Actually that could be a really good call.

So after all the hype and articles about how they wanted ordinary members of the public to apply for the job, how "you could be the one" etc etc, Matt Le Blanc gets it.

A splash of genius by the BBC -Le Blanc, Sabine Schmitz and the other bloke.

Heh, it's funny how much people's reactions have turned around after hearing about Matt being hired.

My interest has definitely gone up a bit now.

I might start watching it again

Now if Matt LeBlanc is doing this as his "Episodes" character than this is going to be extremely entertaining, if it's just Matt LeBlanc than I'm not sure if it's going to be that entertaining.

I bet he'll always get stuck in second gear.

Now if they'd just fire Chris Evans we'd be onto a winner.

Eddie Jordan to be added, not sure about that at all.

Whenever I've seen Matt LeBlanc interviewed he always came across as being as dull as dishwater. I guess he may be able to act interesting at least.

Two years? They're staying optimistic about the show so.

I think Leblanc got better, I didn't hate him and I thought that once he was out of the studio and in the cars he seemed more genuine. I'd expect he'll always be a dry wit though, very dry, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

    Eeh, done!

    Eeh, done!

Very happy with this, Evans was obviously not suited to the show,
and I felt the hodge podge of presenters meant that no real camaraderie developed.

I did actually enjoy some bits with Eddie Jordan, especially when speaking about F1. Not so much with the 'forced' challenges which I found boring.

They kinda ruined the star in a reasonably priced car bit too.
It's just sad when the celeb can't steer at all in the off road bit.

Maybe it was just Evans commentating with fake excitement that really turned me off the segment.

The BBC is now reporting that LeBlanc will stick around for one more season before heading off:
LeBlanc said that despite Top Gear being "great fun", the "time commitment and extensive travel... takes me away from my family and friends more than I'm comfortable with."

He added: "It's unfortunate, but for these reasons I will not be continuing my involvement with the show. I will forever be a Top Gear fan and I wish the team continued success. Thanks for a great drive."

Expect off-the-charts levels of LADBANTER. It'll be painful.

You haven't seen anything yet in the history of the show, unless they're told to tone it back significantly.

Flintoff currently manages to be more annoying on a TV show that also features James Corden. That's some achievement.

When a tv program has had the same presenters for so long as TG did with Clarkson, May and Hammond, you should just cancel the show altogether when that teams stops and think of something new and different.

Keep the 3 and change from cars to bicycles and Top Gear wouldn't have suffered, keep cars and change to other presenters... not so much.

I refuse to believe it. A porcupine trying to make a nest in my anus would be less annoying than James Cordon.

What the f*ck. Why change something again that wasn't broken? I was actually starting to really enjoy both Reid & Harris as presenters of the show along with LeBlanc. I thought all three gelled really well together when they had the show. Why would the BBC make more changes to make McGuinness & Flintoff become presenters of TG? Reid & Sabine Schmitz are both on Extra Gear now. Ok, what happens with that format in future? Are they on a joint presenting role now with that show or will they take turns presenting it each week?

Also muckthewarrior; LOL. Very well put. :D
