any chance of the lightshow hitting the mid-west, Limerick direction??

Unfortunately the idea of a light show in the Limerick area is not really forecasted. But there is a bit of hope that a shower would come our way.

Please check out my varied content on YouTube.com/@jpmarn. That’s includes some weather.

Looks like the West Coast is missing out on all the fun.

Imagine being in Germany right now though:

Am watching flight radar 24 and listening to Dublin ATC at the moment. There's a lot of requests from pilots to avoid the weather west of a Dublin which is right on the approach into the airport.

Insane that most of Dublin missed that last thunderstorm despite it being so close.

Blanch was practically on the border of the storm

That must be what just passed over south Cavan. Unreal thunder,so loud and very heavy rain for a good few mins. A bit of lightning but not much which I was disappointed with. Still a very rumbles every now and then

That cell was fierce as it was on the kildare/meath border. Witnessed lightning hitting a house. Seen a few trees with smoke coming off them obviously hit by lightning.

And one thing ive never seen before, clouds of steam coming off fields and rising into the sky like a updraft

Worst thunderstorms to hit Ireland since July 1985?

Very heavy downpour with a lot of flashes and rolling thunder, temp fell from 22.7 to 16.7C during all that. My IBC water containers are nearly full again but the gutters couldn't cope and was spilling over, No watering the garden this evening lol. South east Sligo.

It was absolutely crazy here. No electricity at the moment, something nearby must have been struck with lightning.
