I'd love to know the full facts here. It appears that all things being equal his preference was to stay.

Amazing the way things have gone in a year. Macken and Gopperth are part of a team that absolutely rinses Leinster and tops their ERC group beating Toulon to top spot (who put both them and us out last year).

George Hook has tweet up recently saying Sexton wasn't concussed during the Wasps game.

Edit: Leinster rugby saying the same?

Anyone else see the squad update from Cullen? He says Leinster are currently missing 35 players through injury and international duty. That includes a few academy players who would've been selected this weekend but have subsequently bees rule out too. Nacewa had a minor knee op and will be out for a few weeks. Conan back in three to four weeks as well.

So, eh if you wouldn't mind giving us a few players back that would be great, Joe.

Yeah, he wasn't "concussed", he just got a head injury that forced him to take no further part in the game.

So technically, Sexton hasn't been concussed since November 2014.

    Technically...

George Hook wanted him to retire this morning.

It sounds like he got a bang to the head but didn't receive a concussion.

You can get a bang to the head that results in disorientation and fogginess without also being concussed, but I don't even know if that is the case.

Honestly, I'm hoping he is fine and released to play but certainly nothing at the potential cost of his health.

It's a terrible blow to lose Moore and I'm sure questions will be asked regarding how Leinster/IRFU handled the contract offers etc. All eyes on Tadhg Furlong now to replace Mike Ross. Is there another tighthead prospect in the academy that could step up?

Leinster going to confirm Moore is leaving the club today

Royce Burke Flynn is next in line. He is on a full contract. After that-Oisin Heffernan..

His name is just too D4 sounding, he must be a back parading as a fatty.

It's going to have to be that Oisin fella or were buying someone in.

Burke-Flynn is out for 4 months.

Nacewa also going to be out for 2-3 weeks.

Sounds like Healy, Ross, COS, Triggs, Denton, Kearney, Conan, Byrne and Thornbury all also ruled out.

Not sure if we have any other players left! Just 20 players in training.

Ha BOD knows revenge is best served cold anyway.

D'arcy is getting a, deserved, doing over his TV show at the moment and now this!

I was a bit surprised how hard BOD took it. He says he doesn't hold grudges (mentioning Tana Umaga Spear tackle), but he definately holds a grudge with the two DJs.

Very sincere talking about when his confidence was very low around 2008.

He did go on to say that he didn't hold a grudge with those two DJs and has gone on to work with them on other projects. He was asked specifically about the whole Lunster phenomenomonmom and he just pointed those guys out as examples who annoyed him at the time I think.

With RBF out, Heffernan is next in line but he's miles off imo. Medium to longterm Loughman potentially could be at least a very good pro12 player.

Forget Moore. With the injury it means a clean break, never be capped for Ireland again, bu-bye.

White and Furlong, its up to you boys.

Leinster might need to give Clint Newland a call again.

I thought he protested too much about not holding a grudge! If he didn't hold a grudge he would never have singled them out and more or less identified them.

How'd Sexton fail the HIA on sat and now he suddenly didnt fail it... A bad look with all the hoopla around concussions
    http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/international/leinster-say-johnny-sexton-did-not-fail-head-injury-assessment-1.2509648

He's been way below his own standards for an age at this point, an enforced rest could be a good thing.

Odd timing to send Nacewa in for a minor op, was this one of those "you can have it now or you can wait but not too long" type things?

Well he might have passed the HIA but have had symptoms that the Doc wasn't comfortable sending him out with. The symptoms may have been transitory and just at the time of the impact or for a few minutes afterwards.
He's been way below his own standards for an age at this point, an enforced rest could be a good thing.
Last few games he's been back to close to his best. Absolutely ran the show against Dan Biggar and the Ospreys.
