Science can't explain what a tracker mortgage is,
Or how they get the figs into the fig rolls.

Why there is something rather than nothing, as with life and the universe.

The biggies for me are consciousness/self awareness and how this is possible that a section of matter can be aware of its existence and be examine itself and the rest of the universe? Some believe that a sufficient number of nerves/interconnected memory storage devices will develop consciousness with sufficient input. Why is the internet not self aware?

Also what started the universe? What was there before? I know someone will say big bang but that is just a theory and does not explain what caused it if it is true?

What exactly is the universe expanding into

When challenged the boffins sheepishly reply "nothing" but I say to them loudly what's holding the nothing in then

    Nothing but silence

The space between galaxies is expanding. Hense redshift

Why Kneemos keeps starting these threads

on the plus side he/she has stopped polluting the feedback forum

    Innate conscience in human beings?
Because it's beneficial to our species and we have big brains.

    Dear Science,

    Can I Kick It?

    Regards,

    Boomer

    Dear Boomer,

    Yes You Can.

    Regards,

    Science

    That solves that conundrum.

So what's at the edge? :P

We dont know if there is an edge. Can only see some 14 odd billion light years away. Could be infinite space and galaxies beyond that.

The infinity solution always strikes me as a copout, 'we cant say and we probably never will be able to.. lets say its infinite and then this problem goes away'. This crops up a lot in physics and astrophysics

Its not a cop out. There is no answer because no one knows. Could be infinite. Could be an edge out there somewhere to a membrane where another universe begins. Could be that there is no universe and all of this is only a simulation.

We know something can't come from nothing.

So how did everything end up existing if things can't come from nothing?

In the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded!!
Terry pratchett joke, can't claim it as my own

What about that time with Messi against Villarreal?

He picked the ball up around half way, beats numerous opponents an slots the ball home.

He made something out of nothing.

Consciousness. They are not even close.

Dark Matter is just something they made up.

Why is there order to the universe or perhaps more importantly why does life exist. The universe would be just as happy without life or existence.

How do you know that? Maybe life is all the universe has craved since the big bang.

Science still cannot explain exactly how the climate works in regards to its chaos theory, but they seem to think they know it inside out. Lazy computer models again, they need to go back and use the brain instead of inputting garbage in whilst receiving garbage out.

How can Salmon come in from the Atlantic Ocean and find its way miles up the tiny little stream it was born on..

Also, how come we can make crazy things like USB Memory sticks, CDs, Spaceships that can make it to Mars, bit no cure for cancer?
