Last Raw before Wrestlemania 32 next Sunday, will WWE get their collective **** together and deliver a quality show??

    1. Who is the true authority in WrestleMania's main event?
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H might have evaded Roman Reigns last week on Raw, speeding away in the back of an SUV, but The Game won’t have a getaway car when he defends his title against The Big Dog at WrestleMania. But six nights before that anticipated Show of Shows main event, Reigns and Triple H will cross paths in Brooklyn.

Reigns made a statement Thursday night on SmackDown by mercilessly laying out both Dudley Boyz, reinforcing his assertion that he’s the real “authority” in WWE. How will The Cerebral Assassin respond to that startling show of aggression?

    2. To what extremes will Ambrose go to slay The Beast?
With an extreme arsenal of WWE Hall of Famers’ weapons of choice — including Mick Foley’s “Barbie” and Terry Funk’s chainsaw (yes, a chainsaw) — Dean Ambrose seems more than prepared to conquer Brock Lesnar in their No Holds Barred Street Fight at WrestleMania. Yet, as we witnessed on SmackDown, the only weapon The Anomaly might need at The Show of Shows is the F-5, a move that has felled the likes of John Cena, Triple H, The Rock and even The Undertaker.

The Lunatic Fringe’s kendo stick attack ended painfully for Ambrose on SmackDown thanks to Lesnar’s feared finishing maneuver, but the unstable Superstar won’t be able to resist a potential opportunity to get a piece of The Beast before their hardcore brawl on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Expect Ambrose to bring mayhem to Brooklyn, live on Raw.

    3. Are we approaching The Undertaker’s final WrestleMania?
As if the stakes weren’t already high in the anticipated Hell in a Cell Match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker at WrestleMania, Mr. McMahon added a startling stipulation to the bout: If The Deadman doesn’t defeat WWE’s prodigal son, this will be his final appearance on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Now, the WWE Universe faces two potential realities in the aftermath of The Show of Shows that could shift the landscape of sports-entertainment. Either Shane assumes control of Raw — and, by extension, WWE — or The Phenom walks away from WrestleMania forever. How will both combatants respond to The Chairman’s bombshell announcement Monday night?

    4. Will Jericho accept Styles’ challenge?
Everyone wants AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho IV at WrestleMania … except Chris Jericho. After The Phenomenal One threw down the gauntlet for a battle on The Grandest Stage of Them All, “The Best in the World at What He Does” vehemently declined the challenge in a WWE.com interview, saying he would rather “sit out” at WrestleMania than face Styles again.

Despite Jericho’s refusal, will Styles continue his pursuit of a rematch on Raw? If not, what awaits Styles as he approaches the first WrestleMania since he joined the WWE roster?

    5. How will the “Total Divas” even the odds?
The Divas division underwent a sudden shakeup on Tuesday night, when Emma and Summer Rae joined forces with Lana, Naomi and Tamina to form a formidable alliance against Brie Bella, Paige, Alicia Fox and Natalya.

Clearly, the five-Diva squad has a numbers advantage against the stars of “Total Divas,” changing the complexion of what was originally shaping up to be a 4-on-4 clash at WrestleMania. Will the reality TV stars find a new ally to even the odds? If so, who will it be?

    6. Who will gain the upper hand before WrestleMania’s Intercontinental Title Ladder Match?
This whole #KOMania thing seems to have blown up in Kevin Owens’ face. After attempting to deny Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and Sami Zayn an opportunity to challenge him for his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, The Prizefighter has found himself in the unenviable position of having to defend his title in a Ladder Match against all three of those Superstars, along with three additional challengers: Zack Ryder, Stardust and Sin Cara.

Owens talked a big game in his WWE.com interview with Michael Cole on Wednesday, dismissing his six opponents — namely Ryder. Yet, it was “Zack Daddy” who left the boastful champion staring up at the lights in a seven-man melee on SmackDown. Will The Long Island Iced-Z continue to ride this momentum to WrestleMania, or will another one of these seven Superstars break from the pack before The Showcase of the Immortals?

