A zoomed out shot of Madison Square Garden comes into focus. The camera cuts to the hallway leading to the dressing rooms, as the figure of Seth Rollins is strutting into the building. Visibly pleased with himself, he makes himself known to everybody he passes on the way. All of a sudden, he is blindsided by a scream, and as he turns he is jumped by a noticeably enraged Ricky Steamboat. The crowd goes wild as he pummels away at Rollins who is on the ground, while Seth can only just put his hands up to defend himself.
Steamboat: AAAAAGGGGGGGGGH! I’M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!
Everybody just watches while Ricky beats on Seth, however soon the figure of John Laurinaitis appears, as he directs various superstars to restrain the two.
Johnny Ace: ALRIGHT, ENOUGH! I understand that you two have unfinished business, especially after last week, but as far as I am concerned the dye has now been cast! You two will face off at Cheddarama, and for the sake of this company that is the only time I can let you two meet. I can’t have my show being thrown into chaos because of you! Seth, I have plans for you this evening, so Ricky I advise that you take tonight off.
The crowd boos as their relative hometown boy Steamboat is restrained by four superstars (Swann, Sharpe, Gunn & Collins), as a limousine shows up in the background. They drag him kicking and screaming towards the car, and place him in the back. The car drives off, as Laurinaitis advises Seth to go and get himself together. He murmurs a sigh of relief as things quieten down once more.
Johnny: Finally, now we can get back to normality…
Porallo: Good evening ladies & gentlemen, we’re here live from the city so nice they named it twice….NEW YORK CITY!
Mortell: Damn right, the hometown of none other than Ricky Steamboat! I’m sure he would have received a huge ovation, had he not been unceremoniously escorted out of the building by our general manager!
Porallo: As much as we don’t like it, Laurinaitis’ rationale was sound, he wants to take no chances with our huge main event at Cheddarama, which will be taking place in just a couple of day's time!
Burke: He was right to do it! You can’t just go around manhandling our talent like that! Ricky should know better than that, A LOT BETTER THAN THAT!
Peter Morton & Carl Collins can be seen making their way down the ramp. While they wave and gesture very animatedly to the crowd, the crowd respond with boos and jeers.
Morton: Good evening everybody, my name is Peter Morton, and I am…THE GREATEST…HCE TELEVISION CHAMPION OF ALL TIME!
Crowd boos wildly.
Morton: Oh shut the hell up, you folks wouldn’t know greatness if it bit you in your high-rise asses! Now without further ado, let’s get the Peter Morton Putting Challenge underway! Who’s it gonna be Carl???
Carl points out that none of the golfing paraphernalia is in place in the ring, prompting Morton to start exclaiming loudly on the mic. At this point, John Laurinaitis appears on the ramp.
Johnny Ace: Now hold up there a second Pete. These folks I’m sure came to see a HCE TV Title Open Challenge, not some hokey putting extravaganza! Which is why, I can confirm, that we will be going back to normal tonight, with a good old fashioned TV TITLE OPEN CHALLENGE!
The crowd cheers loudly for this, excited at seeing a title match.
Johnny: Now, we’ll need to find you a suitable opponent. Somebody who is well decorated. Somebody who is beloved in their home country. Somebody who has travelled the world. I think I have just the guy…YOUR OPPONENT TONIGHT WILL BE…
Crowd braces themselves expectantly, while Morton looks annoyed and exasperated.
Johnny Ace: (with a laugh)….CARL COLLINS!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!
The crowd is a mix of shocked and excited, as this was clearly not the name they were expecting to be announced. From afar, Morton and Johnny share a nod and a wink with one another, as Carl gets ready to square off. A referee appears, and raises the title aloft in the air, to signal that the match is under way.
Porallo: Something doesn’t seem right about this to me…
Burke: Morton is a fighting champion, he needs to test himself against the best! And who better than his right hand man Carl?!?!?? It’s a perfect decision by our general manager.
Television Championship – Peter Morton v Carl Collins
The bell rings, and Morton and Collins start circling each other, with each one trying to get the upper hand. Suddenly Morton lashes out unexpectedly and wildly with a right hand that is clear to everyone just grazes Collins’ cheek. However, it sends him straight to the mat.
Burke: Wow! What a haymaker from Morton! That’s why this guy is the best!
Mortell: Oh please, it was clear as day that he didn’t even touch him. He’s just falling in line like the spineless rat that he is!
Morton gives a wry smile to everybody in the crowd, as he covers Collins slowly, like he is weary from a hard battle. The referee is a little uncertain, but drops to the mat to count the 1….2…..3.
WinnerAND STILL HCE TELEVISION CHAMPION…Peter Morton
Morton celebrates with the title in his arms, as he falls to his knees, like he has been through a war to retain it. Collins then gets straight up unharmed, and celebrates with Morton as they hug each other. The crowd begins to boo incessantly!
Porallo: Oh come on, what a load of crap! It was a set up from the very beginning!
Burke: Hardly! He obviously struck Carl to merely stun him, they’re friends! He’s not going to try to hurt him!
Morton: So once again, I stand tall as your television champion! It is getting boring really, defending it against everyone.
Porallo: Everyone?!? That was his first defence! And he didn’t even d…
Burke: You’re only as good as your last fight, and he’s a champion!
Collins: You’ve shown true American steel Pete, nobody can touch you! You are truly…the embodiment of eminence, the example of excellence…the effigy of entertainment…
Morton: Too kind Carl, too kind! I think in light of this momentous victory, it is only fair that we leave this humdrum town, and take some time off. Let the other losers slug it out for worthless prizes at Cheddarama, it is very much time for us to kick back and relax!
The crowd boos, while Morton and Collins cup their hands to their ears, basking in their loathing.
The crowd comes to life as Roderick Strong’s music plays on the Titantron. Morton & Collins look towards the ramp ready to fend him off, however he appears behind them to a loud cheer from the audience.
Mortell: By god, Strong is back!!! And just in time too!
Strong ducks a clothesline attempt from Collins, and makes a beeline for Morton, who scurries under the bottom rope and hightails it up the ramp, the crowd still booing. Strong turns around and strikes Collins with a right hand, before dropping him to the mat with CX ’03. He picks up a mic and looks towards the ramp at Morton.
Strong: Well, well, well. It sure looks like you’ve been doing a good job of disrespecting everybody since you got here…PETE. I’m going to keep this short and sweet. I’m back after your sneak attack, I have a rematch clause, and I’m gonna use it. Chedddarama, me vs you. TV Title on the line. You’d better be ready to fight, because I sure as hell am!
Strong drops the mic, and jumps up onto the turnbuckle to an ovation from the fans. He engages them all, embracing their cheers. Collins has rolled out of the ring at this point, while Morton is fuming that he now has to fight at Cheddarama. He curses as he walks behind the curtain.John Laurinaitis is in his office. Opposite his desk are both Bart Gunn & Xavier Woods. While Gunn is bullish, Woods looks to still be feeling the effects of the attack at the hands of Seth Rollins the previous week.
Johnny Ace: He made you both look like idiots last week! I can’t have that as being normal from my esteemed security and psychology team!
Woods: We know boss, well…’I know.’
Gunn: What are you trying to imply, you little pipsqueak? That I’m not as smart as you? That I have no idea as to what to do in comparison to you? (grabbing Woods by the throat) IS THAT WHAT YOU’RE TRYING TO TELL ME, TOUGH GUY?
Woods: (trying to wriggle free) No no no! You’re perfectly capable mentally! In my psychological capacity, I reckon you’re perfectly (breaks free from Gunn’s grasp and starts dusting himself down while whispering)…insane.
Johnny: God guys, why are you two always at each other?!? We’re a team! Anyway, I need you to two to save face and avenge yourselves. Because the two of you are teaming up to take on Seth Rollins tonight…in a handicap match.
Gunn and Woods look at each other with some mild uncertainty, however they both agree that they will exact revenge for their boss tonight, and that Seth Rollins will pay for what he did last week. As Bart leaves to prepare himself, Xavier advises that he has an important meeting to research for later. Johnny Ace rolls his eyes to heaven and takes a look at the dented Crystal Case behind his desk, wondering how everything could have gone so wrong.Mike Sharpe is pirouetting down the hall, once again humming another classic rock anthem. He’s in such a zone, that he doesn’t notice D’Lo Brown & The Godfather trying to pour coffee at a vending machine. As he gets really into the chorus of ‘Slow Ride’, he inadvertently knocks into the Godfather, with coffee going everywhere…
Sharpe: SLOOOOOOOW RIIIIIIIDEEEE! TAAAKEEE IT EASSSSSYYYYYY!
Godfather: Hey homeboy, you’d better watch yourself!!!! (he drops the empty coffee cup and grabs Sharpe by the neck)
D’Lo: Yeah, watch yourself! We are not two boys that you want to be messing with, ya feel me?
Sharpe: Why….I…I….
Godfather: Well spit it out!
Sharpe: Well of course not fellas, I mean…it’s not like you two have been pulling up any trees recently either!
D’Lo: Oh, you gone and done it now!
The two start to move in on Mike, when Mark Henry appears.
Henry: Hey hey hey! What’s goin’ on here?
Godfather: Stay out of it man! This is none of your business!
Henry: Well now, Mikey here may not be the smartest man that ever lived, but he’s an honest one. He wouldn’t try to do bad by anybody, I think we all know that. And if we don’t, then maybe they’ll have to be shown that the hard way.
D’Lo: Are you threatening us?
Henry: It sure sounds like it. So rather than teaming up on a man a seventh of your size, how’s about you two take on the two of us in a good old fashioned tag team battle TONIGHT?!?
Godfather: (dropping Sharpe onto the pool of spilled coffee) You’re on. It’ll be the biggest mistake you two will have ever made, even bigger than that disgraceful hand you call a son!
They walk off angrily. Mark meanwhile picks up Sharpe and reassures him that things will be okay, and to prepare, because they have a match coming up soon.Jay Lethal is in the dressing room with Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami. The shot of them elicits a huge reaction from the crowd, who are thrilled to see the fan favourites.
Lethal: I sure am glad that you guys are riding with me tonight against Buddy and his no good assortment of knock off sidekicks! Tonight is going to be a great night, we’ll get the victory we truly deserve, putting me in line for the INTERCONTINENTAAAAAALLL CHAMPIOOOONSHIP, and giving you two some vital momentum before you prise those tag titles from those Kim Kardashian wannabes MNM! OOOOOH YEAAAAHHHH!
Inoki: But…Jay…what if, no other partner?
Lethal: Don’t you worry about a thing my man! I have no doubt that when people see the three of us lined up, they’ll be queuing up to give these no good beatniks the beatin’ of a lifetime…..WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
As the three laugh and joke among each other, the camera cuts to a different dressing room, where Buddy Rogers and his crew are also prepping themselves for the same match.
Buddy: I DO NOT…want anybody performing at less than 100% tonight. We all know what’s at stake here, the safety of my intercontinental title. And if you three are not able to hold up your end, then there will be consequences. Jay Lethal, running his mouth, making out that I am no Ric Flair. Who does he think he is? I made Ric Flair who he is today! I am the original Nature Boy, the greatest wrestling champion of all time! And because I will stop at nothing, that means that you three cannot stop at nothing! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!?!?
Terkay: Absolutely.
Swann: Sure thing Skip.
Benjamin: I guess.
Buddy moves in towards Shelton.
Buddy: You guess? YOU GUESS? Over the past few weeks, you have been nothing but insubordinate, and a pain in the side of this group. You are being afforded an opportunity to be a part of a special group. Together, we are changing the landscape of HCE. And I don’t think that you respect how significant I am in all of this. I am going to repeat myself one more time…DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?
Benjamin: Yeah…
Buddy is incensed, and slaps Shelton with authority. The slap reverberates around the dressing room. He’s all up in his face, and is practically yelling at this point.
Buddy: DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!??!
Benjamin:Yes…boss.
Buddy: Do not ever, ever…make me repeat myself again.
Buddy walks off camera, while Terkay and Swann just stare at each other before leaving with him also. Shelton is left to ponder what has just transpired.Porallo: We are back live, and we have some great matches coming up. Right now we have a tag team affair, and boys…Mike Sharpe really managed to rub D’Lo and The Godfather up the wrong way!
Mortell: He sure did Eric, and only for Mark Henry arriving on the scene, I really don’t think things were looking good for Iron Mike!
Burke: He may be the World’s Strongest Man, but he seems pretty weak in the cranium department if he starts choosing battles like these!
Porallo: Now what the hell does this guy want?!?
Sean O’Haire strolls down the ramp to boos from the audience. He walks towards the commentators’ desk, picks up a headset and sits down beside Elijah Burke.
Burke:Sean, my man! How’s it hangin?
O’Haire: Things are wonderful Burke, just great! I said I’d pay you guys a visit, and offer my expertise for this upcoming match.
Burke: That’s great man, too kind! Isn’t he kind guys?
Porallo: Oh yeah! He’s kind alright.
O’Haire: I’m sensing a bit of hostility from the table, hahaha!
Burke: Don’t listen to him, he just has piles again!
D’Lo & The Godfather walk out, and they are noticeably different in their approach. They have a measured look about them, and they are less focused on the fans. This is evident in the fan reaction, which is less boisterous than the previous weeks. Mike Sharpe comes out to a raucous applause, as he high fives and cheers along with the fans at ringside.
Mark Henry comes out with a similar intense look on his face. Eyeballing D’Lo & The Godfather, he doesn’t divert his gaze from them as he gets into the ring.
O’Haire: Boy, Mark looks as if he means business tonight! I reckon my talk with him a few weeks back went down a treat!
Mortell: Oh where you just insulted him is it?
O’Haire: Oh come on Stan, you know it was a lot more constructive than that. There’s a guy who should be dominating everyone in his path, and he was losing? I’ve gotten him back on the right path. I’m not tell you anything, that you didn’t already know!
Burke: That’s my boy! He’s making everyone better Stan, one day at a time!
Mortell: Yeah…well I’ll believe it when I see it!
The two teams face off, with Sharpe ahead of Mark, ready to start the match up against D’Lo. Sharpe adopts the ready position, as he inches closer in an attempt to lock up. Suddenly…
…Mark Henry clubs Sharpe from behind and starts beating him senseless!
Porallo: Another setup all along! Why on earth is this surprising?!?
Mortell: They were in cahoots the whole time, and poor Mike never suspected a thing!
Mark throws Sharpe around like a ragdoll, brutalising him in the corner with some sharp right hands. Eventually he throws him on the ground, and splashes him. He then lifts him up for a World’s Strongest Slam and plants him into the canvas. As he gets out of the ring, he can be heard shouting “THAT’S WHAT I DO! NOBODY MAKES A FOOL OF ME.”
Meanwhile, D’Lo pressures the ref to ring the bell, in order to signal the start of the match. When the bell rings, D’Lo puts his foot on Sharpe to cover, for the 1…2….3.
Winners:The Godfather & D’Lo Brown
Porallo: What a classy route these guys have decided to go down. And to make matters worse, they’re now beating on poor Mike! Again, he’s defenceless!
