Just back from shopping and was buying some Coca Cola, only when I picked up the bottle did I notice something wrong with the size/weight.
It seems the 2 litre bottle is no more, is now 1.75Ltr
    Coca Cola WTF!!!!!!!!

You should have picked up a 2 litre bottle of Coke instead. They're still around...

It's the same amount of coke, they just reduced the amount of bubbles.

Thought it was me - noticed it in Dunnes last night when i was doing my shopping, all the shelves seemed to be stocked with 1.75 ml (All Coke brands) that had previously been 2 LTR.

There was some 'old looking' twin packs of 2LTRs on the shelves - they could be downsizing there product like cadbury etc...

Thank God I rarely buy that teeth rotting crap but with those sneaky con tricks I'll never buy it again.

Aldi had loadsa 2litre bottles for €1.50 last night.

Could it be something to do with the competition not wanting to match aldi's pricing I wonder?

People will only pay a certain price for products, so instead of increasing the price manufacturers decrease the amount that is sold. KitKat removed a finger and Yorkie a block, it goes on all the time.

The sooner it's sold in 0 litre bottles the better.

    Buy 4 500ml bottles.

I once tried to snort coke but the ice cubes got stuck in my nose.

    ...i'll let myself out.

Those bottles are imported from the UK

Makes sense. Reminds me of those German/Danish/etc. cans you get from Chinese takeaways.

I told that joke in work once. People were horrified. I left there and got a job working with people who have a sence of humour.

All joking aside, where does this stop. If they keep making things smaller, eventually they will disappear. Kind of cutting their nose off to spite their face.

Sugar tax in the UK shortly, only a matter of time before it comes in here. Stock up.

Coca cola can't be mentioned on -line or verbally without being followed by smart ass middle -class comments about sugar water , teeth rotting , childhood and adult obesity , etc. etc.
I LIKE IT AS A TREAT ! like a lot of people and am not over weight so go off and pontificate over the healy - reas or some other middle class obsession or maybe GET A LIFE !

Here's a UK article on the 1.75l bottle replacing the 2l in the UK over 2 years ago.

    http://www.thegrocer.co.uk/cce-replaces-two-litre-coke-bottles-with-175/354039.article

Apparently at a slightly cheaper price than the 2 litre version .

I live in the UK and hadn't consciously noticed, but now that I think about it, hadn't seen 2 litre bottles around in a long time.

In Tescos the smaller bottles are 10cent a litre dearer than the normal 2litre bottles are/were.

Was never a fan of the large bottles of any type of soft drink. Always much preferred it out of a can.

I wonder if it's something to do with the sugar tax in the UK, which seems a bit pointless to me, if your diet consists of 2 liters of Coke a day, then I am sure that's not the only aspect of your diet that's poor.

Plus there are other things in food that are just as worrying, like high levels of salt, fat and saturates which seem to be getting no attention.

I don't think I've ever seen 2L bottles in France. 1.5L is standard. I'm pretty sure as a kid in Ireland we had that same size too.

You know, I never noticed but now that you say it...
I don't think any of the brands of cola are sold in 2L bottles.
