I think, and don't hold me to anything, that a suppressor would be okay, but not a break. Its not about any advantage just consideration for the man to your side.

There was an excellent turnout despite the conditions yesterday. A huge thank you goes out to all those that entered and a special thanks to those that could not enter, but still wanted to donate to a very worthwhile cause.

There will be further shoots, all for the same cause, in the coming months so please keep an eye on the forum/Facebook page. They include clay shoots, pistol shoots, rimfire shoots, deer/stalking shoots among others.

Taken form the MNSCI Facebook page:
Despite the pouring rain, we had 33 entries for our charity shoot. Fair play to the Sporting rifle guys who shot through the rain at 600 yards, producing some great scores. And as always with rain, we are certain to get plenty of wind! The F-Open and F-TR were shot from a more comfortable position – the 1000 yard benchrest shed. It’s times like this the benchrest shed proved to be worth every penny it took to build it. The sporting rifle shot a 2 and 10 twice at 600 yards, and the F-Open and F-TR shot a 2 and 20 at 1000 yards.

The Sporting rifle was won by Ray Mahon who also won the last competition, the marksmen challenge. Ray managed to win by one point over David Greene and Michael Bergin.

Hats off to P. Flaherty who won the F-Open. This was his first 1000 yard F-class competition to shoot in. Well done! He was followed closely by K. McKenna who took second place. Third place went to F. McFadden.

In F-TR, first place went to Tommy Dunne. Second place went to J. Miller who was only 1 point behind first, and third place was P. Daly.

As usual, the match was flawlessly run and supervised by Tony Saunders who is the organiser for this charity event. Tony’s aim is to build much needed funding for Suicide Unites Everyone. There will be four more shooting competitions coming soon in clay pigeon 50 bird sporter, target deer competition, 22 lr competition and a pistol competition.

On behalf of all the staff of the MNSCI, we would like to thank all of you who turned up to take part in this event.

Once again a huge thank you to everyone that helped support this cause.
