Importing ammo from the UK

I'm looking for a little info on importing ammo from the UK.

What do I need to do and can you put up a link to getting the import license downloaded.

I'm in the waiting to import a fire arm, this requires that I have a license issued for that firearms prior to applying for an import license.
So I would reason that you would need the relevant license for ammunition and more importantly the 'limit' that you import would have to tally with the limit on your firearms license.

It's the exact same process as importing a firearm, to the extent that you use the same form (Firearms for Individuals), just include details of the ammo instead of the firearm. Make sure you click on the "Firearms for individuals, Apply to import Firearms/Ammunition from member state" and fill in Part B for Ammo instead of part A for firearms. When asked if ti's CIP proofed you need to tick Yes (assuming they are)

I used this to import from HPS in the UK. The only issue is transport. Can be expensive to ship and there is the issue of who will ship it too you. I done it as part of a group buy. Each lad got his own import, and we shipped as one group. Last done it a few years ago.
