Hi all. Hope this ok Cass.
I am having trouble getting not first grey to come to trap this season.

I've tried bread meal grain and scraps eggs too. Any experience in trap placement or lures would be greatly appreciated. Have had lots of success in recent years but just can't get it goin this year.
    Thanks all

Greys are meat eaters, get some road kill or a bit of liver from the butchers & it will do the trick

I'm really sorry about your other thread lad, but it's been this way for years. I know it goes on, and i'm sure so do the relevant bodies, but up to a couple of months ago (when we last asked for clarification) we are still not given any definite answers.

Hi there, if you know of an area with a few grey crows hanging about you should bait the area well first. Use shot rabbits well opened up guts and stuff all an show, another thing I find great is if you go to your local butcher and ask him for a bag of his scraps and cuttings he would be binning. ( just a side note I feed my dogs totally on this stuff it's brill). Lay this out in same area for for a few days. Keep it fresh. Next put the trap beside the stuff for a day or two let them get used to it, then put some fresh stuff under the trap maybe dig a small hole so trap lies flat, leave it open and they will jump in to get at their food. Best off putting in a area with pleanty of greys the more activity around the trap the better.
It has never failed for me.

Ya I would moved it there now tonight I think the farmer feeding sheep nearby was putting them off. Foxes kept taking meat. Using meal now for a go.

Hey, the old two birds with one stone. You have a fox bait point now too, trap or shoot them, or if you can see where they are coming onto the field (tracks/passes) to get to your setup set up snares.
