete in the better your chances of obtaining a higher aggregate score.

Be sure to check out the NRAI website or MNSCI FB page for more info and contact details.

    Update from the NRAI:

Some clarification, for the purposes of this competition.

A sporting rifle is defined as a bolt action, magazine fed rifle. Caliber is limited to the same as F-Class, maximum of 8mm. Hope that clears up any ambiguity!

Any one wishing to take part please text name for squading purposes to JP Craven 086/8232641 by no later than 6pm Friday June 24th. This is an NRAI competition so to enter you must be a member.

    Entry forms available at www.nrai.ie.

    Course of fire will be:
    1. 2+10 @ 300 yds
    2. 2+10 @ 600 yds

    On line zeroed 10:30am sharp!!

    Further update:
The Sporting Rifle League will run over 6 matches with your 4 best scores counted. This means if you are unable to attend 1 or 2 league matches you will still be in with a chance of winning the league. If further information is required see the NRAI website or contact nraisec@gmail.com

On a personal note i only advertise the shoots. I've no input on the organising or running of them. I've removed 5 or 6 irrelevant posts as they serve no purpose other than to confuse and cause unrest (and responses to them).

As with the update above if you have a query check the webtsite or FB page. If all that fails e-mail the NRAI or see your rep on the range each weekend.
