The Dubs on the show tonight are all insufferable. So loud and attention seeking.

I really hope RTE give the Brunette one and Blonde a radio spot. They are just like Vogue and Joanne McNally. Hil-ar-ious!!!!!!!!!!!

I know of Garry so watched it to see him but almost turned it off because of those 2 friends. No need for how the brunette carried on at all. If there was someone like her on every week I would stop watching.

With the car couple not working out. Was she a little out of his league, and while a nice fella a little lacking in confidence?

It would be branded toxic masculinity if a lad was so crass during a date.

In fact, there was universal disdain on here of a meathead acting just like in one of the earlier seasons.

I genuinely think she isn't set right. What was with the twitching eyes?

They were painful to listen to but reckoned with they were totally a funny duo. My ears are still recovering

This scenario happens time and time again. Especially with younger couples/participants. Couple are introduced and appear to have a really enjoyable 2 hours in each others company. To me this particular couple looked like they were having a really good time. I accept it's probably edited but you would hope the editing reflects the overall vibe of the date.

When they sit down afterwards, one of them will go "great time, conversation flowed, such a nice person, blah blah blah.......but i think we could be great friends" or "there was no spark".

I am 42 so a bit older but when I met my now wife 16 years ago, the thing that blew me away was how much I enjoyed her company. That to me is the starting point for any meaningful relationship. We enjoyed the furst date, so we went for 2nd, 3rd and things just grew from there.

I think younger people are looking for this "spark" like it is something physical/literal/tangible, rather than accepting and recognising what's actually in front of them. I just don't get it.

Good to have it back. Much prefer it to the English one, normal people thankfully for the most on Ireland's version not people desperate for fame.

The couple of friends....pains in the arses the both of them tbh...the straight one especially...why was she putting on a voice like she was in the snapper?!? When she is from a posh area...rough and a bit of a mouth....her date was a good match for her...thats not a compliment. Sitting beside them at dinner would be my idea of a nightmare. The NZ teacher seemed really nice but could kinda tell the Irish girl wasn't into her romantically at least she went first.

The car fanatics were a nice young pair, wouldn't have put them as a couple, but they both seemed nice. I think she would be more after a laddy lad to speak.

The older couple, really likeable no time for the BS just up front and honest throughout. She had a tough tough life fairly heartbreaking stuff at times.

    Next week looks interesting!

The older couple were lovely, honest, shame no more romantic dates, but could be good mates, companions

I felt maybe the blonde lesbian was more after her loud knickerless mate

Some of the contestants give away too much info for a "first tv date"
