I actually love Nicky on the Nicky and Jenny show.Listen every day..
OMG I think this is a really bad move for him. Sounds good on recording but live I thought it was poor..

If Nicky Byrne wasn't part of a well connected elite consisting of RTE/Bertie/Fianna Fail/Louis Walsh and so on, would he be let anywhere near the Eurovision?

D'Arcy seems to like trying to humiliate people. Obviously the thing to do there was make it all flow right as any normal person would in any social situation like that.
Some day his face is going to flip up to reveal a tiny alien operating the RayDarcy Mark I.
Just here to observe our primitive race

Such a bad state of affairs when DLB starts looking good compared to someone else.

I just posted on the LLS in defence of DLB''s performance last night :o:)

Just so I can claim to be objective, whenever we next get accused of being overly negative :)

i think he's said it a few times, Ryan won't have him on, i wonder why ;)

He was on the lls with Pat Kenny, I remember him doing a bit on how weird it was that Tubs had procreated, then acted out Ryan having sex by humping the desk and making 'ih ih ih' sounds

    I'm pretty sure that happened

Nicky: "that's the monkey off my back".
Everyone else: "shut up you ****".

    Mod:
    No need for this

Ray's probably just said to Simon, " I'm good with keyboards, mind if I have a go!"?"..

He's the spit of Albert Steptoe in that pic. Just as miserable too.

First time watching the Ray D'Arcy show there tonight.

The story about the husband/father with Motor Neurone disease was very moving.

On another note, he is an absolutely awful presenter. They replaced Brendan O'Connor who was awful with this guy.

The prize in the phone in show is €3000. Used to be €10,000 , then €5,000.

Like the LLS even the prize money is becoming crap.

1 guess where the money went ;)

To be honest, I bailed and started watching Rocky on DVD instead of the RDS
But the thread looks decent in fairness. Great work, people, even when faced with a wrecking machine of a host.

It's not running up those steps to Independence Hall, it's actually running away from Ray, raising yer arms in relief, while we're doin it in grief frown.png

Did you ever see the price of them in the supermarkets that import them along with a shelf of other American stuff. About €9 eek.png

I heard there's an Irish aisle in some UK Tesco's, similar prices as well?

Just watching Nicky Byrne singing live. His voice is surprisingly weedy. The oul song has no chance. Too generic and boring

Ah no, don't tell me it got mysteriously deleted ... again.

I was at the Edinburgh Fringe, he was standing on a street corner roaring at passers by. (he wasn't even performing that year)

He shouted at me, I told him it was bad enough listening to him in Dublin.

Heated row ensued. neither of us backed down.

Eventually I got bored and went to the Seven Sisters for a few pints.

Don't blame him for shouting at ya. Bit of a posh hip trendy Dub, aren't ya?

Could RTÉ afford to stage it again?

Probably not after paying for Fr Ray, Jenny, Will etc
