A demo could really sell this to a lot of people who are on the fence (especially those of a certain vintage).

I always found the jak and dater games a bit underwhelming. Except the second one which is just ****e.

This game has left a real sour taste in the mouth. Mixed reviews coupled with how us Nintendo fans were shafted. Kind of wish I got a refund instead of transferring my backing to the Switch version.

Jim Sterling gave it a 2/10. Ouch.

As much as I like his vids, I find Jim's taste in games to be all over the shop so hard to take him as a reviewer. Saying that, the messed up speech in this game just from the reviews I'v watched, wrecked my head.

Wish I seen this thread yesterday before I spent €40 on it.

I am playing on PC and it is mad stuttery. I have played around with it's limited settings and no joy.

I was really excited when I was downloading it as I love games like this and watching the videos on the steam page made me want to play it even more. Ty the Tazmanian Tiger was excellent on steam but I played it before years ago on console so wasn't really new but I collected all collectables and then seeing Yooka-Laylee I was like how did I never see this game before and just hit buy without any research.

Well I sorted out my bad gaming experience with this game. Turns out I had to turn off Freesync. And I would recommend this game to anyone. Quite difficult tbh. You might look at it and think kid's game but it is quite challenging.

Great improvements after I have finished the game.

I really enjoyed the game but I cannot see myself starting a new game just to try out improvements.

There is. It is actually a really fun game, but you have to go back to older levels to collect all collectables. Don't be like me and spend ages in first level trying to get all and wondering why I cannot collect the pagie that is flying in the wind.

Playtonic are now doing Switch specific testing as well as console testing and will have a release date shortly after it's concluded.

Yes, the game isn't out on Switch yet. But I got an e-mail earlier as a backer for this.

    It looks lovely.

I had to use my camera and Twitter account to capture an image as they won't let us embed a photo.

That looks good. Just to add that was such a fun game and makes a change from the usual FPS or e-sports games.

It's an absolute disgrace that the Switch version isn't out yet.
But they are just dragging their heels, with bugger all information on it.
And all the money invested by Nintendo fans in this title in the first place.

They needed to release this game months ago for the switch. There was a gap in the market for them with no 3d adventure since Zelda. But with Mario around the corner, they may as well wait until March at this stage.

Yooka Laylee is in the two games for €30 on the playstation store at the minute. So essentially for €15 I couldn't say no.

Played an hour or so of it so far and my 4 year old loves watching me play. She can't really handle the controls but is happy to watch as it looks like a really colourful cartoon.

I can already see it's a serious love letter to the banjo games. I'm not sure how a kid these days would take to it but as someone who adored his N64 this game sits well with me.
