    Just reading about that fire at a rave/party in an art collective in Oakland. The owner sounds like a dick who ignored previous warnings about the potential for such an outcome. He also posted a facebook post that makes him sound very cold but he could have been in shock when he posted.

    But it led me on to this video of a fire at a club in a Rhode Island club in 2003. The speed the fire takes hold is scary. The camera man has said he seen it start after the fireworks and knew he had to get out quickly.

    So Jamie Heaslip nominated for sports personality of the year. 16 nominated though so it doesn't mean a huge amount. Who'd you like to see get it?

    I'd be happy with Paul O Donovan tbh, great sportsman, really elevated his sport to the limelight in and out of the boat.

    I think it's decided by a public vote so you'd imagine McGregor would get it.

    What Frampton did was pretty good, as was what the Olympians did too, but they don't have anywhere near the same base as McG.

    I liken it to the politics cafe discussing irish water on steroids but your description is indeed apt, if not a tad understated

    Think of a munster Leinster game where e.g. Keith Earls spear tackles Sexton, Jaco is ref and you'd be there :)
