    Seems legit....

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Anyone have a similar experience?

I've often gone to the pub and woken up with much memory deleted and feeling like my anus has been probed.

But I put it mostly down to that dodgy kebab and the rake of guinness...

"You must use the force. Be one with the force" A quote from the alien seemingly.

They might be from outter space but they're Star Wars fans too!

A pity the asteroid coming is the size of Munster , if it was the size of Leinster we might have a chance .

We'd better get back, 'cause it'll be dark soon, and The Backwards Man mostly comes at night... mostly.

Four million light years more advanced?
You'd think they'd know the difference between distance and time.

"We are four million light years more advanced than you are. "

I thought a light year was a measurement of distance

edit: oops kneemos got there before me

From the 35th quadrant no less. Imagine the size of the galaxy that has 35 quadrants

As if aliens are going to waste a hot scoop like that on somebody from Limerick. It'd be like God appearing to some arsehole from Roscommon.

I sometimes think those who were 'abducted' suffered some form of child abuse and have fabricated the alien story as a way of coping.

I believe that they truly believe they were abducted, however their alien story has simply replaced the actual story. Plausible?

It was St Stephen's Day. He's got a big white beard. He asked to be brought to the North Pole. I think the real story is yet to be told...

I'd love to know where the Mirror got the stock photo of aliens. They're hiding something

"Gerry is hopeful his story will reach the world’s scientific community and said: "The truth is definitely out there." "

Somebody needs to inform the scientific community of Gerry's story asap. I'm sure they will be delighted to know the "truth is definetly out there"

Also, TBM, you really should edit the thread title. He was abducted by ALIENS. The Mirror think that they need to shout the word ALIENS at us for some reason, I suppose in case we thought he had been abducted by someone else. Like PAEDOPHILES. Or TERRORISTS.

I could not possibly say. But since you mention it, Santa's elves are normally described as short, childlike creatures. Aliens are frequently described as short, childlike creatures. They have a spaceship that can travel at high speed. We know Santa needs to cover huge distances in a single day. Perhaps he's upgraded from a sleigh, or maybe that was just a cover story all along. I'll say no more, they're always watching you know...

    Done:)

I'm emailing my CV to the Mirror as we speak.

"All I remember is his big cone head and his beautiful, ginormous eyes"

When I was reading this the dusty Springfield Classic the look of love was playing on the stereo.

Aye I think he had 2 Christmas drinks all right. One was a bottle of whiskey and the next was a bottle of brandy.

He was pranked by his neighbors. I know that village well and the McDonaghs are well known for such mischief, clever feckers they are too, one's an astrophysicist and I think the youngest is a genetic engineer. All unemployed since the crash.

No demand for genetic engineers in Palaskenry?

At least the Aliens had the decency to leave his coat back on the roof of the Regional Hospital after probing his arsehole.

If it happened in 2001 how come it took 15 years for it to make the news?

I love how they just flew him to the north pole , had a rant about the banks and government, and then left his jacket on the roof of the regional hospital. Is he certain he wasn't tripping off his face in a taxi? :D

If you look past the hoaxers and crazies the subject is legit.

    Kelly Johnston UFO event https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Johnson_(engineer)

This event was witnessed by 3O people and took place over a Nato base in the UK

Plenty of cases like this online. People think if they got here they just land and say hello, but thats just wishful thinking.

We've gone metric now, parsecs instead of Light Years.

A parsec (symbol: pc) is a unit of length used to measure large distances to objects outside the Solar System. One parsec is the distance at which one astronomical unit subtends an angle of one arcsecond. A parsec is equal to about 3.26 light-years (31 trillion kilometres or 19 trillion miles) in length.

In actual scientific news, the existence of Gravitational Waves as predicted by Einstein, is expected to be proved shortly. Nobel Prize win expected.

You'd get a Nobel prize for peeling a Banana these days.

    Albert was clever though.

They don't exist. Nor do ghosts. Or moving statues etc.

With the amount of camera phones around the world now, we would have good video evidence of some of these by now. The reason we don't is because they don't exist.

    might be aquatic.
