What Are Your Weekend Plans?

I remember long weekends used to instil an irrational pressure in me to do things. Go to the pub, go for dinner, go away. Anything that began with the word "go" and involved having to be social. Now that I'm an old woman of 34 who spends much of her times shuffling from one room to next amid bouts of forgetfulness I have become content to do whatever I please.

Tonight I am resplendent in bright pink jammies that are covered in stars. Bed is my domain and I have a bottle of Blue Moon and crime stories for company. Also a tray of blackberries because I'm interesting like that.

Come lay your head on my bosoms and share your weekend plans with me.

Gathering a bad mind to nip out to the local sheebeen, I imagine there will be a couple of sheep (sha) farmers, the mechanic, horse breeder, the undertaker and Jony the dog will be there. Or I could stay in.....

    dunno yet.....

    I like your offer though.....:p

I had a half day Wed and was off Thurs & Fri, went to Punchestown races for 2 days and did some shopping in Kildare Village.

Weekend was going to be nothingness but I'm collecting money for a charity that I like tomorrow, was at the gym today, cooked a nice omelette just there..... Monday is free currently :)

Resplendent in my Harry potter pjs with reruns of would I lie to you on the iPad and a bottle of Santa Rita 120 sauvignon Blanc and the neighbours dog for company.

To be honest I'm struggling to think of how the mad days of Rachmaninoff vodka and sweaty nightclubs were more fun!

I've got a shovel a wheelbarrow and 20 tonnes of top soil that won't move itself.

Actually delighted to finally get to do the garden. We've been trying to buy this house for 2 years, renting it for the past year and the sale has finally closed (almost)

Or I might just stream a movie and relax....

I can't lay my head on your wotsits, but I'm semi jarred. Home alone all weekend as the OH and munchkin have gone exploring. Second night in and I'm loving it! Just about to mill the last beer and then sit down to a nice sirloin steak and trimmings while watching An American Werewolf in London.

You're right, why should I give them an easy night?

Saturday night is the only night we won't have the swearing preacher, he needs his beauty sleep for his Sunday morning special.

    Physically move him in space/time?

Whereabouts? Or to be more accurate, from where to where?

Had many, many wonderful plans for the weekend but because of a cold sore I'm lying on my bed watching Six Feet Under and contemplating ringing for a chipper delivery. Sad (ravaged) face.

Wonderful plans are usually overrated and lead to eventual dissapointment... Chippers never do!

Organise my music collection into alphabetical order then start on the books, book a flight to Vietnam and probably spend the rest of the weekend fishing..

Going to work on my book tomorrow, and go to St Ives on Monday for May Day Festival.
Or Padstow, but to be honest Ives is easier to reach.

Also, if you go to St Ives you might meet a man with seven wives. You'd hardly get the likes of that in Padstow. :pac:

:P My mind has been made up now! Trying to get someone to tag along with me, I keep ending up in fishing villages by myself with the locals saying "that accent not local".

Turn on the snooker... Unless you're putting things in boxes, in which case you should make a game out of it. Count how many things you can put into boxes in an hour and then try to beat that record
