Any place in town to buy simple and cheap 3.5 to 6.5 mm stereo adapter? Without spending a fortune on something that costs a few euros online...

I would try Dealz, Euro Giant and Mr Price.

Indeed, a magnificent heist it appears.

Be cautious buying "second-hand" phones in the run up to Christmas around Tralee so.

Might think you're getting a great bargain on an iPhone 7 and instead land yourself in a whole pile of misery.

THE Christmas lights in the Square have been vandalised for the second day in a row.

The LED light at the foot of the Christmas tree and the string lights on the tree were discovered to have been damaged on Wednesday afternoon and it is thought the incident occurred between 4pm and 5.15pm.

It was immediately repaired and replaced, but when checked again this morning the lights on the tree were again were found to be vandalised. In all, the damage is estimated at around €1,000.

Gardaí are asking that if anyone saw the damage being carried out to contact them at Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

Two weeks ago the crib in the Square was damaged and a man has since contacted Tralee gardaí to claim responsibility for the damage.

Hugh cullotys are a rip off, buy online.

Its a 2 Euro adaptor ffs, how much can be saved by buying it online (not to mind postage).

Cullotys are probably the best place to start, they do musical equipment so more likely to have that type of item.

Not talking about Cullotys, but I saw situations when €1 stuff was nearly €10 in Harvey Norman or other offline shops. Alright, it is branded vs Chinese - but I do not always want to pay for the brand. Offline often leaves me no choice but to (over)pay for the branded stuff...

Absolutely agree, the electrical stores (and Tesco too) will gouge you on cables and connectors.

€30-€40 for USB and HDMI leads is common enough and what's more shocking is people are obviously buying them!

The specific connector the OP is looking for though, they may struggle to obtain locally in a non-specialist store.

You are right about Tesco, I was in there last night and an IPhone cable was something like €19.99 whereas the same thing in Dealz is a couple of Euro.

Yeah it's crazy around town! I went food shopping around 12 in dunnes & I was lucky to get a car space! I was glad I didn't leave it later!

Good to see the town busy though!

There is money being spent this year, everyone queuing up with their hands full, a huge difference to five yrs ago, was in one queue at about 11 for half an hour, I was glad I rolled out of bed when i did and made the effort to be an early bird, but there were plenty earlier birds than me, some of the shops on the main street were still closed so off to manor i went at that hour and it was buzzing, got my few things needed and came home driving against the traffic which was making its way in for the day, was glad to get back and hope business keep going for the people, give them a great boost,

We need to do more shopping tomorrow, mainly for the baby as we haven't got him anything yet! Luckily he'll have us up early so we might actually leave the house early and get stuff done!

Just downloading a few games off Steam, Jesus Vodafone are gone by the wayside completely. Paying for a connection that used to give 7-9MB/s downloading, now it's throttled at 1.5MB/s

Anyone hear fireworks going off at around 10.30pm?

Edited to say apparently they were from the Greyhound stadium.

Looks like it's a pop up shop in the old chemist on the corner of Edward St and Castle at. The A1 supermarket beside the Indian Castle restaurant has a Phone shop part... They've just cut the sign off and stuck it up over the new premises

There's a power cut in the Moyderwell/Boherbee area of town. It's been off since about 10.30am & estimated time to return is 2.15pm! Hopefully it will be back sooner than that.

Apart from our own Kerry footballer Aidan O'Mahoney! Seems a bizarre choice to me! :D