O’Haire Whoa whoa whoa! That’s too much, I gotta put a stop to this!
Burke: What?!? Are you crazy?!?
O’Haire gets out of his chair and enters the ring with purpose. He pulls D’Lo & Godfather away from Sharpe, and can be seen talking to them. They depart the ring and amble back up the ramp silently. O’Haire can then be seen comforting Sharpe, and helping him out of the ring. The fans applaud as this occurs.
Mortell:….maybe we misjudged him? Maybe he’s not so bad?
Porallo: I dunno Stan, I think there has to be an ulterior motive at play. Sean O’Haire isn’t exactly the kind of guy who does things for somebody else’s benefit.
Burke: I can’t believe my eyes.Back in Johnny Ace’s office, Bart & Woods are almost ready to go out for their handicap match. Just as they arrive, a badly beaten Mike Sharpe & Sean O’Haire are leaving having just successfully gotten a match made for Cheddarama, where they will take on the team of Mark Henry, D’Lo Brown & The Godfather.
Johnny: Okay guys, it’s time to remember who we are and what we represent! How was the meeting Woods?
Woods: Oh it was great, real great. We must talk about that later at some stage. All I know now is that I am feeling good, and Seth Rollins had better watch out. The pain is coming.
Gunn: (laughing heartily) Hahaha…easy there Rocky Balboa. You just stay out of my way, and I’ll make sure that Seth isn’t putting his foot on anyone’s neck for a very long time.
Woods: (looking taken aback) Hey, I have skills too you know!
Gunn: Yeah…ones that aren’t much use in this line of work!
Johnny: Enough, enough! It’s time to get out there and do me proud!
Porallo: With hostilities like that, I wonder is Seth better off being on his own? It doesn’t really look like John Laurinaitis’ boys will be able to co-exist!
Burke: I’m sure they’re just playing around! Once it gets down to business, they’ll have no problems teaming up!
While this is going on, Seth enters to a good ovation from the crowd. Again, while reactions are mixed, it is noticeable that he is popular with the fans and does make them take notice. It is then that Bart and Xavier come out, to a lesser reaction of mostly boos.
Bart and Woods argue over who gets to start first. Eventually Bart stays in the ring as Woods goes to the outside. The match begins by Bart and Seth locking up, but this deteriorates quickly due to the superior brawling style of Bart. He unleashes a flurry of punches onto Seth who puts up his hands initially to defend himself from the onslaught. Eventually, he clutches the ropes, getting the referee to break the hold.
While the hold is broken, Seth hits Gunn with a quick kick, knocking him to the ground. He stays on top of him, hitting him with some low down punches of his own. He follows this up with a stiff dropkick, which gets the audience going.
Burke: Entertaining to a fault, Rollins is sure aiming to please these fans whether they appreciate it or not!
Seth takes Bart outside the ring and throws him into the ringpost. However, a distraction by Woods causes him to delay, leaving him open to a wicked clothesline by Gunn, which swings the advantage back to Laurinaitis’ boys. Gunn then tags in Woods, who throws a multitude of gut punches at Seth, determined to make him feel the pain he felt last week. He brings him into the middle of the ring and hits a high end back drop and covering immediately for a 1….2…kickout!
Woods again keeps working the back of Seth, and quick tags with Gunn ensures that they both stay relatively fresh. Their good contrasting styles, of Gunn’s brawling and Woods’ more technical/fast paced style makes sure that Seth is being drained quickly. Gunn lifts Seth up, and hits him with a wicked Sidewalk Slam, covering again only to get a 2 count. They visibly look upset now that they cannot put him away, and they can be seen arguing over not being able to get the job done.
This gives Seth the opening he needs, and while Gunn and Woods argue, he’s able to hit Gunn with a running splash, which knocks Gunn into Xavier and dropping him to the ground from the apron. Seth goes gung-ho, which finishes with a jumping spin kick right to the temple of Bart. He lifts him up onto his shoulders with great strength, and hits a devastating Buckle Bomb, which knocks the wind right out of Bart’s sails. He goes to cover, only for the ref to advise that there was a tag made when he knocked into Xavier, meaning Woods is the legal man. As Bart rolls out of the ring, Seth goes looking for Woods and drags him in. Perching him up on the corner, he hits a huge Superplex, and follows it up with the Avada Kedavra! The crowd are really into it, and are willing Seth on, as he waits in the corner for Woods to stir.
Porallo: I think we know what could be coming next!
Burke: Here we go baby, Curb Stomp time!!!
Seth is lying in wait, ready for the Curb Stomp. Before he can move however, there’s a tug on his foot at the bottom rope. The crowd goes absolutely ballistic, as he is pulled out of the ring and set upon by none other than…
Porallo: OH MY GOD, STEAMBOAT IS HERE! RICKY IS BACK, AND THE HOMETOWN FANS ARE GOING WILD!
Mortell: There was no way he was going to be able to stay away, not a chance!
Burke: Does the word of our general manager mean nothing to people like Ricky? He honestly has absolutely no respect whatsoever!
Ricky is again unloading on Seth with lefts and rights, but Seth this time is giving back as good as he gets. They head towards the commentators table, and simultaneously pull a monitor each. They charge towards one another, with both connecting, causing each other to fall to the ground from a double shot to the head. All this is occurring while the referee has called for the bell, due to a disqualification caused by Steamboat with his interference.
Winnerby DQ: Seth Rollins
Both men are wheezing and clearly tired, as John Laurinaitis’ face appears on the Titantron.
Johnny: Ricky, I very clearly told you to take tonight off, because of the very reason you’re out there in my arena right now! And would you listen?!? Of course not! Well, I’m not going to stand for your insolence any longer! You wanna fight? Well you’ll get a fight, because you are officially the fourth man on Jay Lethal’s team in our main event tonight! I sure hope it’s worth it!
Mortell: Wow! I gotta say, some of his decisions are a pile of ****ake mushrooms, but when John Laurinaitis gets it right, he really does get it right!
Porallo: Gotta agree there Stan!
There is hardly any time for Ricky to catch his breath, as the next competitors are making their way out. Gunn & Woods have left at this stage, and Rollins walks off side stage with one paramedic as a small precaution.Porallo: You are all very welcome back ladies & gentlemen, a huge announcement by our general manager just now, that Ricky Steamboat will be the final man on Jay Lethal’s team for our main event, an 8 man tag team match!
Mortell: Remember folks, the stakes could not be higher; if Lethal’s team win, then Jay gets a shot at Nature Boy Buddy Rogers’ Intercontinental title! And from the looks of things, all is not well in the camp!
Burke: Would you ever shut the hell up old man?!? Buddy has been wronged now for the past couple of weeks by his moronic assistant Shelton Benjamin. If I were him, I’d be taking a good long look at my colleagues to see how I can improve in serving the guy giving me all this valuable life experience.
Mortell: I sure hope there isn’t a dip in the market if that’s the case!
Jay Lethal, Inoki & Fujinami all enter out to Lethal’s music, as the crowd give them a huge cheering ovation. They meet Steamboat, who has gotten back into the ring, and they embrace him.
Again, the famous diamond spotlight and formation appears on the ramp, filled by Buddy Rogers and his crew. The whole arena is dark barring the shaft of light that illuminates the group, giving them an almost enigmatic presence.
Burke: Box office guys, this guy is simply box office! How lucky we are to have such a talent in our midst…
Porallo: I don’t know about you Pope, but Valentine’s was over a month ago now at this stage. You’ll have to save it for next year!
As they take off their jackets, Rogers can be seen talking to Shelton, as if to guide him not to do anything rash or hasty tonight. Both teams leave one man each in the ring, with Lethal and Buddy left. Lethal goes to lock up, but Buddy just laughs and tags in Rich Swann straight away.
Burke: What an excellent strategy!
Mortell: It’s never going to end with you is it?!?
Burke: What on earth are you talking about?!??
Mortell: (Shaking his head) Never mind…
Lethal and Swann set off at a very fast pace, with both wrestling a quick style. They trade various holds, with both reversing each other. It seems to be a case of outdoing the other, and countering the other’s previous move with something more impressive. While Lethal gains the upperhand first, the exchange culminates with Swann hitting a textbook Tornado Spin Kick, or 540 kick to the lay person. Catching Lethal square on the jaw, he becomes dazed and has to lean on the ropes for support.
Burke: WOOOOW! That’s why Buddy sees this kid as the future! When you can bust out moves like that, you know you’re going places!
Mortell: I have to agree, that was quite impressive, let’s see if he can build on that!
The advantage swings towards Swann at this point, as he keeps Lethal ground with short intense moves. He constantly tags with Benjamin, working a similar style. Eventually they tag in Terkay, while Lethal tags in Inoki. They both brawl with one another, as the commentators reference Inoki’s former fight with boxing great Muhammad Ali, while also acknowledging Terkay’s past as an MMA fighter, and putting over that he is a dangerous man.
They battle each other hard and stiff, with various rights and lefts coming for around 5 minutes. They rest in the middle, but Inoki then charges forward with a wicked neckbreaker, taking Terkay to the ground. From there, he hits a ground diving knee drop and covers, but only for a two count. He tags in Fujinami, who locks in the Cobra Twist on Terkay, wrenching his back backwards for extra pressure. Terkay looks out of it, up until Buddy comes into the ring to break the hold. While being reprimanded by the referee, Terkay blindsides Fujinami with a knee to the temple, swinging the momentum back to Buddy’s crew. Tagging in Buddy, he goes to work on the knee of Fujinami, hitting elbow drops to the knee, a Dragon Screw takedown, and a chop block. Fujinami is in lots of pain now, and it’s only made worse when Buddy locks in his patented Figure-Four Leg Lock, right in the centre of the ring.
Burke: I think the fat lady may be about to sing boys, Fujinami don’t look too good out there!
Mortell: If he can turn on his belly, he’ll reverse the pressure all onto Buddy, it’s the only hope he has left!
It seems hopeless for Fujinami, but with his last remaining bit of energy, he just about can turn Buddy and release all the pain of the Figure Four onto him. Buddy is writhing in agony, and desperately tries to reach the ropes. It takes 30 seconds, but he eventually does, forcing the hold to be broken. With both men down, he tags in Terkay, all the while Fujinami is desperate to reach Steamboat, who the fans are baying for
Porallo: Come on Tatsu, come on come on come on….YESSS! TAG MADE! HERE COMES STEAMBOAT!!!
Ricky is like a man possessed, knocking down Benjamin, Swann and Buddy off the apron with a huge splash in the corner. Turning around, he ducks a boot from Terkay and hits a beautiful arm drag on his way back. He goes for a quick roll up, but only gets a two count. He rebounds off the ropes only for Terkay to catch him in mid-air, however he reverses into a nice headscissors hurricanrana. The crowd are appreciating the slick and smooth transitions, and a ‘WE LOVE STEAMBOAT’ chant quickly breaks out. Terkay rolls over towards his corner, and tags in Buddy. Buddy hesitates while getting in, but once he does tries to hit Ricky with a thumb to the eye. Ricky sees this coming and blocks it. Lifting Buddy up on his shoulders, he hits a smooth Electric Chair Drop which leaves Buddy reeling. As he sees the rest of the opposing team getting up on the apron, he prompts Inoki and Fujinami to take them out, which they do with suicide dives to the outside. Seeing his opportunity, he goes up top to finish it with the Diving Crossbody. Jay Lethal makes a blind tag seen by the referee, and as Ricky dives towards Buddy, he ducks resulting in him making contact with the ref and knocking him out cold!
With the ref down and most others outside, our attention goes out that way. Inoki and Fujinami are beating on Swann and Terkay, and throw them out over the barricade, following them. However, as they are out there, they are blindsided by Mercury & Morrison, who attack them both from behind. Pummeling away on the Asian legends, they plant Inoki with a Snapshot, much like the battle royal, and Fujinami gets hit with a double Flapjack on the concrete. Terkay and Swann however are not much better off, as they all lie well away from the ring.
It is left with Ricky, Shelton on the outside, and the two legal men; Buddy and Lethal. Ricky tries to wake the ref but to no avail…it is then that the favour is returned by SETH ROLLINS, who appears through the crowd and resumes where they left off at the conclusion of the handicap match earlier.
Porallo: We’re just days away from Cheddarama, and Steamboat and Rollins just cannot keep their hands off of one another!! Look at them go!
With the ref beginning to stir, it is now only Shelton, Buddy and Lethal in the ring. Shelton holds up Lethal while Buddy hits him with some punches to the gut. Directing traffic, he then holds up Lethal, telling Shelton to hit him with a Super Kick. Shelton lines him up, but when delivering the kick Lethal ducks at the last moment, resulting in him nailing Buddy Rogers who falls the mat out cold!
Lethal quickly wastes no time in punching Benjamin and throwing him out over the ropes to the outside while scurrying over for the cover on Buddy. The referee is slowly coming to and counts the pin for the 1………..2…………..3.
Winners:Ricky Steamboat, Antonio Inoki, Tatsumi Fujinami & Jay Lethal (Lethal is now No.1 contender for Intercontinental Championship)
Lethal cannot contain the joy on his face, while outside Shelton cannot mask his disappointment. However, all attention once again turns towards Rollins and Steamboat on the outside, who are still beating the hell out of one another. Again this continues for a few minutes, before Johnny Ace’s face one more appears on the Titantron.
Johnny: Why must I keep repeating myself gentlemen? You have been given instructions, yet all you want to do is beat the hell out of one another until the other one cannot get up. Well, because of your lack of regard for rules, it’s made me have a think. And at Cheddarama, your contest for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship will also have no rules. You two want to beat each other to pulp? You two want to climb over one another in order to succeed? Well, that’s what you’re going to have to do. Gentlemen, your contest is going to be A LADDER MATCH!
Porallo: And just when you thought this main event could not get any better!
Johnny: So if I were you, I’d start practicing guys. It’s a long way down from here!
The Titantron shuts off, as Rollins & Steamboat are now stunned by this news. They are both too busy getting their breath back to approach each other any more, however both are still talking to one another about how they will defeat the other. Lethal comes for Steamboat and brings him up the ramp, advising that his time will come. Neither Seth nor Ricky take their gaze off the other, as the credits roll.

SUPREMACY
Petey: "Welcome to another night of Supremacy here in the MWA. And what a main event we have got tonight."
Dave: "They couldn't be separated last week but tonight there's a wall of steel to make sure that can't happen again."
Petey: "And the winner will book their place in the main event of WrestleRama III for the MWA World Heavyweight Championship. Will it be the King Lion of CHAOS Kazuchika Okada, a man that has led the most dominant group of wrestlers MWA has ever seen?"
Dave: "Or will it be the Loose Cannon, the former MWA World Heavyweight Champion Brian Pillman battling to regain a title he never lost?"
MWA World Heavyweight Champion Batista makes his way to the ring to open the show.Batista: "I'm not here to entertain. I'm not here to talk for 20 minutes so you can cheer or boo or call me funny names that trend on Twitter. I'm here to dare the cowards that attacked me on my first night in MWA to come out here right now and face me like men."
