Channel 42 Mulitiplex 1 (same as TG4) service id is 1125. Channel is hidden and has no name so you may have to key 42 directly. Showing a short loop for Rugbaí Beo

Up here in Co. Antrim on my Sony tv, 863 is the number running a loop of the titles for Rugbai Beo.

I wonder how many people will not know it's on- the Irish Times mag today didn't show it, what's the Pro12 website giving as broadcasters?

It's very quick to change over. Works perfectly with my sky remote red button.

    OK, some test results.

On a Saorview set it works when red square appears. Picture is SD, sound is in Irish. Blue button returns to TG4.

On a Saorview set but Country = UK, red button works but no sound. Maybe needs another try.

No LCN is used or at least I could not find one.

On a pre-Saorview set xxLG490 (DVB T2), Country = UK (cannot be changed) - works with sound.

So it is not on an LCN.

Edit: just read above posts - could be bothered to go through to Ch 42.

On LCN 42 for me. Samsung LE40C530 - not Saorview approved but seems to work flawlessly anyway.

A couple of Red Button tests from me:

Various Saorview approved Samsungs: Worked first time.
Non-Saorview approved LG: Worked first time.
Saorview approved Cello: Red button directed to blank. Re-scanned and then worked normally.

Perhaps I need a rescan. PITA as SWMBO is watching it.

Working here on Sony TV and on Panasonic PVR but you cannot record it as I tuned it in on the PVR and set manual record button to record but it recorded TG4's election programme instead. Unlike Freeview red button it doesn't seem to operate off a separate channel.

Its on a separate channel here but it changed from 42 to 58 to 54 since 6 o'clock on a Saorview TV set to UK as country.

Also works via red button and on a separate channel on a Freeview HD box.

Tuned with Tvheadend on HTPC ....

    LCN 42
    Service ID 1125
    Channel: Maghera/690MHz/{PMT:1945}
    Service Name ....... none

Before doing a retune, pressing the red button gave me picture of the rugby, but no sound. Worked fine when I tuned in the separate channel & when I deleted the separate channel (& all the other 'hidden' channels), returned to picture & no sound.

Pity I didn't get a chance to test this!

How did it go? Did pressing the red button just bring you to a temp channel?

How did it work on non saorview setups?

It was very fast on a Saorview approved Sony tv. Rugby came on in about 2 seconds.

That's not Kodi. It's an enigma2 receiver running Vix.

That isn't Kodi, but you can get Saorview on Kodi using PVR client/server setup such as tvheadend or VDR... you still need to interface with a tuner and UHF ariel, so it depends what hardware you are running Kodi on...

Anyone any idea how to record Saorview red button as I set my Panasonic PVR with a manual timer to record it when I was tuned into the rugby and it recorded TG4 election programme instead. Was there a separate channel showing the rugby and if so what was it called on the EPG?

Pro 12 rugby last night was on Ch. 825 for me here in NI. My Saorview channels begin at 800.
