Don't gamble at all, but like a little flutter this time of year, on this big race.

Something special about this annual nag race that really gets me going, I know there's no such thing as a strategically placed bet on this race, as its pretty much a lottery, but its hard to beat the thrill of the big race, especially if you're in the company of mates, down the pub enjoying a cold one.

Will you be partaking in a little flutter for the big race?

Who in the thread is gonna back/predict the winning horse for the race?

I have thrown a few bucks down with the bookie on Saint Are!

The mate text me to tip a horse called v-neck.

Reckons its an extremely good jumper.

I've gone with three with very tiny stakes indeed.

Saint Are 16s (2nd last year)
    Boston Bob 25s
    Unioniste 33s

Not much of a gambler my self. Will probably put €50 in my paddy power account for the Euros, not used since the World Cup, and again the Euros before that.

Prefer doing a few bets on Cheltenham now, compared to the National. Better chance of a return, Nationals are just pure luck for the casusals. And whilst dont want to get on the anti racing rant, as not against it, but still find fallers uncomfortable to watch, and wondering if they survived.

My Grandad calls Cheltenham the punters graveyard because no one ever wins! Or at least he never does :D

I might back 'Creosote' (very good over fences!)

'Lunch Hour' is also fancied 12-1

Was flicking thru the channels, stopped on rte and they were talking about money going down on a certain horse (paddy power also mentioned it that enough had gone down for the odds to change from 15/1 to 10/1) The man on RTE said this wasn't public money "so you can imagine who is putting the money down" what sort of money are we talking about to be able to change the odds so much on a big race

It's to avoid money laundering. Would it trouble you that much?

I think it is just more a pain in the hole, when you are not that pushed about using the account.

It didn't make it to the second fence. That used to be my specialty; picking the first horse out of the race.