"AWESOME"
The Miz & Damien Mizdow walk out to the stage, Mizdow is clutching a $20 plastic toy MWA Championship proudly and The Miz is wearing his $399 toy even prouder.
The Miz: "Man does it feel good to be Champion. You know Batista, I'm guessing you've finally realised what everybody else knew – you can't beat me at anything. I mean you'd have to or else you would have asked for a rematch tonight. But I guess when you're also just the second biggest Hollywood actor in this company there's just no point in challenging for what you've already lost. I mean, I'm the star of the Marine, a kick-ass action hero any man would aspire to be. You play some blue idiot supporting actor in a kids comic book movie. Yep..." Miz pats his 'Championship' proudly "I suppose you'd need to be just as stupid to think you could ever win this back from me.
Batista: "Miz you and your little miming buddy can play with your toys all you want. I'm here for a real fight and if my masked attackers won't bring the fight to me then I guess I got time to take care of you two assholes first."
Batista bursts forward leaping through the ropes, Miz pushes Mizdow down the ramp shouting "you're my stunt double dammit" before running away. Mizdow holds his hand up and backs away from Batista slowly, he realises he's still holding the toy and offers it to Batista. Batista slaps it out his hands and hits Mizdow with a right hand, kicks him in the gut & lifts Mizdow up for a Batista Bomb on the stage. Batista's music plays, he lifts up his own Championship and we cut to a break.
MWA owner Brad Maddox is in his office when Rob Van Dam walks in.RVD: "Brad I never ask for much in life, as long as I can have a good time I'm usually happy. But last week proved to me that sometimes there are some worries, sometimes you need to get serious to get what you want. Well I want Fandango & Matt Hardy to feel the pain I felt last week. I want both of them at WrestleRama and I don't care if I have to put my Intercontinental Championship on the line to get it."
Maddox: "That's an interesting challenge Rob. I have an announcement to make in a few minutes but after seeing what just happened between Batista & The Miz I think you might have what I need. I want you to tag with Batista against The Miz & Damien Mizdow. Do that and I'll consider your match proposal."Maddox: "I'm going to cut to the chase here because we've got a packed show tonight. At WrestleRama III I aim to provide a stage where the best talent in the world can compete and entertain the masses and bring MWA back to the forefront of pro wrestling. And it gives me great pride to announce yet another piece of the puzzle - the MWA Super Junior Showcase. By the end of WrestleRama one man will call themselves the best lightweight wrestler in the world."VS
Briley Pierce vs AngelicoA short but well contested match which Angelico wins thanks to a distraction from Son of Havoc.
Winner: Angelico
Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy are in the ring.Studd: "We are here to call out that son of a bitch Brad Maddox."
Bundy: "First he doesn't include me in the Contender's tournament."
Studd: "And then he puts me up against a cheater like Pillman. If I met that 'loose cannon' in a bar I'd break his smug face. Maddox holding a tournament is a joke when he's already got the two toughest S.O.Bs in MWA standing right here in this ring."
Bundy: "So now we have a demand for you Maddox. We want a title match against the MWA Tag Team Champions!"
Music plays but it isn't Brad Maddox... Onto the stage walk Gene & Ole Anderson!
Ole: "We were planning on winning back our Tag Team Championship but hearing you call yourselves the toughest S.O.Bs in MWA just rubbed ol Gene up the wrong way, ain't that right Gene."
They climb into the ring and without hesitation take the fight to Studd & Bundy. Both teams take each other on in a wild brawl, grappling is not an option here. Gene & Studd are both throwing punches in the middle of the ring with little consideration for blocking while Ole and Bundy are locked in a scuffle of forearms & punches in the corner. Brad Maddox runs out to ringside with numerous referees, road agents & security staff to try and separate the four men. They get locked in the tussle between Ole & Bundy and somehow force them through the ropes and manage to separate them on the outside. Those left inside the ring are not so lucky as attempts to stop Gene & Studd lead to even more punches being thrown. Both men have drawn blood when staff finally force them into opposite corners.
Gene has what looks like a broken nose while Studd's eye is already swollen with blood dripping down his face from a gash across his brow. Gene is forced to the outside first and together with Ole they are ushered up the ramp, Bundy & Studd have stopped resisting meaning the Andersons are faced with a wall of security. Once the Andersons have been removed Maddox orders the remaining staff members to remove Bundy & Studd but as they are walking by Studd breaks free and hits Maddox with a Lariat that lands him hard on his neck. Security restrain a laughing, bloodied Studd as Maddox lies out cold.
Titus O'Neil finds Batista in catering backstage.Titus: "Hey man I was watching earlier and realised you need some help. How about tonight you let me be your tag team partner instead of RVD and after that we become business partners and I can be your stunt double. I hear Mizdow's earning millions of dollars to protect Miz's moneymaker so figure you can pay me millions of dollars too."
Batista laughs at Titus and brushes past him without an answer. Titus grabs Batista's arm and pulls him back which pisses Batista off and he pushes him with force.
Titus: "I'm just playing man I'm just playing." but when Batista turns to walk away Titus attacks him with clubbing blows from behind. Batista falls to his knee under the force, Titus backs up down the hall and the cameras hear his trademark bark.Caristico returns to a heavily mixed reception. He suprisingly gets a microphone and the crowd quieten down. Caristico starts to speak Spanish which leads to a few boos once again.
Me costó mi máscara Mistico , me costó mi identidad."
A man stands up in the timekeeper's area with a microphone to translate Caristico's words.
Translator: “I understand why some of you boo me, I get it. I failed in my past attitude, I blew my opportunity in WWE, I blamed Rey Mysterio and ruined our friendship on Monday Night Grappling last year. It cost me my Mistico mask, it cost me my identity.”
Caristico: "Pero ahora soy un hombre nuevo. Soy Caristico y estoy aquí para demostrar a mí mismo , para demostrar al mundo entero que la sensación mexicana es sensacional . Caristico que es el mejor luchador en el planeta."
Translator: "But now I'm a new man. I am Caristico and I'm here to prove to myself, to prove to the entire world that the Mexican Sensation is sensational. That Caristico is the best luchador on the planet."
Son of Havoc & Angelico come out to interrupt Caristico.
Son of Havoc: "Caristico, you can talk all you want about your attitude being a thing of the past but your ego means that attitude will never go away."
Angelico: "As for being the best luchador in the world, why not throw your name into the Super Junior Invitational and prove to the world that the few words you say actually mean something."
The translator repeats their words to Caristico who nods along and replies.
Translator: "Caristico accepts your challenge and has vowed to win over his doubters."
Batista is backstage on his way to ringside for the tag team match when he has a run in with Pillman Pillman.Pillman: "Batista after I win tonight you'll be next. I'll get 'the great Batista' at WrestleRama and finally take back the title I didn't lose & you sure as hell didn't earn."
Batista: "I've read the rumours online Pillman, there are people that think you attacked me and though I don't think so I ain't ruling anything out. So if you win tonight I'm going to enjoy kicking the 'Loose Cannon's' ass and shutting you up for good."
Pillman looks aghast before saying "Jesus Dave..when did you learn to read? Since you're new to this let me recommend some classics that you can relate to.... there's Moby Dick..and well that's just about the most relateable title you'll get. Good luck tonight..Champ."
Pillman walks by as Batista tenses his muscles before continuing on his way. The cameras stick with Batista down the corridor as he comes across Pillman's opponent for tonight - Kazuchika Okada.Batista talks really slowly & loudly and tells the Japanese star "you're playing with the big boys now and if I ever find out that you were behind the attack then a Batista Bomb will break your back. And if you're unlucky enough to win tonight, I'll do it anyway at WrestleRama."
The other Lions of CHAOS make a move but Okada holds out his hand to stop them, points at Batista's championship and says "WrestleRama" before walking away. All of the Lions follow but Kenny Omega who stands staring at Batista before suddenly leaning in & shouting an indiscernible noise and walking away with a villainous laugh.VS
The Miz & Damien Mizdow vs Batista & Rob Van DamBoth Matt Hardy & Fandango have joined Petey & Dave on commentary, albeit they are sat at opposite ends of the table.
Mizdow starts the match with Batista but The Miz wants in. Batista doesn't attack, Mizdow tags in and The Miz seems amped up as he enters the ring. Batista tries to hit him but Miz runs out of the ring and the crowd boo. Miz poses for the crowd & Mizdow poses on the apron. Batista jumps to the outside and chases Miz around the ring until Miz slides in & immediately tags Mizdow. Batista dominates Mizdow with power moves and tags in RVD.
Matt Hardy: "What a mistake that's going to be. WHAT ARE YOU DOING BATISTA? HE HAS NO MATTITUDE!"
Fandango: "*inhales & exhales deeply* "Van Dam doesn't have the footwork to stay on top."
RVD hits Mizdow with quick kicks & finishes the combo with a roundhouse that sends Mizdow down. Rob hits a Rolling Thunder and climbs to the top rope but Miz runs over to push him off before running away from Batista.
Fandango: "See I told you Petey"
Mizdow tags in The Miz who attacks RVD on the ground to stop him reaching the corner. The match follows a pattern of Miz & Mizdow keeping RVD isolated from Batista.
Hardy: "Why does nobody listen to Mattitude. Look at RVD getting beat up by a stunt double. He's not good enough to be a champion and once I get my hands on him I will be the new Intercontinental Champion."
Fandango: "Hold on Matt. It only takes two to tango."
Hardy: "Yeah well what do you know, you're a crappy dancer anyway."
Fandango is outraged & jumps to his feet with panache. Inside the ring RVD has countered The Miz's neckbreaker and tagged in Batista. Miz makes it to Mizdow too and Batista hits Mizdow with a huge Spinebuster. Outside the ring Fandango & Hardy are shoving each other on front of the announce table; neither notice RVD climb to the top rope and he hits both men with a somersault plancha. Amidst the chaos nobody notices Titus O'Neil run down the ramp, with the referee distracted by the action on the outside Titus and Batista trade punches until Batista clotheslines Titus over the rope. The referee turns around to see The Miz tag in & quickly roll-up Batista but Batista kicks out. Miz tries to tag Mizdow but he hasn't recovered yet and is down on the outside. Miz turns around into a Batista Bomb and gets pinned.
Winner: Batista & Rob Van Dam
Brad Maddox is in his office being attended to by a physio. Maddox seems a bit groggy when Billy Graham walks in.Graham: "As MWA General Manager I'm going to enter myself in tonight's Cage Match as Okada clearly cheated against me last week."
Maddoxperks up, "you can't do that, you lost and that's that."
Graham realises Maddox is in a weakened state and keeps saying he has no choice but to take this action but Maddox keeps refusing. Graham gets angry and stands over Maddox, making sure the owner is fully aware of how much larger Graham is than him.
Graham: "Now Bradley, we don't want things getting physical here do we. Especially in your, ahem, poorly state. I'm sure your mother is a lovely lady and it would break her heart if she could see the pain you're in now. You should look after yourself because it could get.. so.. much.. worse." With each of those words Graham shoved his flexed arm into Maddox's face and the owner is starting to panic. "Oh I do hope you can think of something here Bradley, you're in pretty bad shape and I think this doctor might have to write you off and.."
Maddox: "Ok how about this. Instead of changing the cage match you could challenge for the tag titles. If your team wins then you book your place in the main event as a 2nd challenger?"
Graham smiles and says "see what a little bit of thinking does Bradley, you shouldn't be so brash in future. Believe me, the Superstar needs the spotlight for MWA to survive."VS
Billy Graham is waiting for his tag team partner found by Brad Maddox to be revealed.....
Graham & Colin Delaney vs Omega & Ibushi
Dave: "What the hell is this? Has Brad Maddox lost his mind? This chump has no business being in MWA let alone challenging for the Tag Team Championship!"
Petey: "Well Graham did say Delaney had a lot of talent before he handpicked him to be in the World Heavyweight contender's tournament. I guess Maddox is just acknowledging that talent tonight."
Dave: "Oh give me a break Petey, you know what this is. Maddox is jealous of how much the fans love the Superstar so he's trying to screw with him."Omega & Ibushi win. During the match Maddox comes out to stop Graham from cheating. While Graham is intimidating Maddox, Delaney loses the match. Cameras pick up Maddox saying "tough luck Bill, guess you're not getting that World title shot" before Graham picks Maddox up and throws him over the announce table straight into Petey & Dave.
Winner: Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi
Steel Cage Match
Kazuchika Okada vs Brian PillmanAnother gruelling match between Okada & Pillman. Towards the end Pillman is climbing the cage but is caught near the top by Okada. Okada grabs Pillman, swings his leg around & hooks his hands around the midriff before jumping backwards hitting Pillman with a huge German Suplex. Both men are down, Okada eventually covers Pillman but he kicks out leaving Okada stunned. Okada slowly makes his way back to his feet and looks to ready Pillman for a Rainmaker when a masked man jumps the barrier, and grabs a steel chair. He locks eyes with Okada and motions to throw the chair to him but the man holds on and laughs. Okada looks confused when suddenly Brian Pillman low blows Okada, the masked man tosses the chair over the cage and Pillman slowly makes his way to it. With all his might Pillman crashes the chair across Okada's back. He lays the chair down, lifts Okada up and DDT's him onto the chair before pinning him.
Winner: Brian Pillman
Ibushi, Omega, Shelley & Kushida come out but are headed off at the foot of the ramp by the masked man with a chair in hand. After a staredown Ibushi, Omega & Kushida move forward but Shelley stays behind; Shelley clubs Kushida with a vicious elbow to the back of the head, the masked man takes advantage with a chair shot to Ibushi leaving Omega 2-on-1 against Shelley & the masked man. He succumbs to the numbers game and gets sent headfirst into the cage by the masked man as Alex Shelley pounds on Kushida until his elbows draw blood. The masked man unveils himself to be Chris Sabin, he and Shelley embrace as the cage is raised and they help Pillman walk up the ramp, victorious....0 -

Match No.5 Flag Match
Giant Gonzalez w/Paul Bearer v Sgt Slaughter
We’re shown the buildup to this where Bearer announced he has disowned his two sons, The Undertaker and Kane but had travelled to dark places to find a new monster and found Giant Gonzalez in the mist of the Amazon Rainforest. Gonzalez had been a wrestler in America years previously but felt hated by the American people and in turn fueled his hatred of America and everything it stood for. Bearer challenged any American man who was brave enough to face his monster and Sgt Slaughter accepted the challenge leading to a flag match tonight.
Matthews: “The rules of this one are as follow. The Argentina flag will be in Giant Gonzalez corner whilst the American flag will be in Sgt Slaughters corner. Whoever retrieves the others flag will be declared the winner of the match.”
“Slaughter gets out the blocks strongly as he looks in the mood for a battle. Gonzalez looks a little rattled early on but soon finds his feet and manages to gain the upperhand in the contest. He’s hitting Slaughter with a series of punches and some chops to the chest. He hits Sarge with a big boot and then a chokeslam but he seems disinterested in claiming the American flag and would rather dish out more punishment much to the encouragement of Paul Bearer. Slaughter manages to jump on the Giant’s back and lock in a sleeper hold he hangs on to the sleeper despite Gonzalez trying to power out however he starts to lose conciousness and drops to his knees and this time Sarge locks in the Cobra Clutch and after a while the Giant is down and out. Slaughter goes to retrieve the Argentinian flag but Bearer is there to stop him however Sarge flattens Bearer with a right hand Slaughter is about to pull down the Argentina flag but is stopped by Giant Gonzalez who hits Sarge with a chokeslam from the top rope to the outside. Gonzalez casually walks to the other side and removes the American flag from the pole and he wins this matchup.”
