What Leicester are doing this year is what we had in 2014.

We both didn't do much in the domestic cups.

We both didn't have European distraction.

We could field a nearly consistent starting 11 every week.

Two strikers in form.

No long term injuries.

If anything is to be learnt from Leicester and Liverpool 13/14 is that if you want the league then focus only on the league with your strongest 11 each week.

Ignore all other competitions.

Spurs were in multiple compeitions until recently.

In fairness, neither Spurs nor Leicester nad major problms in that front. If they'd lost Vardy/Mahrez or Kane/Alli for a month or six weeks, I don;t think you'd have seen a title push.

Knocked out of league cup in third round which is the key one really. If you get to the quarter final stage of the league cup, have Thursday night football with the EL and Sunday games then your pre-Christmas schedule is quite manic.

I think he's already thinking that way. That's why he used Mig instead of Ward against Newcastle.

He doesn't want to finish in the top 7 just in case United get 4th and win the FA Cup.

He knows Mig will lose him the EL this year. That's why he's using him.

Thought he got away with it in the League Cup final, Mig again being beaten by a shot that was technically harder not to save. All he had to do was stick out a leg but then we went and equalized. He must had had a huge sigh of relief when we lost on penos.

Then he put out an under strength team in the FA Cup and thought he was away for slates as he had the perfect excuse for getting knocked out.

He's lining everything up to be out of Europe next season with just the PL to play for.

Then Chelsea came along with their money. How could we compete? They won a lot of crap by spending a lot of money. Fine. Win sxxt that way, I accept I can't compete. Give yourself a clap on the back you plastic flag waving fans. I'll have the moral high ground.

Then City came along with their money and started doing a Chelsea. Again, fine. We can't compete. Lets hold the moral high ground.

Then we nearly did. Nearly did it. WHY OH WHY WAS BRENDAN RODGERS NOT AS EVIL AS SIMEONE AND THROW THE SECOND BALL ON THE FIELD AFTER GERRARD SLIPPED. Looking back at what Simeone did now the man is an evil genius.

And now Leicester. United floundering, Arsenal being their usual selves for the last 12 years, City and Chelsea at sea and look at us, LOOK AT US!!! The writing was on the wall the last day of the season when we got hammered by Stoke but instead of firing the manager we fire his back room staff, HIS BACK ROOM STAFF!! WHERE IN THE HISTORY OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE HAS A MANAGER GOT AWAY WITH SXXT PERFORMANCES BY ALLOWING HIS BACK ROOM STAFF TO GET FIRED!!! Then we let him spend 32 million on Christian Benteke and start the new season off the way we finished the season before!! It was like we had Bertie Ahern as manager.

Madness, absolutely madness.

So no, I'm not okay with Leicester winning the league with a team that nearly got relegated last season with a manager who got fired after being beaten by the Faroe Islands.

Leicester will fade away like Leeds United after this. They'll get knocked out of the CL early. Will struggle in the league and Europe because of their squad size. Ranieri wil get fired when their stuck around 17th. The owner will start throwing bad money after bad money trying to recreate the glory of this season and Leicester will find themselves financially screwed.

This was the chance, this was the chance more than 2014! Now City have hired Pep and will give him a sxxt load of money. United are going to hire Mourinho and give him a sxxt load of money. Chelsea have hired Conte and will give him a sxxt load of money.

We need to give Klopp and even bigger sxxt load of money.

My thoughts exactly. Really like Early, but always found him to be anti-Liverpool if anything. Perhaps it was in the pursuit of seeming without bias

You wouldn't know he was a Liverpool fan from listening to it so I suppose he's doing a good job. Dion Fanning seems to be a regular on Second Captain these last few weeks since he left the Indo. He's enough to stop me listening.

As for the article, well yeah some people got pissed off at Mig, some don't even get annoyed any more because it's to be expected of Mig. Does that mean they don't care about Sakho?

The club has suspended him, he'll probably get 6 months if found guilty.

What do Liverpool or other football fans do? Fan protests at doping in football?

Maybe most sports fans are too cynical about doping. Cynicism isn't a bad thing though, Hell, Ken and the boys on Second Captains have made a career out if it!

Will be the first to admit I am indifferent to it, much the same as I was indifferent to anything Suarez did during his time at the club. Although it's a shame he didn't score the decisive goal in the United game.

I am enjoying the stupidity of the usual suspects though in their rush to become experts on doping. Apparently they've deduced Klopp's Dortmund side are prime candidates because they beat Ronnie Madrid.

Seen plenty of articles like this last the few weeks. Don't agree with parts since we don't know all the facts about Sakho's case. A fat burner is not much of a PED either.

Yeah he can come across like that a bit but knowing him as I do he doesn't want it to seem the other way I guess but always tries to be balanced. Also as a life long Liverpool fan in his 30s he is, as many in here are, critical of a lot of things the club has done over the last 20 years and it comes across sometimes.

Did you read the whole article? He states what others in here have stated I.e. Fat burners have been used to conceal other PEDs.

I don't agree when you say 'is not much of a PED'. It either is banned or it isn't. If it is your getting punished. No excuses.

He always talks about Liverpool. more than any other team. He'll have a give out about liverpool story when the guardian don't mention them and OTB barely do.

There is a thesis for someone there using opta analysis to fish out some of the teams/individual players posting absolutely crazy numbers that make absolutely no sense in physiological terms.

Our league form in the 2nd half of the season has been fairly mediocre - 1.6ppg

I was hoping when you looked back it would paint a better picture.
We're only so close to the top 4 because the league is rubbish from top to bottom.

Still, with a few signings and a bit of luck on the fitness front maybe we won't be such a shambles next season.

We're scarcely any better on the league form front than we were at the start of the season and last season but how we're approaching games is better, our best performances are a lot better and the dropped points look like things that we can work on without too much hand wringing - eg. a better keeper and more forward options getting a few more goals here and there to close games out when we're on top.

I'm still feeling like there's a huge gap between what I should expect with this manager, these players and the amount of money being spent and what I actually expect, which is **** all given the way we tend to do things.