And seeing as the clocks have gone forward, it's back to a 1 am start on Sky Sports.

Cue JBL saying something along the lines of "We're in bizzaro world tonight" or "the crowd are having fun"

    Cena
teasing his involvement, saying he's in Brooklyn tonight.

Next name going into the HoF, ofically, is
    Snoop Dog
    .

    And
    Balor
is also being his usual ****-tease on Twitter...

Wish someone could edit the title out of that and make it look like they're fighting over the toy in the box of cereal.

And I will tell you from experience (unbeaten btw), that is exactly what it looks like.

    Yes please to
Cena. Never thought I'd miss him so much in WWE.
    Snoop? Weird.
    Wouldn't be surprised if
he interfered in the Divas triple threat to stop Ric's shenanigans since he's Sasha's cousin.
    Finn
is at it every week now. Getting old.

No mention of the women's match that we actually care about?
I assume the events they refer to are from Main Event? Emma's back and Paige is face again? Rosa Mendes to hep them, since she's the only one I can think of still somehow employed.

I assume this is the last night to make changes to the matches. Any chance they'll swap Sami and Owens with Ryback and Kalisto? Please?

Shane and Taker to both be there?

Will the "Every man in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal invades the ring" spot happen tonight or on Smackdown?

Why are they having on of those "fit every Diva on the card" tag matches on Sunday,?
They are a complete waste of air time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,549 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Oh misread it. The match is on Sunday. Guess that means it'll be the celeb spot. Maria Menenenonous maybe?
I'm sure they'll be in some place on the card that'll cause a better match to be moved to the preshow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Who's been booked to perform, need to know this so I can plan my snack break/refill of drinks/have a cigarette before coming back for the main events.

I predict after every segment somebody either looks or points at the wrestlemania sign

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,549 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I think Zack did that on Smackdown but was like he forgot to do it and just remembered as he was leaving. He just quickly pointed rather than the usual really long point followed by belt motion.

But will Dean use the chainsaw to decapitate Paul Heyman ahead of his match with Lesnar on Sunday? Remember when Paul Bearer would be seemingly killed before matches involving his "children"?

    Shane has really been missed.

Just a shame he's been thrown into, what really is a nothing match.

He would have been better off returning the Raw after Mania in my opinion.

Shane points to the sign, take a drink

Swig of beer for every superstar/diva pointing at the Wrestlemania sign.

    Great opening segment.

This crowd is seriously rowdy, Reigns could get slaughtered.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Typical WWE booking suggests the guy going into the PPV with the advantage ultimately loses.

Yeah, just the biggest or second biggest match at WrestleMania 32 in front of the biggest crowd in WWE history...no big deal

Isn't that kind of the idea, to protect the opponent? Landing full force doesn't seem like the best idea. I wasn't watching that closely admittedly.

That segment did more for the match then the last 4 weeks did

shane to win clean after someone interferes on his behalf and vince will then run down to the ring and shout at taker while shane is recovering at the other side of the ring and taker gets up and attacks Vince (shane gets a punch or 2 in aswell) and taker congradulates shane and leaves. Taker is rehired the next night on raw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,949 ✭✭✭A Primal Nut

Ha hopefully the three commentators have to stand for 3 hours.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,268 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Aw, Ryder got the jobber entrance. Wanted to see if the crowd popped for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,949 ✭✭✭A Primal Nut

Wasn't sure about them building up Shane as being the Undertaker's equal. Was kind of hoping if he did win it would be by outstmarting the Undertaker as opposed to trying to convince people he can beat Taker in a fair fight.

But to be fair the way they are doing it, even it's seems a bit silly to long-term fans, is the best for hyping the fight.

Jericho pointed at the Mania sign.

Anyone else think they've missed a trick when Jericho was talking about what he's done at Mania by not playing Fandango's music?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,096 ✭✭✭✭the groutch

They should have made it a submission match.