In the ring afterwards Bearer takes out a lighter and sets the American flag a ablaze to very audible boos from the New York City crowd. Giant Gonzalez and Paul Bearer are laughing hysterically in the ring.

A video package airs reminding us about how this match came together. The Rock was in the ring declaring his intention on entering and winning the tournament to become the inaugural PCW World Heavyweight Champion when Rikishi and his sons The Usos layed him out in the middle of the ring. The following week Rikishi came out to explain his actions and made some controversial claims that the Rock had lost his passion for the family business, was more interested in living the high life in Hollywood and was dead to him and his family. Last week Rikishi cost the Rock his place in the semi finals of the tournament whilst accepting the challenge the Rock set the previous week Rikishi wanted his sons to be a part of the match but the Rock has antipated this and thats when Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia appeared on the ramp setting up this blood fued for Pauliemania.
“It’s the Rock who wants to start things off with Rikishi however he wants no part of the Rock so Jimmy Uso starts things off instead. Rock is laying left and rights on Jimmy and tosses Jimmy over the top rope as Rikishi and his sons gather to regroup in their corner. Johnson and Maivia head to that side and all hell breaks loose and all six man are brawling all the way across Madison Square Garden. Rock is beating seven shades of blue out of Rikishi through the crowd bouncing his head off railings and stairs. Rikishi has been busted open whilst the other four men are fighting just beside the announce table. Rock brings Rikishi back to the ring goes for the pin however the referee refuses to count as Rikishi is not the legal man. Rikishi hits Maivia with a Bonzai Drop and gets the 1 2 3.”Peter Maivia has been eliminated
“Rikishi and Rocky Johnson battle it out now and Rocky manages to lock in a Boston Crab and just as it looks like Rikishi is about to tap out Jey Uso grabs his fathers hand and places it under the bottom rope forcing Johnson to break the hold. Johnson tries to hit a Rock Bottom but Rikishi counters with a Samoan Drop tags in Jey who hits a Splash from the top rope and gets the pinfall.”Rocky Johnson has been eliminated
“All of a sudden its two v one but the Rock is not letting that faze him as he keeps fighting both men but the numbers game soon catches up with him as Rikishi and Jey disinsect the Rock with punches and kicks whilst on the ground however the Rock rallies and connects with a tornado DDT on Rikishi avoids a superkick from Jey and hits the Rock Bottom to leave this a one on one battle.”Jey Uso has been eliminated
“The Rock and Rikishi stare each other up and down the electricity in the air is palpable. The Rock lays the Smackdown on Rikishi and connects with a Spinebuster and takes off his shoulder pad but as he’s going for the People’s Elbow the Usos are back at ringside to distract him. Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia charge to the ring and beat the Usos all the way back to the back. Whilst all this is going on Rikishi has hit the Rock with a Samoan Spike a tribute to his brother the late Umaga. Rikishi goes to the middle rope for a Bonzai Drop however the Rock avoids it hits a Rock Bottom and a Peoples Elbow to end this enthralling contest.”Rikishi has been eliminated. Winners: The Rock, Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia

Tyson: “After all these years I can’t believe I’m a champion again.”
Mick Foley sneaks up behind him and rolls him up for a three count to become Hardcore Champion. Foley then jumps into the limo as it speeds away he shouts back to Tyson out of the rooftop window.
Foley: “Have a nice day.”
We’re back ringside

Diesel eventually establishes a upperhand as he hits Kennedy with a Sidewalk Slam and puts his opponent in a headlock to try take the air out of the lungs of Kennedy. Alpha IV vs. The Kings of Air
The Kings enter first. As Alpha IV enter Ricochet and Sydal waste no time and attack immediately. Its all KoA early as they use their speed and aerial agility to keep Alpha IV from regrouping. We then get Finlay and Doc sent head first into the cage 3 times each and both men are busted wide open. KoA look to be going for the kill early and both Sydal and Ricochet go to the top rope looking for stereo SSPs but while Sydal connects on Finlay, Doc was able to get his knees up to block Ricochets. Sydal goes for the pin but Doc is able to break it up.
With Ricochet down Doc drives Sydal into the cage back first. Alpha IV now begin to takeover and aggressively double team Sydal while doing enough to keep Ricochet out of the action. They continue to target Sydals back nail a double suplex, various back breaker variations and using a Boston crab. Having severely weakened Sydal they now target Ricochet. They take it in turn to lawn dart Ricochet in to the cage and as a result Ricochet is now a bloody mess. Alpha IV are cocky now believing the end is near for KoA. While Finlay works over Ricochet in the corner doc has scooped up Sydal and nails his signature Oklahoma Stampede power slam. He gets the cover 1.……..2.……..Sydal somehow kicks out.
Finlay sees this and attempts the Celtic Cross on Ricochet who wriggles free and nails a massive enziguiri. This draws Docs attention. Ricochet ducks a clothesline from Doc and KoA nail a double dropkick. Finlay is up and Ricochet runs off the ropes and Sydal launches him into the air towards Finlay and Ricochet nails a huge assisted tornado DDT. Doc is to his feet and Sydal runs and it’s a huricanrana to take him down and Ricochet flys into the picture hitting a standing SSP. He makes the cover 1.……2.……..Doc gets a shoulder up. KoA are fired up now. They pick up Doc and hit a double brain buster. Sydal makes the cover 1.……….2.………………….Finlay breaks it up.
Both teams seem to be nearing empty on the gas tanks now. Ricochet misses a super kick and Finlay nails him with a huge European uppercut. Doc is up and hit’s a lariat to the back of Sydals head. Doc hit’s a German suplex on Sydal. Finlay picks up Ricochet and is looking for the Celtic Cross and again Ricochet escapes and hit’s a reverse rana on Finlay. Doc is concentrating on Sydal and doesnt see Finlay is down. Ricochet has crawled to the top rope and seems to be setting up for the 630 but just as he stands up Doc shoots Sydal into the rope which knocks Sydal off the top and he gets his foot caught in the ropes.
Sensing his opportunity Doc grabs Sydal and hit’s a BackDrop Driver. Finlay is slowly to his feet and while groggy he has the wherewithal to pick up Sydal for the Celtic Tombstone. Ricochet is still caught in the ropes and Finlay falls into the cover 1.………….2.……………………….3
Winners ; Alpha IV Kings of Air must disband
Ricochet freed himself right at the 3. He is visibly distraught at witnessing the pinfall. He crawls over to Sydal to be beside his now former tag partner. Alpha IV meanwhile are no better off. They are both a bloody mess and both seem to have lost a considerable amount of blood. They both seem to be leaning on the ropes and each other to stand upright as the referee raises their hands and gives them their belts. Ricochet and Sydal are to their feet now as the fans applaud both teams. We get a tense stand off in the middle of the ring.
Finally, Finlay extends his hand and Doc quickly follows suit. Sydal and Ricochet seem surprised. They take a moment to consider the gesture until finally they shake the hands of Alpha IV. The fans erupt at the show of mutual respect between the now former rivals. All 4 men leave the ring together and head to the back for medical attention.
KK : Wow WHATAMATCH! Alpha IV retain but the Kings of Air truly earned their respect here tonight.
SC : The Kings of Air are no more. Im not sure I liked the whole handshake stuff though.
KK : Those 4 men just went to war. They have learned to respect the other team. It was a damn fine moment. Finlay and Doc just went up in my estimation.Booking explanation : This solidifies Alpha IV as my #1 tag team. They had a fair match with no outside interference to help them and proved they can do it on their own. Kings of Air proved their toughness just by proposing the Cage match and pushed Alpha IV to the limit. Breaking them up would allow me to push Ricochet as a huge singles star and use Sydal as the mid card high flier that the kids would love.
*Video package about the history between The Young Bucks and Austin Idol & Tommy Rich*
Scott Stanford is backstage with The Young Bucks
SS : Matt, Nick tonight you finally get your hands on Austin Idol & Tommy Rich. But Nick I have to ask how is your neck?
NJ : Scott honestly my neck isn’t fully recovered. But I’d have to be dead before I turn down the chance get my hands on these 2 jackasses tonight.
MJ : Idol & Rich. Tonight you wont be able to jump us from behind, you wont have a 2 on 1 advantage and you certainly wont ever spit on me again. Tonight we are having a party! Oh yea it’s a Young Bucks Superkick Party tonight. Invites only and unfortunately for you 2, ye are the guests of honour! The Young Bucks vs. “The Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol & “Wildfire” Tommy Rich
Idol & Rich are out first and are ready and waiting for the brothers Jackson. But in a moment of payback the Bucks emerge from the crowd and jump the Memphis legends from behind. The Bucks are men possessed as the attack Rich & Idol and when Rich & Idol retreat to the floor we get stereo suicide dives from The Bucks. The referee knowing the history between the teams seems to be allowing them some leeway to just go at it. Back in the ring The Bucks have Rich on his own and we get a double Superkick. Idol is able to grab Matt by the feet and drag him to the outside where the veteran flings him into the steel barricade. Nick is up top but he misses an attempted 450 splash when Rich moves out of the way.
Idol and Rich now get control and they zero in on Nicks injured neck. We get a series of neck breakers and some near falls as Rich & Idol continue to isolate Nick while keeping Matt away from his brother. Debra or Miss Debra as Austin Idol refers to her has now emerged onto the stage and seems very interested in the action in the ring.
This distracts Idol & Rich and allows The Bucks to fight back. We get vintage Young Bucks offence now as they build up some momentum. Then we get what the fans wanted, a SUPERKICK PARTY. The Bucks hit a succession of super kicks to both Idol & Rich. They have Rich set up for The IndyTaker but Idol yanks Matt from the ropes before he can spring off. Again Rich and Idol have Nick alone and after some high impact moves to his neck they have him set up for the patented Spike Piledriver. Idol allows himself a moment to acknowledge Debra, but this allows Matt to hit him with another super kick. Rich drops Nick from the piledriver position and misses a charge at Matt, Nick flys at Rich with a sunset flip and he gets 1.……2.…..3
Winners ; The Young Bucks
They won the battle but not the war as Idol and Rich attack The Bucks after the pinfall. Eventually Idol & Rich deliver a Spike Piledriver to both Matt & Nick. After seeing all this Debra walks away shaking her head looking unimpressed.Booking decision : After being left laying I felt the Bucks needed to win here but it was a far from decisive victory. And Idol & Rich leaving them laying after the loss still keeps them strong I feel while not taking away from The Bucks. Also the Debra, Idol & Rich story continues.6 Man Tag Team Elimination Match
Mike Awesome, Tajiri & Mikey Whipwreck vs. The Zoetic (Masato Tanaka, Barbarian & Meng) w/ Fr James Mitchell
In a recurring theme for all the matches thus far this match is out of control from the beginning and the referee is happy to allow it. The Zoetic work like a well oiled machine to take control early on focusing particularly on Mikey. Mikey tries to put up a fight but the power of Barbarian and Meng is too much and Mikey is quickly dispatched of with a vicious Double Powerbomb.
*Mikey Whipwreck is Eliminated*
Tajiri seems to take exception to his partner being pinned and he explodes into action taking out both Meng and Barbarian with vicious kicks. Awesome and Tanaka have been brawling since the very start and are now brawling through the crowd as Tajiri continues to take on The Seraphs 1 on 2. Tajiri notices that the ref is being occupied by James Mitchell and sprays red mist into Barbarians face followed by a Buzzsaw kick. Tajiri makes the pin 1.…..2.……..3
*Barbarian is Eliminated*
Meng now is upset to see his longtime partner be misted. He charges at Tajiri who avoids the charge and nails a huge roundhouse kick to Mengs head. But Meng is still standing. Mitchell slides a chair into Mengs feet. Meng smiles as he picks up the chair as the referee warns him not to use it. But Tajiri too is smiling now almost maniacally as Meng approaches him with the chair. As Meng swings towards Tajiris head, Tajiri sprays green mist into Mengs face just as the chair connects with Tajiris head and both men fall to the mat. The referee approaches the ring announcer who says both men have been disqualified.
*Double DQ Tajiri and Meng are Eliminated*
This leaves Awesome and Tanaka as the final 2 men in the match. They soon brawl their way back to ringside where Mitchell can be heard shouting encouragement in Japanese to Tanaka. Finally they are in the ring where they continue to trade blows in a back and forward encounter. Tanaka hit’s a suplex, so does Awesome. Awesome hit’s a big boot to Tanaka and Tanaka replies with the same to Awesome. Its move for move now, punch for punch. Tanaka makes some space and goes for his big Lariat finish but Awesome ducks gets a boot to Tanakas gut and powers him up for the Awesome Bomb. Mike makes the cover 1.………..2.…………….3
Winners ; Mike Awesome, Tajiri and Mikey Whipwreck.
Awesome celebrates in ring as Mitchell helps Tanaka to the back. Mitchell sarcastically applauds Awesome “Congratulations Michael. Now we will take you seriously” Mitchell says as he heads to the back.Booking decision : A big win for Mike Awesome over his long time rival Tanaka to help establish Awesome. A first major loss for The Zoetic but not a definitive one. The Awesome, Tajiri and Whipwreck feud with The Zoetic wouldn’t end here.
*We go backstage where we can see Alpha IV (Williams and Finlay) talking to Jim Ross next to an ambulance and Alpha IV are still a bloody mess*Finlay : We need to be here for Baz. We gotta……..
JR : I told you already. You BOTH need to go the hospital! I will look after Barry and make sure Lawler gets whats coming to him. Now get yourselves seen to and we can celebrate afterwards.
KK : The tag champs are on their way to hospital Steve. It seems the European Title match is gonna be a fair one on one.
SC : Didn’t you hear JR? Hes gonna make sure Lawler gets whats coming to him. Barry Windham doesn’t need Finlay and Doc so long as he has JR by his side.
KK : Well speaking of The King, Scott Stanford is standing by with The King and Debra.
SS : King we just heard Dr Death and Finlay have been sent to the hospital by JR so they wont be a factor in your match with Barry Windham. But JR will still be ringside.
JL : Them boys are lucky they are gone to the hospital now because if they interfered in my match that’s where I would have sent them. As for that piece of Oklahoma manure, well I think Debra will make sure JR is on his best behaviour tonight.
SS : Debra, I have to ask why did you go out on the stage earlier to watch the Austin Idol & Tommy Rich Young Bucks match?
Debra : Scott, Im a business woman. And Im always scouting new talent. And I enjoyed watching the…
*Idol & Rich walk into shot*
Idol : Jerry. Miss Debra, we hope you liked what you saw earlier on. We put an extra special beating on them punks just for you
Rich : We just wanna be real clear that if “The King” cant protect you from JR we will be watching on a monitor to make sure he cant harm you. Good luck Jerry, I think you are gonna need it
Idol & Rich begin to laugh as they walk away while The King looks seriously PO’ed
KK : What the heck was that all about Steve?
