Guessing this will be on again in one form or another?

How I still pine for the halcyon summers of 2008 and 2012 when Andriy Arshavin and Alan Dzagoev gave me a reason to live

MLS fantasy football is all I'll be doing this summer too. FPL is a mentally exhausting game for sure.

Yep not a chance I'll be playing. I'd say I've spent most of the week thinking about my team and I still haven't a clue what I'm doing. Will be nice to watch the euro's and enjoy the football without worrying about the ff side of it.

Every 2 years we do the one at work where you get points for guessing who wins and a correct score. €10 each with nice pot if you're lucky enough.

Fill it in in 5 minutes and enjoy the summer is the way I roll.

No way I would do fantasy euro. No f'ing way.

    Is there a link?:D

    Definitely up for this.
Had a brilliant run in the last world cup thanks to James Rodriguez.

Like some of ye above no way I'll be doing Fantasy Euros.

Finn Harps are running something that sounds similar to Wonski's option. Posted on it on the "other leagues" thread.

There's no way in hell I'm spending the Euros awake at night going over why the player I was going to pick but didnt scored a hatrick. I've had enough of that for the past 9 months.

A Guardiola style sabbatical is needed after this season.

I'd normally be up for this but my OH told me that I'd probably have a nervous breakdown if I didn't take the summer off from ff :pac: It's been a long hard season so looking forward to sitting back and watching a few games without worrying about captaincies and bonus points!

    Silly question jimmii,
Which competition is this for? Is it the UEFA .com page?

Yeh the one linked above whatever the official one is.

    I'm in

The FPL withdrawal symptoms were starting to kick in and in a moment of weakness I clicked on the link and registered a team.

Interestingly, the UEFA Fantasy site is not blocked here at work so at least I'll get to spend more time with my family.....although my work performance may sink even lower.

I picked the autofill option and I now have Mark Noble and Danny Wellbeck in my team with big Bastian Schweiny as captain. Might have a quick look at some other options when I get this report finished....

Anyone else having issues making transfers? I make some transfers but it just reverts back to my old team.

Ronaldo Muller Griezmann frontline is so tempting but so expensive

I'd probably be up for a pay league too. Saying that I'm in a fantasy draft league for €50 and a predictions league for €15 plus also will run a league with my mates for a tenner or twenty a head. And I'm sure my 15 on Ronaldo top scorer won't be my only bet placed over the next few weeks so if the price is right I'm in :o:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,810 ✭✭✭✭jimmii

So how many would be interested in a €20 a pop league?

Anyone interested in doing a draft league
(if there are a few people interested I'll set up a separate thread)

The site I played for a draft premier league this season is running one for the euros.

I can organise it, on one condition I can rig the draft and end up with my main man Cedric? :D

There was 10 of us that did it for the premier league, and it left it very tough to play with big players stuck on dead teams for the season, with no way to release players or kick dead teams out of the league.

So I'd say 6 to 8 teams would be ideal but 10 may be workable if teams remained live for the tournament.

Sure let us know if there's any interest in it.

So looks like we're doing a pay league! I'll put something together tomorrow and PM those who are interested anyone else interested send me a message.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,810 ✭✭✭✭jimmii

Wow so we have 21 in the main league now thats jumped up massively in the lasts few days or so!

11101QGL thats the code for the regular league to save anyone joining now the hassle of having to scroll through to find it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,844 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Anyone know if there's an app for the Euro Fantasy comp?

No biggie either way I guess but found the FPL app much handier than the website

Doesn't look like it. Would be a handy addition though. Even if they just bolted it on to the official app.

Picked a proper first draft team there....amazingly I'm familiar with all my players except for one obscure Czech defender.

    Reus (C) ftw

I would actually only know 10 of the players in my side! It seems no one else knows them either I have 4 players with 0% ownership and another 3 on 1%! Surprised Ronaldo is only on 29%

You can change captain after each day so you might as well captain a French player for now.

I'll be going with Griezmann captain.

Said I would take summer off from fantasy activities but will probably end up making a team. Anyone come across any decent articles on who is expected to play for each team or a review of the qualifying campaign?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,511 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

Currently have 3 albanians in mine.

Playing bench fodder is a lot more expensive than in fpl

FFS are doing their normal team by team articles and all the news papers have done them google team by team euro 2016 guide and there's loads. Guardian, Telegraph.

No you can't. Matchday one brings in all the teams first matches

You can. This game is more like the Ultimate FPL than the normal FPL. This is the rule although I can see why you were confused by the wording - each day is a new matchday.

    Manager substitutions
After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next matches start, you can:
Change your captain (if he was not sent off) with a player from your squad whose team is yet to play

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,174 ✭✭✭Dearg81

I'll be going with Griezmann captain.

Just to warn you Griezmann will probably be playing on the wing most of the time with Giroud playing central.

What's the point in having a captain then, if you can change it if he fails?

Means you can have a bit of a punt on someone a bit more interesting for MD1. In UFPL if you had Kane/Aguero etc playing later on in the week you could get a lot more creative with an early pick.

I'm looking forward to this after my worst FPL season ever. Long being cheaper than Keane surprises me.
