This could be the match that defines our season. Win tomorrow and follow it up with another at home again on Saturday and we could be right in the title chase. Lose and we are losing serious ground on the top three.

    Lloris
    Walker-Vertonghen-Alderweireld-Rose
    Dembele-Dier
    Lamela-Alli-Son
    Kane

Again, Son needs to be given a chance ahead of Eriksen.

Going to this one after work in London tomorrow night. Cant wait!

Totally agree with that team Slegs.

Dembele and Son for Carroll and Eriksen is exactly what's needed.

I'd be happy if Eriksen starts. He's not been great, but Son was poor the last two games he played (granted, he's only back, and only got a short amount of game time). Eriksen brings more overall for me though.

Either way, i'm reasonably confident about this.

Yeah it's not that Son has been great, but his energy is more suited to Poch's pressing game.

Although I do like Son as an impact sub against tired legs. Eriksen isn't suited to coming off the bench.

Massive home game for Spurs tonight and a win would be a massive boost. Now is the time for the Spurs players to step up to the mark and make it count. A home game under lights on a Wednesday night, the Lane should be rocking.
(id probally take a draw but that does nor win you titles...)

    ps...

    Spurs -1
    Stoke win

Vardy starts for them, that was a quick recovery from him.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,282 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

Yeah, Dembele is a big blow for us, and Vardy is a big plus for them. Will be a tough game, and Davies and Walker need to be absolutely on top of their game.

I hope our fitness can shine through. Carroll could have a big game.

Guys please stop giving away fouls near the D. I will take Alli off now for Dembele.

    We just bottled it...

We are just not good enough...all talk of the title must stop... we do not win enough games and will be lucky to get 4th

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,208 ✭✭✭Long Time Lurker

That's disgraceful and its all our fault. Possession possession possession and yet no commitment to attack at all. We're the home side. Attack them. Lamella was a waste of space again. Poch loves him so its pointless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,298 ✭✭✭prodsc

Ah well, I never fully thought we'd challenge it just would have been nice to believe a little bit longer. On the plus side results have gone someway ok in the race for 4th.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,747 ✭✭✭irishmover

Leicester will go 7 points clear of us. Atleast we can drop the title talk.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,072 ✭✭✭mass_debater

How did Dier end up on the ground?

I think Lamela was doing okay. In my opinion, Walker is a waste of space in the team,.

    Our full-backs are crap.

Bottlers. End of. Pressure was on and we crumbled. Same old

I've tried hard to give lamella every chance but he just does nothing. Intensity yes. Commitment yes. Ultimately headless and despite the potential shown I now feel he's a hindrance.
    Anyway ....

I hope we do not start to fold after this defeat. Leicester work rate was fantastic.

Now Sunderland is showing some some fight which means another defeat/draw is on the card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭tippspur

Sickened after that, you just knew at one stage that we were never going to score tonight.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,282 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

That felt like Spurs of old. Absolutely dominated in possession, but nowhere near good enough in the final 3rd. Too angry to think about individual performances right now, but we simply aren't good enough up front to even consider a title challenge.

    Absolutely disgusted that we lost.