SC : I don’t know Kev. I have cant figure out what those two are up to but something tells me its not good for The King.
KK : Well up next its our AEPW European Title match.AEPW European Title Match
Barry Windham w/Jim Ross vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler w/Debra
Right from the off The King is the aggressor. He repeatedly ignores the referees call for a clean break. The King isn’t giving Windham a chance to breath and we get an early pinfall after a series of Lawler fist drops. Windham is bleeding now from a cut on his left eyebrow. This seems to wake Barry up who launches a vicious volley of haymakers at The King and he has him reeling. Big discuss roundhouse from Windham.
Barry is fired up now. Windham is in control now and we see a slingshot suplex followed quickly by a massive knee lift. As Barry is picking Lawler up, The King takes a shortcut and pokes Windham in the eye. The AEPW fans don’t like this and begin to boo The King. Lawler looks unimpressed as he continues to attack Windham.
KK : Listen to the fans Steve. They don’t like this side of The King.
SC : I don’t understand these idiots in Dublin. The King is just doing what he has to to win. Barry Windham just cant seem to live with The King tonight. JR doesn’t look impressed.
The King has control again and is gaining confidence. We get “vintage” Lawler offence of punches and slams. JR is now shouting across the ring at Debra. Debra makes her way around to confront JR. The referee has to leave the ring to deal with JR and Debra. As the referee is dealing with Debra JR begins motioning for somebody to come out from the back.
KK : What the heck is JR doing? Doc and Finlay arent here. Who is he motioning for?
SC : I think hes lost it Kev. Hes nuts.
Austin Idol & Tommy Rich emerge and run down to the ring while the referee is still on the outside with Debra and JR.
KK : What the hell are they doing out here? They have no business being here now!
SC : Are they working for JR now?
Lawler is on his feet now and sees Idol & Rich slide into the ring and we get a standoff between the 3 men. But then they all begin to smile. The King grabs Windham and puts him in the piledriver position as Idol & Rich both go to the top rope and we get a massive Spike Piledriver to Windham. And then all of a sudden both JR and Debra send the referee back into the ring as Lawler makes the cover 1.…..2.…….3
Winner and NEW AEPW European Champion ; Jerry “The King” Lawler
KK : What the hell was that?
SC : It was all a plan Kevin. My good they have all been in on this all along.
Idol, Rich, Debra and JR all join Lawler in the ring as we get a massive group hug. JR leans down to Barry Windham and we hear him say “Sorry Barry business is business. And Im done with your dumb ass.” The King picks up Windham again and we get another Spike Piledriver this time onto the title belt.Booking reasoning : Lawler is so much better as a heel. As soon as I got him I knew I was gonna book him in a double turn. JR made sense to start as a rival and then align with. The whole reason I drafted Idol & Rich was to use for the Lawler heel turn and give him some strong back up. Playing off their history and the whole Miss Debra stuff teasing Debra maybe turning on The King seemed like a real Memphis style thing to do. I would use Doc and Finlay agreeing to the cage match without JR as JR’s reason for turning on Alpha IV. Windham, Doc and Finlay would now be faces out to get JR for betraying them. Idol & Rich vs. Finlay and Doc would be a great tag feud too.WWGC Heavyweight Title Match
DDP w/Fr James Mitchell vs. “Y2J” Chris Jericho
Slow start to this one as DDP bails from the ring looking to frustrate Jericho. Jericho doesn’t let Pages mind games get to him as he props himself on the top rope (HBK style). Page returns to the ring and we get a face off as both men are running their mouths now. DDP slaps Jericho looking to anger Jericho and take him out of his game plan but Jericho just smiles. DDP slaps Jericho again and this sets Y2J off as he tackles DDP. And they are brawling now. Mitchell can be heard shouting both encouragement to DDP and abuse at Jericho. Y2J gains control now with some quick offence. Big spinning heel kick from Jericho, this draws Mitchell to the apron and the distraction allows DDP to attack from behind.
DDP slows things down now as he takes over. Backbreaker and tilt a whirl slam from Page. Page continues to talk at Jericho as he locks in a camel clutch. The fans rally behind Jericho but DDP cuts off a Y2J comeback. Discuss clothesline from DDP gets a 2 count. DDP seems confident now and he has Jericho up for the Diamond Death Drop but Jericho wriggles free. Jericho misses a step up enziguiri and DDP instantly hit’s a Jake Roberts DDT. He makes a cover 1.……..2.………………..KICKOUT from Jericho.
DDP finds this amusing. He shouts at Jericho to “give up”. DDP picks up Jericho who seems to be out of it, but he hits DDP with a huge slap. DDP charges at Jericho who scores a hurricanrana on Page. Jericho is fired up now. We get Jericho on off offence now with a step up enziguiri, double arm backbreaker and a single arm bulldog. Jericho is set up for the Lionsault but Mitchell is again on the apron. This draws both the referees and Jerichos attention. This allows DDP to recover and he again charges at Jericho who ducks but the referee isn’t so lucky. The ref is out as Jericho hit’s a Codebreaker on DDP and makes the cover but without a ref. The fans count 1.…..2.……..3. Mitchell is on the apron again but this time Jericho is able to hit him and Mitchell is down.
A hooded figure is in the ring but Jericho doesn’t see him. Jericho turns right around into a chair shot right to the head. The hooded man picks up DDP. And before he leaves the ring the hooded man shakes the referee awake. DDP seems surprised by all of this as Y2J crawls to his feet. DIAMOND CUTTER to Y2J. Page makes the pin and the groggy ref makes the count 1.………………..2.…………………….3
Winner and STILL WWGC Heavyweight Champion ; DDP
The hooded man has helped Fr Mitchell up and the Sinister Minister seems delighted to see this mysterious figure. Mitchell and the mystery man join DDP in the ring as Mitchell is heard saying “I knew he would come. I told you he would join us” DDP smiles as the mystery man holds up the Diamond sign to his new leader. DDP embraces the hooded man and then pulls down the hood to reveal Sabu! Sabu has joined The Zoetic.Booking reasoning : I felt The Zoetic needed to win here having lost the Elimination match earlier and not only have they won but they have gotten even stronger with the addition of Sabu. I think Sabu works better with a mouthpiece and Fr James Mitchell with a brainwashed Sabu as his ultimate weapon is a dangerous thought. Jericho has looked strong in defeat twice now to DDP and will move into a new feud with Sabu. DDP meanwhile has the title and still feels beatable but also untouchable while he has the ever growing Zoetic as his followers.Texas Death Match
Taz vs. AJ Styles
*Texas Death Match rules are similar to last man standing match. The difference is you must first pin or submit your opponent before the referee will begin the 10 count. Pinfalls and submissions count anywhere in the building*We get full formal intros here. It has a definite big fight atmosphere. The bell rings and both men circle the ring never losing eye contact until they both charge to the centre and begin trading punches. Its blow for blow but Taz begins to rock AJ 2,3,4,5 unanswered Taz punches and Taz capitalises and hits an overhead belly to belly suplex. AJ is up and charges at Taz again and again its blow for blow, punch for punch but now its AJ with the unanswered punches 3,4,5,6,7 punches and then a discuss clothesline from AJ. But Taz is straight back to his feet. The AEPW fans are going insane at this.
AJ throws a right hand but Taz catches his arm and we get a head and arm TazPlex. AJ stays done. Taz has control now and begins to focus his attack on AJ neck. Big series of TazPlexs and neck breakers. Taz goes behind AJ and hit’s a huge Tiger Suplex high on AJ neck. Taz makes the cover 1.….2.….3.
AJ now has 10 seconds to get back to his feet. 1.………2.……..3.………AJ is stirring now 4.……….Taz walks over and begins to ground and pound AJ thus breaking the referees count. AJ has been cut by one of Tazs punches and blood begins to trickle down his forehead. Taz zeroes in on the cut and continues to punch Styles in the head.
Taz leaves the ring and pulls 2 tables and 2 chairs from under the ring. He slides both chairs and one table into the ring before setting up one of the tables outside the ring. This delay by Taz has allowed AJ to recover and he flys at Taz with a Thesz press followed by some rapid fire punches. Taz throws AJ off but as he stands up AJ has a chair and buries it into Tazs head and the Brooklyn thug goes down. AJ leaves the ring now and retrieves a ladder from under the ring.
AJ is back in and sets the ladder up in one corner before propping the table up in the opposite corner. Taz is up and is cut wide open from the chair shot. AJ with the PELE kick and follows with the pin 1.…….2.……3. Taz is now facing the referees count. 1.……..2.………3.……….4.….Taz is stirring…..5.……..6.…Taz is to a knee……7...AJ flies at Taz with a shining wizard. AJ is in total control now. AJ goes to the apron and is setting up for the Phenomenal Forearm. Taz ducks and AJ flies all the way across the mat before rolling out to the floor.
Taz recovers in the ring before AJ pulls himself back to the apron where Taz meets him with a huge right before suplexing AJ back into the ring. Taz sees the table in the corner and seems to get a momentary rush of adrenaline. Taz drags AJ towards the corner. He picks up AJ, grabs him from behind and it’s a Dragon TazPlex through the table! Cover from Taz 1.……2.…….3. And the referee begins his count 1.…….2.………..3.……….AJ hasn’t moved..4.……..AJ leg begins to move…5.………now his arms have moved slightly…….6.……………..7.…………still no sign of AJ standing…8.…………AJ begins to roll…….9.………………..AJ rolls out of the ring and is standing on the ringside floor, barely. Taz is in shock. Taz rolls out and forces AJ back into the ring without much fight from AJ. Taz seems pissed now and he is shouting at AJ to get up. AJ is up but Taz locks in the Tazmission! AJ is struggling but begins to fade quickly. Taz realising this smiles and says its over. TAZMISSIONPLEX. Taz makes the pin 1.…….2.………3. AJ leg is twitching. 1.………..2.………….3.………AJ is moving…….4.……….5.………..AJ is dragging himself towards the nearest corner….6.…………………7.………….AJ is to a knee…………8.………..hes on both knees now……….9.…………….AJ barely makes it to his feet. But he instantly falls again. Taz cant believe his eyes.
AJ again pulls himself up. Taz is now in his face shouting “ITS OVER AJ! STAY DOWN!! YOU ARE DONE” AJ does the bring it motion. Taz shakes his head in disbelief. Taz throws a right hand that AJ somehow blocks. AJ is throwing punches now. Taz is wobbling, but so is AJ. PELE kick outta nowhere. AJ crawls to the apron. Taz is to his feet but he is wobbling after losing a huge amount of blood. PHENOMENAL FOREARM from AJ and Taz is down. AJ somehow has the energy to pick up Taz. STYLES CLASH to Taz. AJ rolls into the cover 1.………2.………3. The referee is counting again 1.…………2.………..3.…..Taz is moving………4.………….5.……….Taz is at he ropes now……..6.……….he is struggling to pull himself up……..7.………….8.…………….Taz slips………9.………….He is able to recover in time to stand up. AJ flies at him with a cross body block sending them both to the outside.
AJ is first to his feet. But Taz isn’t far behind and just like the opening exchange its punch for punch now with neither man gaining the advantage. Both men have lost a tonne of blood, both are wobbling and barely standing after each blow. AJ begins to gain control with some unanswered punches and again a PELE KICK outta nowhere and Taz is down. AJ is up but doesn’t make the cover. He sees the table Taz set up earlier. AJ puts Taz onto the table outside the ring. AJ slides into the ring. The fans are to their feet. AJ blesses himself and lets out a roar before launching into a SPRINGBOARD 450 FROM THE RING TO THE OUTSIDE. AJ crashes into Taz and through the table. AJ is on top of Taz and the referee makes the count 1.………2.…………3. The referee counts and the fans count alongside him 1.…………….2.……………….3.………………..4.………….Neither man has moved an inch…5.………………6.…………….Still no movement…..7.………………….8.………….Still nothing…….9.……………………..10
Neither man has moved as the referee finishes his count. But as AJ pinned Taz prior to the count it doesn’t matter that he stayed down.
Winner ; AJ Styles
Neither man has moved and both are receiving medical attention as the PPV ends.Booking reasoning : AJ gets his revenge on Taz for the attack at the previous PPV. I think both men looked strong in the match and showed resilience and toughness. It took a holy sh*t moment from AJ to finally keep Taz down while also keeping himself down. Going forward I would have Taz in more of a tweener role and AJ would move into a feud with DDP.0 -

Owen Hart vs. Tyson Kidd
Owen was the previous LWE WHC champ but lost his title and rematch to Christian. Owen's Hart Attack stable consisted of Teddy, Davey, David Jnr, Jim Neidhart, Natalya, Layla and Tyson. Owen keeps ribbing on Tyson saying his isn't a true Hart and never could be as good a wrestler as him. Owen even blames Tyson for him losing his title as he wanted them all to attack Christian before the rematch. In a battle royal for new number 1 contender for LWE WHC title, Hart Attack are cleaning house to help Owen win but Tyson eliminates him. Owen with Jim pulls Tyson out and battles him outside. Tyson beats Jim the following week and again is attacked by Owen after the match. Hart Attack all turn against Tyson even Natayla who asks for a divorce. Tyson challenges Owen to a match which Owen refuses unless Tyson defeats Teddy and David Jnr in a handicap match which Tyson does. Tyson chooses a 2 out of 3 falls match as he is allowed choose the match after he also beats David Snr in a non title match thanks to Barrett's interference.
At the ppv Jim will have left Hart Attack, Owen will win the first fall by submission the sharpshooter, Owen comes close to winning the second fall after many suplexs but Tyson fights back and wins by roll up. Natayla comes down and is cheering on Owen. Teddy with his new title also comes down to cheer on Owen but David Jnr comes and they battle all the way to the back until security breaks it up. Owen is laughing as he can see how much of a beaten Tyson is taking, he fakes going for a pin a few times. Natayla laughs and even slaps Tyson when he gets throw outside. Owen misses a diving headbutt and this gives Tyson time to get back in the match. The ref sends Natayla to the back as she tries to interfere with Shatner coming out telling her she will lose her title and not be in the match later is he don't leave which she does. LWE WHC Title Match - Ladder Match
Christian (C) Vs. Dolph Ziggler Vs. Nigel McGuinness
Christian has a stalker, someone is watching him in the dressing room, taking stuff from his gear bag, breaking into his house, taking hair from his comb and rubbish from his bin. Ziggler has been goading Christian asking for a title match so Christian thinks it is part of Ziggler's game plan to get into his head to get a match but McGuinness is the No. 1 contender after winning the battle royal. Christian goes to speak to Liz the GM but once there she locks the door and starts smelling him. He sees all his missing stuff in a shrine she has to him. She says she loves him and is his number one peep. Christian freaked out gets out of the office and Liz is arrested so Shatner is made temporary GM. Ziggler laughs when he hears and attacks Christian. Ziggler challenges McGuinness to a match for his No. 1 contender opportunity but Christian attacks Ziggler during the match so all three will face off at the ppv as made by Shatner.
