Some of us like to swing both ways. I've a marked preference for rugby myself, but I've been known to watch soccer as well.

Given you won't find the soccer fixtures on the World Rugby site, or the rugby fixtures on the Euro 2016 site, I thought I'd create this thread for Saturday, where like-minded posters, open to switching between sports, can have all the listings in 1 place.

    So here goes:

    08.35 NZ vs Wales (rugby)
    11.00 Aus vs Eng (rugby)
    14.00 Swi vs Pol (euros)
    16.00 SA vs Ire (rugby)
    17.00 Wal vs NI (euros)
    19.00 Ire U20s vs Eng U20s (rugby)
    19.10 Arg vs Fra (rugby)
    20.00 Cro vs Port (euros)

If SARU and the IRFU had any decency they'd move the kickoff forward an hour.

Yeah, I'll always take a bit of sporting action wherever I can get it.

Japan vs Scotland at 11.15 (BBC2 Scotland)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Not sure about that decision, I thought the knee was down just before the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,773 ✭✭✭connemara man

Need something recording at 120fps to see that!
Before the days of TMO that would have been a try so I have no problem with it. I. Thought the ball hit the ground fractionally sooner than his knee though

Lovely play by Dagg. Seen tries like that given in Super Rugby but it didn't look like he had control.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

    That was pure brilliance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

    England started very well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Dreadful defence by Nowell to let Australia back into it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

    Very good response by Australia.

    Don't forget Donegal v Monaghan at 19.00 in a hybrid rugby/soccer game

  • Administrators Posts: 54,423 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Australia shouldn't have kicked that away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

    Toomua-Folau, great combination

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Both teams are dreadful in defence

  • Administrators Posts: 54,423 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Nick Phipps is possibly the worst test scrumhalf in the world. He is absolutely abysmal.

    WTF was he at there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

How is Phipps still on the pitch.

Phipps again. If he starts against NZ, Cheika deserves to be sacked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

Hooper should be allowed kick Phipps up the hole

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Hooper had the Turnover only for Nigel to let England hang on as long as they liked.

Then Nick Phipps did what he does best.

    Worse then Bergamasco.

    Fantastic tour for England.

What channel is Argentina vs France on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Pleasantly surprised that the 3rd place playoff U20s match between Arg and S Afr is being televised on TG4, rescuing me from having to watch that other sport with the spherical ball, phew!

Out working in the back garden and I hear shouts from about 5 houses around me. Check the tv - Polish goal. Sometimes feels like I'm living in Gdansk!

Pity we have Shakira. Or is it Shaqiri?

In any case the ol' bicycle kick was a gem.

Dominant display from a depleted French side away to a first team Argentina, France win 27-0.

Were Argentina not without Juan Imoff as he was playing for Racing Club in Top 14 final?
