Well girls I didn't get my flashing smiley this morning but I did get a solid smiley!!! The only thing is we didn't dtd the last two nights I went to my friends for a catch up and a few glasses of vino and hubby was asleep when I got home!! Won't get a chance to dtd till tonight with the little one so hoping I'll be covered if we dtd tonight and tmw and that we haven't missed the boat this month!! Turns out the fertility friend app was right with its green box!! Don't know why I didn't get a flashing smiley

9 days late, 2 negative pregnancy tests. Not due back to the gynae until July to hear what she discovered in my mri only know that she was happy, starting to get a lil frustrated!

Isn't it just so frustrating?? I stopped using Nuvaring end of January and had a regular 28 day cycle after that, followed by a 38 day cycle and I'm now on day 51 of my cycle and I think my period has finally arrived today.

I was using the Tesco own-brand OPK but to be honest I just got so fed up of my messed up cycle that I've stopped using them.

For this cycle in think I'm going to concentrate on monitoring CM and try DTD as often as possible.

    Here we go again........

Seriously frustrating particularly as I came off the pill in Oct and my cycles had gotten to between 29-31 days so fairly regular! Well enough that the gynae was happy!

Really trying to focus on not getting my hopes up even unrealistically!

I feel your frustration... I gave up on opk's too. Gonna try temping this month from whenever AF actually arrives....

Anyone looking to temp or start temping Lloyds pharmacy are selling their own brand bb thermometers reduced from 6.50 to 1.37. Picked up a spare for myself, cheaper then buying batteries for my old thermometer!

AF arrived yesterday. So disappointed. Another month gone and we don't know what else we can do.

It's so tough isn't it especially when you know it's going into another month, But hopefully next month be your month.I'm just waiting for AF and said to OH lastnight that I just know this month I'm going to be really sad that we haven't conceived.
But I'm trying to be positive about things.next month another month so I'm looking forward to it might start temping aswel.

Thank you! It really is and it's hard to stay optimistic, even my poor other half is getting so sad too each month there is nothing. I do find temping really helpful and I"m hoping in a few months if we have to go back to the fertility clinic it will give them a good picture of my cycles. Fingers crossed next month the our month!

We will get there. I was saying about reviewing other options to my OH lastnight , but he's very optimistic saying we haven't been trying that long.which sort of annoys me sometimes , especially because I'm getting older ,but anyway. Oh you have been to fertility clinic already ? Was it just to get all checked out?

This was our eight unsuccessful cycle trying, first two were probably not very focussed but still were flying the no pants dance! We went to Merrion fertility in early April just to get the initial tests done, they came back ok - I have cysts but said to keep going. We have said that we are going to go back again in late August if still nothing as then we'll have sat out 12 cycles. My OH was so optimistic at the start but now is frustrated too as we don't know why it's not working. Haven't given up hope that it will but the longer it goes on the harder I find it.

That's really good you went to get the initial test done. It's something I have been thinking about aswel. I know what you mean first 2 months we just sort of went along. This is our 5th cycle. I know what you mean last month I was sure we did everything we could. This ttc'ing is more stressful than I imagined. I'm obviously very run down , have a cold sore also my skin gone more crazy than usual, googled was a cold sore a early sign of pregnancy ! I know now I need to take a step back now and relax.

Oh I hear you! I have spent many the tww analysing every single thing/twinge/pain! I have relaxed a bit now though as I found it made the already long tww feel even longer! It is a very stressful process, much more so than I would ever have imagined. Both my gp and the clinic were very relaxed about it saying we hadn't been trying long - I'm hoping they are right and that we won't be back looking for more tests. It's good to know that there is nothing initially obvious causing a problem.

    Hey girls,
Sorry to hear Af arrived for some of you. I'm waiting for Af or to ovulate don't know which one will happen first.
Going back in to work tonight too. Unsure who knows what. Feels like an age ago since I was in work and the miscarriage happened but spent all weekend being told how lucky we were to get pregnant. Just terrified I can't stay pregnant but being positive well trying!

Good luck! It must be difficult when everyone is saying it's great you got pregnant when you still have the worries. Fingers crossed though

I know what you mean, I got ewcm this month (very rare for me) and I felt like doing a little happy dance in the loo in work! It's the little (gross) things

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 260 ✭✭Scousemouse83

Thanks girls, work was ok, weird not telling anyone or mentioning it.
Tons of ewcm (tmi) so I'd say ovulation is coming. Strange feeling getting anxious if we do conceive it will end badly again!
Mad the worry that goes along with this, Dh keeps saying we are just having sex not bd. No pressure in his mind. And I'm trying that too. Thinking positive like you girls!! Definitely the way forward!!!

I've half a box left so Im using them up. Wasn't surenifnisnovatw first or get Af so recommended I used them to see. But had ewcm too so think I should have ovulated today or tomorrow.
Heading away tomorrow and can't wait.

Are you on a month off or can you try this month too? That'll be lovely, just what you need.

Well done scousemouse for getting through work. Sure now it's done and you don't have to worry about it.its crazy all the worries. One thing I'm quiet conscious of is making sure doing the deed doesn't turn into a chore or only having it at the special time of the month!i want to do it because I enjoy but also so it takes the pressure of what ultimately we are trying to achieve. I hope your trip away does you the world of good.

Glad it's done I'm not close to any off the girls I worked with last night do it was easier than I thought as I wouldn't be sharing with them. So win/win and the girls who know won't say!
I know it's hard to not just focus on the fertile time. Think I'll be ok with that as the shift work dictates dtd than fertile times haha!! I define try don't want to loose myself in the process.
    Can't wait to get away!