At the ppv, Ziggler attacks both McGuinness and Christian with the ladder, and goes to climb early on but gets stopped. Christian thinks he sees many Liz lookalikes in the crowd which there is as arranged by Ziggler. McGuinness is now dominating and goes to climb but is pushed off by Christian who is finding it hard to concentrate with all the stalker lookalikes in the crowd. Everywhere he looks around he sees one. Ziggler is back up and takes Christian out. Ziggler also throws a ladder twice on McGuinness who is now outside to keep him down. Ziggler then goes to climb when one Liz enters to the ring and pushes him off to the outside. Liz goes to check on Christian and helps him up. Christian is freaked out but takes a ladder and climbs to retain his title. Liz watches from the ramp and is revealed to be William Shatner out. Christian looks on confused from the ring as does Ziggler from outside the ring.

MWA Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
Matt Hardy v1 vs Fandango vs Rob Van DamDuring the match Fandango hits Matt Hardy with a Leg Drop off the top of the ladder, Matt hits RVD with a Twist of Fate off the ladder and RVD hits Fandango with Rolling Thunder on the ladder.
Finish – Rob Van Dam & Fandango are fighting over the ladder on the outside when RVD hits Fandango with a roundhouse kick which causes Fandango to stumble back onto the announce table. RVD looks from Fandango to the ladder and back and the crowd cheer as he sets up the ladder on the outside. RVD climbs to the top, pauses for a "Rob Van Dam" chant before jumping for a 5 Star Frog Splash from the top of the ladder to Fandango on the announce table but Fandango moves at the last second. RVD crashes through the table and Fandango starts to smile, realising he was nearly part of the wreckage. Fandango slowly makes his way to the ladder and takes it down to slide into the ring. Suddenly Matt Hardy baseball slides the ladder into Fandango sending him to the ground. Matt realises he's the only man left standing and tries to set up the ladder. He repositions it a couple of times before he starts to climb. Fandango gets a burst of energy and quickly gets back in the ring and up the other side of the ladder. He and Hardy are trading punches, Hardy takes control by smashing Fandango's head off the ladder. He grabs Fandango's head, does the V1 sign his hand and attempts another Twist of Fate but Fandango holds onto the ladder and pushes Hardy's jumping back sending him down the mat. Fandango is clinging onto the ladder which is teetering until he manages to balance himself on the 3rd from top rung. He reaches for the title but can only get his fingertips on it. He climbs another rung, breathing heavily, and reaches up again and grabs the title. He pulls the belt and falls from the ladder, Championship gold in hand. Fandango is the new MWA Intercontinental Champion.
Winner: FandangoVS
MWA Tag Team Championship Match
Motor City Machine Guns vs Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi (c)Kenny Omega is the only fit person in this match. Shelley & Sabin are carrying the kendo stick wounds Omega's earlier attack while Ibushi is in a very bad way wearing a protective mask that doesn't quite fit properly. Commentary question whether this mask is doing more harm than good and this seems accurate after a dropkick from Sabin causes blood to spurt from his nose once more.
Finish – Kenny Omega hits Chris Sabin with Croyt's Wrath to win the match. Omega & Ibushi have retained the MWA Tag Team Championship.
Winner: Kenny Omega & Kota IbushiVS

MWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kazuchika Okada vs Brian Pillman vs Batista (c)The bell rings and all three men exchange strikes, Okada gets kicked to the outside and the fight continues between Pillman & Batista, Okada throws Pillman out and fights alone with Batista and Pillman does the same to Batista. Batista pauses on the outside as Okada & Pillman are taking lumps out of each other until he runs in and takes both of them down with a double shoulder block.
Notable Moments – Batista targets Okada's back at every opportunity; knees to the back, throwing Okada into the barricade. The biggest attack was a Batista Bomb on the outside. Pillman throws caution to the wind on a number of occasions including a leap over the top rope taking out both men.
Finish – Okada is building up steam and hits a German Suplex on Pillman which sends him rolling out of the ring. He and Batista are exchanging strikes, Batista knees Okada's stomach and whips him off the ropes into a Spinebuster. Batista is feeling it and takes in the mixed reaction from the crowd before picking Okada up. He puts Okada between his legs and mocks Okada by doing his signature pose before lifting him up for a Batista Bomb..but Okada fights back with punches to the head and gets dropped onto his feet. Batista swings for Okada who ducks & grabs Batista's wrist. Okada swings for a lariat but Batista ducks, Okada kept the wrist locked as he ran behind Batista. Batista swings back an elbow which Okada dodges, turns and swings Batista into a Rainmaker. He covers Batista. 1....2.... Brian Pillman breaks the pinfall with a split second to spare, he DDTs Okada and kicks him to the outside. He drags Batista to the rope and steps onto the apron. He reaches through the rope to pick Batista up slowly, pushes a groggy Batista backwards and jumps for Air Pillman which connects stiffly. Pillman hooks the leg. 1....2.....3. Brian Pillman has become a two-time MWA World Heavyweight Champion
Winner: Brian Pillman
Fallout/Booking Reasons
Okada vs Pillman vs Batista - Pillman wins back the title he never lost but is now a completely fresh heel champion, something MWA has never closed WrestleRama with before. He pinned Batista because Batista would be leaving for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Okada will be making a charge as lead babyface in the company. Pillman has destroyed everything Okada had built for – he finally got his title shot and lost without involvement, he brought in a group from Japan and led them to dominance only for Pillman to tear them apart. I would have Pillman vs Okada dominate most of the year.
Omega & Ibushi vs MCMG - The only title to be retained. MCMG will get another chance and win as Omega and Ibushi's team fails to recover from Omega's actions. Omega will attempt to overthrow Okada in his newly weakened state but Ibushi will stand by the former King Lion. Omega will become increasingly erratic, adopt a comic book villain persona and will never get over what he sees as Ibushi's ultimate betrayal.
Hardy vs Fandango vs RVD - I had planned on this just being RVD & Hardy but never expected to get Fandango in the final round. I hope all 3 of them would come out of this match looking good and Fandango winning would keep his momentum going after debuting. RVD can get involved in the main event scene while Hardy would keep up the chase for the IC title.
Team Graham vs Team Maddox - Maddox has only been the owner for 4 weeks so more upheaval is unnecessary. With a team like the Andersons picking up the win it neither overpushes Maddox nor makes Superstar look like a geek. I wanted to carry on the strong booking of the Anderson I had last year and think this would position them as the perfect opponents to take on Motor City Machine Guns down the line. If Graham ever returned he would use Maddox tapping out as his reason.
Miz vs Sandow - I wanted to do so much more with this feud but unfortunately didn't get the chance. Their feud would continue but I felt it was more important to further The Miz's heat here as he could potentially carry on feuding with Batista. Sandow can earn his win after being booked strongly for a number of months.
Junior Invitational - I had wanted to do something like this since the beginning, couldn't believe it when WWE announced something similar for the network. I had planned on it being bigger but towards the end I needed Studd, Bundy & the Andersons more. Caristico had to win here as he would be the only one definitely staying on the roster afterwards and would likely make his way to an Intercontinental title shot.
Kushida vs Shelley - Shelley pulling double duty gave MCMG the perfect excuse for losing later on but winning here gives him a strong showing overall. They were originally planned for the Junior Invitational but I needed more singles matches once the IC match became a triple threat.0 -
John Laurinaitis and Xavier Woods are in the GM’s office. Johnny is pacing around and looks nervous.
Johnny Ace: That meeting went okay?
Woods: Absolutely, everything without a hitch!
Bart Gunn enters, barging past Woods
Gunn:Outta my way you pipsqueak! All set for tonight boss? It’s shaping up to be good!
Johnny: Hey, leave the kid alone! Thanks to him, everything is in place for tonight!
Gunn: Oh, is that so?!? (He makes to leave) I’ll just float around in that case, take it easy…KID.
(He barges past Xavier again, who looks a little disgruntled.)
Woods: I’m telling you sir, all that’s left to do is just sit back and relax.
Johnny: Good, I hope so.
Porallo: You’re all very welcome here tonight! I would like to thank 10 Years for contributing that haunting version of Wasteland for our theme this evening! We are in the Windy City, Chicago for our special event…HCE’s Cheddarama! The night where we truly put on a show!
Burke: Chi-Town baby!! This crowd is rocking, and I’m sure they can’t wait to see what we have in store!
Mortell: If I were a betting man, I would say most people are here for the meeting of Rollins & Steamboat. First time ever, and man are they in for a treat!
Sean O’Haire and Mike Sharpe stride their way down the ramp, where the crowd explodes chanting “SHARPE! SHARPE! SHARPE!” Sharpe waves to the crowd, while O’Haire just remains motionless, walking to the ring with purpose. This is contrasted by the large figures of D’Lo Brown, Godfather and Mark Henry who walk sullenly to the ring to a torrent of boos, with the Chicago crowd chanting obscenities at the men.
They get into the ring and square up to the two men, who do not back down whatsoever. In contrast to the other four, Iron Mike looks noticeably uncomfortable at having to tango, but he doesn’t let that deter him, as he shows all his resilience by laughing in the trio’s faces! This gets the crowd behind him even more!
D’Lo Brown, The Godfather & Mark Henry vs ‘Iron’ Mike Sharpe & Sean O’Haire
The bell rings, and it looks like D’Lo Brown starting off against Mike. They lock up, only for Mike to surprisingly get the upper hand! He throws him off the ropes and hits a wicked clothesline, which the crowd cheers for! He’s getting fired up and takes a run at D’Lo, only for him to duck the second clothesline. His momentum takes him over to the other turnbuckle, where Mark Henry hits him with a fierce right hand, knocking him to the ground. D’Lo tags in Godfather, and they both work on Sharpe with a double suplex! Godfather covers, but only gets a 2 count. He tags back in D’Lo, who hits a right, a left and then hits Sharpe with an elbow. Covers again, but still just a two count. The crowd are willing on Sharpe, as D’Lo gets him into an Abdominal Stretch. O’Haire is clapping his hands willing his partner to get the tag! Sharpe manages to reverse, and hits a desperation DDT on D’Lo.
Both men are now crawling to their corners, and Sharpe is inching desperately, almost…
But O’Haire takes away his hand and drops down to the ground at the last second! Sharpe has a confused look on his face, as O’Haire looks him in the eye and shouts “This was never going to work, I’m not telling you anything that you don’t already know!”
Porallo: Can anyone say that they are surprised by this?!?
Burke: My man Sean doesn’t just hang with anybody, you’ve got to be worthy of him! This clown Sharpe never was!
O’Haire walks back up the ramp to boos from the crowd. Sharpe is left all alone, and can only crawl back to his feet. As he does, he is met by Mark Henry who has been tagged in, who clubs him to the ground again. He hoists him up, and drives him to the ground with the World’s Strongest Slam. Again, he simply puts a hand on his face as the ref counts the 1….2…..3.
Winners:D’Lo Brown, The Godfather & Mark Henry
Porallo: The crowd are certainly not happy with that!
Mortell: And rightly so! A despicable show of cowardice from O’Haire!
Burke: Hold up a second, the guy was just sticking to his principles! And I certainly didn’t see him being pinned in the middle of the ring like a chump?!? So quit whining you two!Ricky Steamboat is backstage with an interviewer, Kalisto Flockhart. She asks him how he feels about the main event tonight, in what is sure to be a brutal contest. Ricky looks back coldly, advising that he will be surprised if either of them are able to walk out of the arena unassisted tonight. With that, he walks off, leaving Flockhart bemused.
Porallo: Listen to this ovation for Roderick Strong! Finally back after being out for the last couple weeks, caused by our current Television Champion!
Mortell: Damn right Eric! Peter Morton damn near took his head off with a golf club en route to winning Strong’s title, and he’s been out up until last week!
Burke: Wah wah wah, such crybabies! In this business all is fair!
Strong gets into the ring and poses on each turnbuckle for the fans, with each section cheering louder than the last. He runs the ropes while he’s waiting for his opponent to come out.
The crowd erupts into an echo of boos, as Morton comes out dressed in white slacks, and a green jacket, which on the back has emblazoned on it “ALL-TIME GREATEST”. Carrying a putter over his shoulder, Carl Collins greets the crowd sarcastically, as they strut down the ramp and into the ring. Strong never takes his eyes off them, as Morton gets undressed and holds the TV title high above his head, taunting Strong.
HCE Television Championship – Roderick Strong vs Peter Morton
The match begins with the two locking up and attempting to gain the upper hand in the middle of the ring. Morton appears the stronger, and pushes Strong against the ropes, only for him to duck his clothesline and pause against the opposite ropes. The crowd start clapping for what they know will be an enthralling contest. They lock up again, only this time it is Strong who gets the upper hand, going around the back of Morton and getting a leg take down, and then gripping him in a ground head lock. Quickly, Morton desperately puts his right foot backwards onto the bottom rope, forcing the ref to break the hold. As he does this, Morton rolls out of the ring in order to get a breather.
Burke: Great strategy by Pete, keeping Roderick second guessing!
Porallo: What? By running away at the first sign of trouble!
Strong follows him out of the ring, bypassing Carl Collins who throws his hands up in the air to protest his innocence for the bout. Picking up Morton by the hair, he drags him towards the steel steps, and bounces his head off them once, and then twice for good measure! The ref however is focused on Collins however, who is showing him the benefits of a long grip with the putter as opposed to the conventional short grip. While this distraction is going on, Morton is able to hit a low blow with his heel, and gain the upper hand. He throws Strong into the barricade, and poses to the fans before hitting a pretty running knee lift. He rolls him back into the ring, and hits the cover for the 1…2….kickout!!!
Morton has a wry smile to himself, and rolls him over. He takes a run back and launching himself into the air, hits a Carribbean Cannonball, or as he can be heard saying after he gets up…the rechristened ‘Club Head Cannonball’. He again goes for the lateral press, as the ref counts….1….2……at the last second, Strong gets the shoulder up!
Morton looks slightly frustrated now, as the crowd starts cheering for Strong to get back into it. Morton engages in a rest hold, as Strong appears to be fading. The referee holds up Strong’s hand, and lets it drop, but Strong keeps it upright, he’s still in the match! The crowd starts cheering as he gets back to his feet, and starts hitting desperation rights and lefts to the face of Morton. Rebounding off the ropes, he hits a huge jumping lariat, as both men are knocked to the ground. As they get upright again, he hits a beautiful drop kick, which sends Morton to the ground again, and he follows it up with a discus elbow smash. He covers Morton, 1…..2………..thr, no! Morton just about got the shoulder up! Strong senses that the end could be near, and he lines him up for the Death by Roderick, but Collins is on the apron and manages to pull Morton down, who rolls away! The ref goes over to remonstrate with Collins, and as his back is turned, Morton shunts Strong in the stomach with the putter, and then follows up with a DDT! He covers Strong and throws the putter out of the ring as the ref turns around for the 1…..2……….NO! SHOULDER UP BY STRONG!
Mortell: What a match! Come on Roderick!
Morton cannot believe this and starts giving out to the ref. As he is doing this, he does not notice Strong slowly getting back to his feet in the centre of the ring. He turns around, and Strong launches himself onto Morton’s shoulders to hit a hurricanrana….but Morton counters by falling to the ground, and putting Strong’s shoulders to the mat with his head between his legs. He attempts to put his feet on the bottom rope for leverage but can’t quite seem to get there, until Carl Collins pulls them on and holds them there with the trusty putter! The ref doesn’t see this as Strong’s body position is obstructing his view, and he counts the pin attempt; 1….2………….3!
Winner:AND STIIIIIIIIIIL HCE TELEVISION CHAMPION…PETER MORTON
Morton rolls out of the ring, as Collins brings him his championship, holding it aloft in the air. They celebrate wildly with delight, as Strong looks despondent in the ring. He knows what has happened, but can’t bring himself to argue the decision with the ref.
Porallo: Shameful! And look, he’s celebrating as if he dominated this contest!
Burke: It just goes to show, that for all the talent in the world that you may have, you need a world class caddy to help you achieve greatness! And that’s just what Carl Collins is, world class!
Morton and Collins are up the ramp now, and again turn and hold the championship aloft to the dismay of the fans. They taunt Strong one last time, before they walk to the back.0 -
Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami walk out to the ring to a huge ovation from the fans. They acknowledge most of the crowd they encounter and shake hands on their way.
MNM walk out to a mixed reaction, given Morrison and Mercury’s fairly high level of popularity. Melina enters the ring with her trademark splits spot, which gets a good reaction including a lot of wolf-whistling. They take off their titles and hand them to the ref, who holds them up into the air to signal the start of the contest.
Porallo: This match was borne out of MNM’s jealousy of Inoki & Fujinami, who were establishing themselves as the premier tag team here in HCE. They’d hit them with sneak attacks most weeks leading up to tonight.
Burke: Are you on drugs? Those Shinto wackos were making it clear they were coming after their championships, so they did what any champions worth their salt would do…assert their dominance! Such sanctimonious bullsh*t!
HCE Tag Team Championship – MNM vs Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami
Inoki and Mercury start, where they lock up several times with neither quite getting the upper hand. A shoulder block from Inoki grounds Mercury, and Inoki gets to work. After having him down for a few minutes, he tags in Fujinami. Fujinami’s rough style gets the crowd going, as he chops Mercury incessantly, until a distraction from Melina causes MNM to gain control, as Morrison is tagged in. He hits some nice looking dropkicks, and covers for a 2 count. He tags back in Mercury, who hits a nice snap DDT, again only for a 2 count. The crowd are willing Fujinami to make the tag, and he keeps having a lot of near misses as MNM remain in control.
Mercury has a rest hold applied, and Fujinami just about gets to his feet in a great feat of strength. He hoists Mercury up, and hits a shuddering press slam, and falls to his feet at the same time. Struggling to the corner, he reaches out….and MAKES THE TAG! Inoki is in!
Inoki clears house with wicked clotheslines, and is getting the crowd fired up. He hits a diving knee drop on Mercury, and measures him for a perfect Enzugiri, covers for the 1…..2…..and Melina pulls the ref out of the ring, to huge boos from the crowd! Inoki follows her out, and she slaps him across the face! Inoki follows this up by restraining her, only for Morrison to hit a vicious elbow from behind. Rolling him back into the ring, him and Mercury hoist him up for the Snapshot…only for Inoki to counter with a falling DDT to Mercury, with the momentum of the reversal pushing Morrison back towards the ropes….only for Fujinami to pull it down on the outside causing both men to collide with one another! The two begin brawling, while the two legal men…Inoki & Mercury remain inside! Inoki is feeling it now…and hoists Mercury up for his bridging fallaway slam, with some mustard…right to the canvas! In the middle of the ring, it’s all clear as he covers and the ref counts the 1……2…………3!!!!!!!!!
Winners:AAAAANNNNND NNNNNNNEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW TAG TEAM CHAMPIOOOOOOONSSSSSS….ANTONIO INOKI & TATSUMI FUJINAMI!!!!
Inoki jumps up and down in the ring, as joined by Fujinami, they are presented with the tag team championships!!!!
Porallo: What a moment for these two legends of wrestling, they’ve done it! After all the sneak attacks and underhanded moves, they’ve reached the top of the tag team mountain!
Mortell: I know these two a long time, and I cannot describe how much this means to them…
Burke: When push came to shove, they got the job done. And you can’t argue with that!As Inoki & Fujinami walk to the back, they see an unexpected sight; the body of Bart Gunn lying face down on the ground, covered in a pool of his own blood. It is here that they are met by John Laurinaitis who is walking down the hallway at the same moment.
Johnny: What the hell? You two did this?!?!?
Fujinami: No no no! No us! We…match, we…no.1
Johnny: There’s not a chance that I’m having my own wrestlers injure my staff any longer! The two of you can celebrate elsewhere, because I want you out of my arena for the rest of the night!
Inoki: But…but….Mister Ace…but….
Johnny: YOU HEARD ME….GET OUT!!!!
The crowd can be heard booing, as Inoki & Fujinami resign themselves to leaving. They can be seen going out the exit, while Johnny looks on, wondering what will he do with his badly injured head of security.Buddy Rogers and his crew are in the locker room, getting ready for the intercontinental title match with Jay Lethal which is up next.
Buddy: We’ve got to stick together tonight. My intercontinental title is on the line, so we cannot afford to be making any mistakes…DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR??
(Buddy is really focusing his attention on Shelton Benjamin as he says this)
Benjamin: Yes sir.
Buddy: Well there had better be. Because you my man, have been nothing but a disappointment to all of us. I am the intercontinental champion. Terkay is one of the most highly respected MMA competitors on the planet. Rich is going to be the future of this industry. But you? You? You have been nothing but a piece of crap under my boot. Because of YOU…I was eliminated from the Battle Royal for the World title. Because of YOU…I now have to put my Intercontinental title on the line. Because of YOU…my life has been made more difficult. Only for Terkay and Rich talking me down the other day…I was strongly considering beating the hell out of you and kicking you out of this organisation. In fact, I don’t even know why I listened to them. You have some serious grovelling and making up to do, because if things don’t change soon, you’ll have to punch your card somewhere else. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?
Benjamin:……yes sir.
Buddy: Good…because one more mistake, and you can kiss your ass goodbye. In fact, I do not want you accompanying us tonight. You can stay back here. Come on guys, it’s show time.
Jay Lethal walks out to cheers from the crowd. He holds his hands up to his ear to let it all wash in, and then struts down to the ring.
A diamond spotlight once more appears, but it is noticeable that there is no Shelton Benjamin present with Buddy. The crowd boos the trio, but all Buddy does is shout “Shut up” at anyone who engages with him. He removes his jacket once in the ring, and slicks his hair back as the title is removed from around his waist.
HCE Intercontinental Championship – Buddy Rogers vs Jay Lethal
Lethal runs towards Buddy, who immediately puts himself between the ropes to signal a break. This happens 3-4 times, before Buddy leaves the ring to compose himself. The crowd boos all this time, as Buddy simply puts his hands up in the air in a show of confidence. Walking back up the steps, he directs Terkay and Swann to get up on either side of the apron to surround Lethal. They then fake getting in, which enables Buddy to attack Jay from behind.
Burke: It’s all too easy for the true Nature Boy!!!
Mortell: Give it a rest!
Buddy stomps on Jay, while the crowd boos at the underhandedness involved in him getting control of the match. He picks him up and throws him down with a bodyslam, flexing and preening after he does this. He puts one foot on the chest of Jay for a cover, which Jay kicks out of at 1. He raises his hands as if to say ‘Fair enough’ and begins hammering away at Jay again. However, Jay blocks these attacks, and begins hitting back with rights of his own, to the crowd’s delight. He hits a strong European uppercut, before throwing a nice hip toss, followed by a cartwheel followed by a dropkick to Buddy’s face. He starts wooooing, which the crowd love and respond with WOO’s of their own!!!
At this point, Terkay & Swann get up on the apron again only this time, the ref has had enough and gestures for them to leave ringside! The crowd cheers loudly as they both remonstrate with the ref. He is having none of it, and again instructs them to leave. They turn and walk up the ramp, while the crowd begins chanting “NA NA NA NA! NA NA NA NA! HEY HEY HEY….GOODBYE!”
Porallo: With Lethal’s friends Inoki & Fujinami unceremoniously ejected from the arena tonight by our general manager, it’s good that the odds here have been evened up! Those two were going to cause nothing but trouble anyhow!
Burke: They are merely Buddy’s valets. If he needs sweat to be wiped off his brow, or given a swig of water, that’s what they are there for. You can’t expect the longest reigning Intercontinental champion in HCE history to have to do these things himself?
Mortell: I reckon if they ever find different jobs, you’ll slot in no problem loverboy!
Buddy is incensed by seeing his two crew members leaving, and it is now truly a fair contest. The two begin hammering away at each other, and hit each other alternately with knife edge chops, each one bringing about a WOO from the crowd! Jay gains the upper hand, and hits Buddy with a beautiful release dragon suplex, and goes up top waiting for Buddy to stir. As he gets up and turns, Jay jumps to hit his diving leg lariat, but at the last second Buddy pushes the ref into his path, knocking him out cold. As Jay gets back up, Buddy is lying in wait and hits a wicked low blow!
The crowd boos, as Buddy is now firmly in control. He gestures to the fans and makes the title motion around his waist, suggesting that his status as champion is going nowhere. He picks up Jay once more, going for a piledriver….however Jay reverses and tosses Buddy over his shoulder to the canvas. With all his energy effectively depleted, he falls to his knees trying to desperately gain some recovery. It is at this point, the crowd begin cheering, as Shelton Benjamin makes his way down the ramp.
Burke: That idiot! He’s not supposed to be here, he was given strict orders by Naitch to stay in the back!
Shelton enters just as Buddy is getting back up. With Buddy and Jay both just about up and standing, a crucial standoff occurs. Buddy begins screaming at Shelton to finish off Jay quickly, as the ref is starting to come to. Shelton lines up Jay….ONLY TO TURN AND NAIL BUDDY WITH A SUPER KICK!!! The crowd cheers wild with delight to see the Nature Boy finally get what’s been coming to him!
Burke: NO!! YOU IDIOT! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!?
Porallo: I’d call it payback for the way that Buddy has been treating him this whole time! You can’t treat people like dirt and expect to get away with it!
The crowd are cheering now as Buddy is out cold. Jay is back to his feet, but before he can register what has gone on, Shelton suddenly turns and plants him to the mat with a T-Bone suplex. He looks torn and frustrated, but eventually after a second of thought, he drags Buddy towards Lethal and places him on top of him for the cover. He rolls out of the ring and back up the ramp to boos from the crowd, but it is quite evident that he is truly conflicted and not at ease with what he has done. The ref stirs and is surprised to see no action, but the two wrestlers fallen. The position sees Buddy pinning Lethal, and neither men are moving. The ref raises his hand in the air and counts the 1….2….3.
Winner:AAAAAANNNNNND STTTTTIIIIIIIIIIILLLLL INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION….BUDDY ROGERS!!!!!
Porallo: After all that, he still allows that snake Buddy Rogers to walk out of here with his championship intact! A very lucky escape!
Mortell: The Nature Boy lives to fight another day, but it was clear to see how uncomfortable Shelton was doing it! He obviously felt that incurring the wrath of Buddy and being kicked out of the crew just wasn’t worth turning on him!
Burke: Nonsense. He fell in line because Buddy is the greatest leader and wrestler of a generation. And now, he continues to cement himself as the greatest Intercontinental champion in company history. What a fighter!
Lethal remains in the ring, while Buddy has slowly rolled to the outside. He is joined again by Terkay and Swann who have made their way out to the ring. They pick him up and together they carry him up the ramp with the title. Benjamin remains at the top, and they pat him on the back as they pass him. Benjamin again has a look of remorse on his face, but resigns himself as he turns and follows them back to the locker room.Porallo: And now folks, it’s the one we’ve all been waiting for: The hotly anticipated first ever meeting of Seth Rollins and Ricky Steamboat. Throughout the past couple of weeks, Seth had been making claims that he was the deserving recipient of the World Heavyweight Championship, while saying that Ricky was a has been who did not deserve to be uttered in the same breath as himself.
Mortell: Yeah! And when you thought that was over the top, he proceeded to try and dismantle our entire roster until he got his way!
Porallo: This is true Stan. However, my objective side would have to admit that were it not for a suspect refereeing decision during our Battle Royal a few weeks ago, that Crystal Case and therefore a match with Ricky at Cheddarama, would have been Seth’s entitlement.
Burke: Thankfully somebody is willing to admit that this guy was screwed. Was he content to just accept that he was wronged? Hell no! He grabbed any possible opportunity he had and forced his way into the main event tonight, like a true champion would!
Porallo: In this case, he blindsided Ricky Jr, Steamboat’s son, backstage a couple weeks back. By having him in a precarious position, he triggered Ricky’s paternal instincts. With his heart ruling his head, he agreed to the main event match with Seth tonight, with the title on the line.
Mortell: And what did he do when this happened? He broke his word and almost killed Ricky Jr!! A disgrace!
Burke: He got the job done Stan! I thought a man of your standing would appreciate that in this business, it’s results that matter. And the result of that is that he has a 50/50 chance of walking out tonight as our World Heavyweight Champion!
Porallo: To update you all on that situation, Ricky Jr is still in hospital in Cleveland, where he hasn’t moved from for the last 2-3 weeks. He has suffered a severe concussion, has fractured two small vertebrae in his spinal cord and also some internal bleeding. You’ve got to wonder guys, will this fuel Ricky tonight or will it simply cause him to take his eye off the ball?!?
Mortell: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You do not want to be in the crosshairs of a vengeful Ricky Steamboat. He’s out for blood tonight, and I can’t see Seth being able to fend off the onslaught that he is undoubtedly going to bring.
Burke: And that is precisely the reason why I think the opposite. When you’re emotionally motivated, you can’t be 100% focused on the task at hand, in this case, winning the premier title in this industry. Steamboat will be divided, and it will be to his detriment. Seth walks out as the champ tonight.
Porallo: You’ve heard it from our experts, we are now ready to get underway. So here we go!
Seth strolls out to the ramp, with a huge grin on his face. Wearing a blood red outfit, he embodies the man who has laid waste to several wrestlers over the past few weeks. While he has received good reactions from the crowd, tonight it’s a different story. Against universal favourite Steamboat, a chorus of boos emanates from the fans, filling the whole arena. Seth seems to enjoy this, which only spurs him on more with laughter and wider grins. He enters the ring, and poses on the turnbuckle, with the boos getting louder as he raises his arms. As he jumps down, he takes a look up toward the ceiling, where the HCE World Heavyweight Championship is hanging down from. He looks out around the ring, and various shaped ladders can be seen both set up and folded on the floor.
There is a palpable tension as a group of masked Shaolin monks appear on the ramp. Engaging in a ritual prayer before interpretive Buddhist dancing, they build up to another monk beside a gong. As it smashes, it coincides with Ricky’s theme starting. Suddenly, smoke appears in the middle, and up through the floor arrives Ricky, to a deafening ovation, the loudest of the night. He is dressed in a light samurai-like robe, and can be seen high-fiving fans, all while not taking his eye off of Rollins. He ghosts down the ramp, and slides underneath. Rollins can be seen laughing at him as he silently takes off his top. He takes a moment to look up at the title hanging from the ceiling, but quickly is back focused on Seth again.
Announcer: The following is a LADDER MATCH…AND IT IS FOR THE HCE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! INTRODUCING FIRST: FROM DAVENPORT, IOWA…WEIGHING IN AT 217 POUNDS…SEEEEEEEEEEETH ROOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLIINNSSSSSSSSSSSS!
(The crowd boos loudly)
And, his opponent…FROM WEST POINT, NEW YORK…WEIGHING IN AT 235 POUNDS….RRRRRIIIIICKY THE DRAGOOOOOOOOON STEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMBOOOOATTT!
(The crowd cheers hugely, with the roars becoming almost deafening)
The bell rings, and straight away both men launch themselves at each other. They hammer away with rights and lefts simultaneously to the huge approval from the crowd. This leads to a spot of take downs and lock ups, with both wrestlers managing to wriggle free of the other. This stalemate draws cheers from the crowd, and loud clapping.
At the 5 minute mark, Steamboat clotheslines Seth over the top rope to the outside. Seth scrambles to the barricade to try to get back up, but is met by a suicide dive by Steamboat, crashing them both into the railing. Steamboat attempts to charge at Rollins, but he sidesteps, resulting in Ricky crashing into the steel steps with a thud! Rollins seizes control based on this, and picking Ricky up, runs towards the railing, unleashing a buckle bomb into the barricade. Wasting no time, he pushes a ladder into the ring, and attempts to set it up.
Burke: Seth wasting no time here! He’s out to get this done early!
Porallo: Come on Ricky!
Seth begins climbing, but only manages to get to the 4th rung, when he feels a tug on his leg. Steamboat has somehow gotten back into the ring, and tries to disrupt him from taking the title. Seth falls down the ladder, and lands on his feet, where they begin punching each other again. A huge right from Ricky leaves Seth reeling, and Ricky proceeds to knock him down with a knee to the back. Seth is prone in the ring, and Ricky bends over him before locking in his patented double chickenwing submission. While there are no submissions, Ricky doesn’t care as he knows Seth can’t get a rope break, and he knows it will inflict as much pain as possible. He has it locked in tight, and the crowd are baying for Seth’s blood, as he screams in agony.
Porallo: Ricky is letting out all his frustration here! I’m sure his son is on his mind as he takes all his anger out on Seth, the man who severely injured Ricky Jr!
Mortell: I told you guys, a vengeful Ricky Steamboat is anyone’s worst nightmare!
Ricky eventually releases the hold, and rolls out of the ring. Checking by the commentator’s table, he folds up a steel chair to the delight of the fans, and rolls back inside. He unleashes a litany of chair shots on Seth’s back, before deliberately targeting the injured arm from the chickenwing earlier. A thought then occurs to him, as he places Seth’s arm into the chair, and goes up to the top turnbuckle.
Porallo: If this connects, he could shatter his arm!
Mortell: No different to when Seth tried to shatter his son’s neck!
Steamboat climbs up to the top rope, and measures up Seth’s arm. He leaps…only for Seth to roll his arm away at the last moment. In one fluid motion, he swings his arm which has the chair still in place, for it to connect with Ricky’s skull. A loud “OOOOOHHH” can be heard from the crowd, as Ricky falls to the ground.
Burke: Wow, what a move! Quick as a cat!
Seth removes the chair from his arm, and throws it away, however as he does, he can be seen wincing and holding his arm, with Steamboat having done a real number on it. He is effectively now left with one good arm, making his task more arduous. He waits for Ricky to stir slightly, before almost kicking his head off with the Avada Kedavra. Ricky rolls out of the ring in pain, as Seth follows.
We’re at the 15 minute mark now, and Seth rolls Ricky back into the ring. He is clearly subscribing to the mantra of beating the hell out of his opponent before attempting to scale the ladder, as he lays punches into Steamboat. He lifts him up and hits a suplex. Instantly, he’s on him again as he stomps on his back. He sets up the ladder, and attempts to scale it, only out of the corner of his eye he sees Ricky getting up. Quickly, he rushes over to him and throws him over the top rope, before turning his attention back to the ladder. However, Ricky to the delight of the fans has skinned the cat, and propels himself back over the ropes. He climbs one rung lower than Seth, and with a huge push lifts him onto his shoulders. Standing back down, he turns and drives Seth down with a huge electric chair drop. The fans sound their appreciation, and a “THIS IS AWESOME” chant breaks out around the arena. It is Ricky’s turn now to scale the ladder, and he makes it all the way to the top! He reaches desperately for the belt, but he has to take a moment to get his breath back, as he puts his head down and pauses on the ladder. This is all the time Seth needs, as he is climbing the ladder on the other side! He hits a right (BOO!), while Steamboat retaliates with a left (YEAHHH!). Seth counters with a headbutt (BOO!), while Ricky hits a headbutt of his own (YEAHHH!). Seth hits two more headbutts in quick succession, which cause Ricky to once again need to catch his breath. Seth grabs his neck, and puts Ricky’s arm over his shoulder.
Porallo: No way Seth! No way! You can’t! It’s too risky!
Burke: Gamechanger time coming right up!
Seth is trying to lift Ricky, but after the intensity so far, and his injured arm, he is finding it difficult. He can be heard screaming in agony, and with one last push, he lifts Ricky over his head for a huge superplex off the top of the ladder….which he rolls through from and manages to hit a Falcon Arrow!!! The crowd put their allegiances aside for a moment, and can be heard chanting simultaneously “LET’S GO STEAMBOAT…LET’S GO SETH! LET’S GO STEAMBOAT….LET’S GO SETH!”
Porallo: Only here at HCE can you see this kind of athleticism, what a match these two are putting on!
Burke: This is absolutely sensational!!!
Ricky rolls out of the ring, as Seth is on the ground desperately trying to get some air back into his lungs. It takes a couple of minutes for this to happen, as he needs to grab the rope with his one remaining good arm in order to prop himself up. Again, it is notable how he is writhing in pain, and any free chance he gets, he lets his arm hang limp in order to minimise the use. He struggles towards the ladder once more, and takes a small break every step he climbs up. As he gets to the second last rung, we can see Steamboat coming up onto the apron. Launching himself, he springboards onto the top rope, and leaps onto the same rung on the other side. From there, they begin punching each other incessantly again, as their will to win is matched by the other. Ricky reaches desperately for the belt, but is only able to brush off the gold. Seth momentarily drops down to the confusion of everybody, but we then see why as he pushes the ladder back towards Ricky in order for him to fall. He is quick to react to this, as simultaneously, he leaps over the top of the ladder, and hits his diving crossbody onto Seth!!!!
Mortell: All the stops are being pulled out tonight, what a main event!
Burke: Even though you are old, I agree with you wholeheartedly!
The crowd are now chanting for Ricky, as he struggles to his feet. He stomps on Seth a couple of times as he pushes him under the bottom rope. He rolls out with him aswell, as we now come to the 25 minute mark. He picks up a ladder left outside, and props it up between the ring apron and the commentator’s table. Picking up Seth, he brings him over towards the ladder, and puts his arm over his shoulder. He goes for the suplex, but Seth somehow manages to reverse out of it in midair as he front flips over the ladder, landing on his feet. As he lands, he kicks the ladder, which hits Ricky in the face! Ricky is reeling now, and Seth smells blood. He pulls Ricky over towards the steel steps, and pulls them towards him. He places Steamboats head on the steps, and looks malevolently over at the commentator’s table. Taking the cover off the table, he stands up on top of it, as the crowd roars expectantly!
Porallo: This would surely be game over! I can’t bear to watch!
Mortell: This is it, this is it!!!
Burke: Come on Seth!
Seth takes a breath, and while holding his arm, takes a step back. He pushes himself forward and leaps off the table towards the steel steps. His foot connects with the prone Ricky Steamboat’s head, driving it into the steel steps, for a wicked Curb Stomp! The crowd ooohhs and aaahhhs, as they appreciate the severity of the move. However, as he completes the move, his momentum cannot stop him from hitting into the steel post! Both men are laid out for the time being, however the smart man will tell you that Steamboat’s race could well be run.
As we approach the 35 minute mark, Seth is now trying to get to his feet as he rolls back into the ring. With the ladder in place, he starts crawling up the rungs, clutching his arm which is still feeling the effects of the steel chair. The crowd is a mixture of boos and excitement, as he wills himself through the pain up to the top of the ladder. He looks around and makes a reach for the belt, but mistakenly hits it, causing it to rock wildly back and forth away from him. As he attempts to regain his composure, a loud roar can be heard from the crowd as what looks like a security guard wearing a baseball cap jumps the barricade and enters the ring. As Seth is dragged down from the ladder, the guard’s baseball cap falls to reveal the attacker as none other than…
MVP!!!
Burke:Now what the hell is that guy doing here?!?!?!?!?
Porallo: He’s here to settle a score, when Rollins took him out a few weeks ago!! He’s here for revenge after being screwed!
MVP starts hammering away at Rollins, to the delight of the crowd. Steamboat is still only moving very slowly on the outside as this is occurring. MVP throws Rollins into the corner, and follows it up with a huge Player’s Boot, leaving him reeling. MVP, then picks him up and hits him with the Playmaker, to roars from the crowd. As he hits it, he turns around to see Ricky Steamboat just getting back into the ring. They begin to eyeball each other, and start clenching their fists. They go toward each other to begin fighting, when suddenly…THE LIGHTS GO OUT!
The crowd are perplexed by this as they are wondering what is going on. After what feels like a minute, the sound of African drums can be heard reverberating through the arena…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp6GCw2JbnE
As the lights come back on, Steamboat and MVP look to see that they are not alone. In the ring with them are the figures of…The Godfather, D’Lo Brown…and Mark Henry.
Mortell: What are they doing?? These guys have no business being here!!
Straight away, Mark Henry hits a huge clothesline on MVP, while D’Lo & The Godfather work on Steamboat, pummelling him in the corner. The crowd are booing this hugely, as Seth remains motionless in the opposite corner. Mark Henry is just taunting MVP who has truly had his lights turned out, and locks him into a huge bearhug. After a minute, MVP’s body is lifeless, and is just thrown on the ground, rolling out of the ring. Steamboat shows some resilience, and manages to knock down Godfather, but D’Lo hits a kick, which stuns him into Mark Henry’s arms for a World’s Strongest Slam. Steamboat is now in the same physical state as MVP, combined with a brutal match, and can now no longer stand. He falls to the ground and is left helpless near the turnbuckle, being attended to by a referee, both surrounded by the three men. As they stay close to him, Seth Rollins is getting to his feet, and seeing what has happened, he has a huge smile on his face. He picks up the folded ladder, and attempts to place it underneath the belt.
Burke: Ingenious! Absolutely ingenious!
Mortell: That sneak had a plan B this whole time!
While unfolding the ladder, Godfather, D’Lo & Henry turn around to see Seth starting to climb. He gives them a smile and mouths the words ‘Thank you’. The men smile back at him, only to start clubbing him on the back and bringing him down also! Their attack on Rollins is more violent than the Steamboat and MVP, as D’Lo picks up the ladder. With Godfather holding Rollins, D’Lo charges at him until his face meets the steel of the ladder. Placing the ladder on the ground, they then give Rollins to Henry, who plants him into the ladder with another World’s Strongest Slam. With Seth lying precariously on the ladder still, he then bounces off the ropes and hits a huge splash, leaving Rollins writhing in agony. It is at this point in time, that a fourth man appears on the ramp…
Xavier Woods.
Woods: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I hope you are all enjoying the proceedings tonight at Cheddarama, especially this SPECTACULAR main event! (Crowd is booing heavily) I’m so sorry for it to have to come to a premature end, but there are a few things that my brothers and I would like to advise you all of at this time.
Porallo: Brothers? Who is he on about?
Woods: You see…for the past couple of weeks, my brothers and I have been downtrodden, mocked, taken for granted. We were just expected to be the cogs in the wheel, the ones who would do what we were told to do just because somebody was more important than us. Well TONIGHT, THAT IS COMING TO AN END! Look at the ring before you, 3 of our top wrestlers, decimated and victimised! This is just the beginning. We have finally seen the light, we have seen that we are not a group of people can just be marginalised and treated as second class. We are not just a group. We are the nation…OF DOMINATION!
And to thank the kind soul who showed us how we could rebirth ourselves into our life of dominance, we have paved the way for him to reach his destiny. BEHOLD!!!!!!!
Xavier, and all the members in the ring suddenly kneel and bow. As the crowd remains loud, it is cut off by the music playing on the titantron…
The figure of Sean O’Haire appears on the ramp, smiling and laughing. He looks upon Xavier and walks past nodding. It is then apparent that what he is clutching in his hand is none other than the dented Crystal Case, as he makes his way to the ring with purpose.
Porallo: You have got to be kidding me?!? He can’t use that!!
Burke: The rules say it entitles the holder to a place in the title match at Cheddarama. This title match is still going on, and he sure looks like the holder of it right now to me Eric!!!
Porallo: But…bbbbutttt, this can’t be!
O’Haire enters the ring, where the three other members of the Nation have not moved from their kneeled position. He approaches a frightened referee, to inform him that he is cashing in the Crystal Case, in order to insert him into the match right now. The ref, too scared to do otherwise, accepts the case and re-rings the bell to signal that it is now a triple threat ladder match.
Sean makes sure the ladder is set into position, and begins to climb. The boos rain down as he is up the ladder in seconds. Godfather, D’Lo & Henry are still kneeled and motionless, as he slowly unhooks the title from the hanger and clutches it to his chest.
Winner:and new HCE World Heavyweight Champion…Sean O’Haire
Burke: I’m shocked at what has gone on here, but you have to admit, this was quite a stunningly executed plan by Sean O’Haire. That is why he is the master manipulator!
Porallo: This is shocking! He’s stolen the title, STOLEN IT!!!
Mortell: And I presume John Laurinaitis was in on the whole damn thing to begin with aswell!!! What a stinker!
Porallo: As you can tell from our vociferous crowd, this has been an unforgettable night here at Cheddarama. We have lots of questions that remain unanswered, and to be honest I am not too sure if we will get them right away! From me, Eric Porallo along with Stan Mortell and Elijah Burke, we wish you a good night and until next time, take care from all of us at Hard Cheese Entertainment!
As this is being said, O’Haire has climbed down from the ladder with his title. He drapes it over his shoulder, as Woods has now entered the ring to join the other Nation members who are stood also. They line up either side of Sean, and with their heads bowed, raise their right fists up into the air. As the crowd continues to boo incessantly, their battle cry begins playing…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZkKuNja5cQ
O’Haire finally raises his right fist as the music plays, and begins smiling while mouthing:
“We didn’t tell you anything, that you didn’t already know…”0
